Love for Hana

CHAPTER 8

Evan enters the house while humming making Carissa and Liam look at each other see the behavior of his son. Evan who was unaware of the whereabouts of his parents was a little shocked when he heard Carissa's voice reprimanding him.

“*Assalamualaikum* first if you enter the Van house, do not just enter,” said Carissa with a slightly satirical tone.

“Eh there is mommy same papa anyway it turns out, I guess again on the out,” replied Evan casually. Evan then sat down with Carissa and Liam who were relaxing enjoying the afternoon weather at the time.

“It was indeed Papa same Mama want to go out, but your brother dipake car to the office, there is a sudden job he said,” explained Liam without taking his eyes off the book he was reading.

“Oh yes I forgot to tell my brother if today want to use his car. You won't be mad at me, will you, Mah?” ask Evan while pretending\pretending a sad look to Carissa. Carissa who saw Evan's behavior could only laugh a little.

“It is a good thing that you have a brother like Ravi's brother, Van, he is very patient with you who model like gini,” Carissa replied as she pinched the small cheek of Evan.

“But Papa wants it, lately Papa noticed you like so often smile\-smile yourself. You're in love again?” ask Liam curiously. This time he closed the book and looked at Evan. Carissa became curious because of Liam's question.

Evan immediately turned his head after hearing his father's question and immediately laughed crisply. Evan found it amusing to see the curious expressions of his parents. Both Liam and Carissa, they both wanted to know Evan's answer. They continued to stare with half hope to Evan.

Seeing that his parents did not respond to his crisp laughter, Evan stopped his laughter. Evan then pulled out his phone. He wanted to show something to his parents. He opened his mobile photo gallery and he chose a photo there.

He showed the photo to both of his parents. In the photo, Evan is standing behind a girl sitting on a park bench. Evan wrapped his arms around the girl's neck and they both smiled broadly.

“Beauty right? Her name is Hana,” Evan said with a smile full of pride. Liam and Carissa were still watching the photo, making sure what they saw was not wrong. This is the Hana they know.

Not yet had Evan realized the change in the face of his parents, his attention was diverted towards the door of their home. It was seen Ravi entering the house while greeting. “Assalamualaikum, Brother has come home,” said Ravi half-screaming.

“Abang here spit! I want you to see also the picture, here cepet!” evan shouted from the direction of the park. While Carissa and Liam are still glued to the photo Evan is showing, Ravi walks towards the source of Evan's voice.

“Emang what photos anyway, Van?” asked Ravi curiously. But Ravi's expression changed immediately after seeing the photo. He's speechless. Carissa and Liam are aware of Ravi's changing attitude. They know, Ravi likes Hana.

“How are you on diem? Beautiful is my boyfriend?” evan asked confusedly. He noticed a change in mood between them.

“Where do you know Hana from, Van?” Liam asked Evan instead of answering his youngest son's question. He does not want Evan to notice the change in the look of Carissa and Ravi.

“He's Evan's college friend, Pah. We girlfriendana has been almost three years, like,” Evan explained to Liam. Ravi's chest was like being hit by a big hammer, it hurt a lot. Evan and Hana were together.

“Mah, Pah, I went up to the room first huh. Tired really want to rest,” said Ravi lying. It feels like he can't stay there when Evan tells him about his relationship with Hana. Carissa only nodded at Ravi's words.

Ravi walked towards her bedroom with heavy footsteps. To be honest he was not tired, but after hearing Evan's words earlier, his entire body became limp. Missing her chance to get Hana's heart. He hasn't even started yet.

Ravi has never been in a romantic relationship in his entire life. Don't get me wrong, many women like and approach Ravi. But none of Ravi responded. All for him the same, just friends and nothing more.

The only woman close to him was Renata, the woman he had been friends with for a long time. Even Renata for Ravi was only a friend, nothing more. Maybe it was a long time ago, only Hana filled her heart.

Ravi lay down while staring at the ceiling of her room. He closed his eyes, recalling the beginning of his meeting with Hana. Ravi knew they were young, Hana was even five. But for some reason, there was a special feeling he felt towards Hana.

Years of never meeting, and then not fading that feeling in his heart. He could not explain, but the feeling grew slowly in his heart. There was a sense of warmth that he felt when he remembered Hana. Especially after meeting back with Hana a few months ago. The feeling was getting stronger, he was sure that this time he liked Hana. Ravi hopes to have a chance to get closer to Hana.

But today that opportunity has been closed, even before he started. He can't keep trying to get close to Hana while he already knows Hana is Evan's lover. Not until he hurt Evan's heart, his own birth and it's impossible that he forced Hana to reciprocate his feelings.

The sound of knocking at the door obscures Ravi's seagrass. When he looked towards the door of his room, there was already Carissa standing there. Ravi smiles at his mother, knowing Carissa must be worried about him.

Ravi lets Carissa in without getting out of bed. He still felt too weak to just get up from his bed. He only smiled weakly as his mother gently rubbed his tubers.

Carissa is now sitting on Ravi's bed. He knew his son was not okay at the moment. Ever since Ravi told me about Hana, he knew that Ravi kept the taste to Hana. Especially when he finds Ravi secretly stealing glances at Hana when they drove Hana home some time ago.

"Are you okay, Vi? Mama knows that you like Hana," asked Carissa gently.

"I'd be lying if I said I was okay, Mah. There is discomfort here," Ravi replied while holding onto his chest.

"But I can't do anything either, Mah. God has set my destiny like this. Maybe my destiny with Hana was only limited to our meeting nineteen years ago," Ravi continued speaking while closing his eyes.

"Mama is sure, one day you will meet a woman who can make you fall in love," said Carissa trying to comfort Ravi. Ravi just smiled.

"Eh Mama just remembered, Renata how are you? Or are you just like Renata, Vi?" ask Carissa spirit. Ravi looked at his mother in surprise.

"Well, I just think of Renata as a friend and there will never be more than that" Ravi replied casually.

I don't know how many times he had with Renata arranged like Carissa did just now. Sometimes Ravi was surprised by people who often match him with Renataa. Since she never saw Renata as a special woman, she only considered Renata as her best friend. Not as a woman that he can make a couple.

Suddenly Ravi's phone rang indicating a short message entered. It was a message from Renata. He asked Ravi and told Ravi that he would soon return to Indonesia. "Now also talked about," Ravi muttered as he stared at his phone.
