Love for Hana

CHAPTER 23

Evan wakes up because his phone doesn't stop ringing. For fifteen minutes, Evan's phone kept ringing non-stop. He then glanced at the clock that showed six o'clock in the morning past ten minutes. Evan half grumbled as he picked up his phone, he thought who had bothered him this early.

Apparently Maya's been calling him ever since. There were more than ten missed calls from Maya's numbers. Suddenly Evan's feelings are not good, he immediately contacted Maya back.

The connecting tone was heard three times before Maya picked up her phone. But strangely there was no answer from Maya, which was heard only the sound of sobs from the other end of the phone line.

Evan repeatedly calls Maya over the phone but there is still no answer from Maya. He then rushed to put on his clothes and immediately went to Maya's room. Fortunately, Maya's room is only one floor below Evan's room.

Evan immediately ran down the emergency stairs. He was very worried about Maya. Last night Evan left Maya still with his friends\-his. So he doesn't know what Maya did after the bar.

Evan is now in front of Maya's room. He knocked on Maya's door non-stop. Then Linda \-one of Maya's friends last night, opened the door with a panicked expression. "Van, Maya from earlier was hysterical," Linda said in a panic.

Evan immediately enters Maya's room and is shocked to see Maya's room falling apart. He saw in the corner of the room there was Maya who was crying hysterically while hugging her knees.

Evan turned to look at Linda asking for an explanation. Linda can only shake her head because she herself does not know what is happening to Maya. Linda was in Maya's room not long before Evan arrived.

That morning Linda wanted to take Maya to breakfast together but she was very surprised when she heard the screams from the inside of Maya's room. Linda immediately called the reception officer to help her open the door to Maya's room because she was very worried.

Linda then found Maya crying hysterically holding her whole body like she wanted to claw herself. He immediately took the initiative to call Evan, because Evan's number was the first time he found in the call list on Maya's phone.

Evan tries to get close to Maya. He moved his feet very carefully\-carefully. Slowly Evan's hand tries to touch Maya's hand. But Evan's hand has not touched Maya's skin, Maya again shouted hysterically this time pulling her own hair.

Evan flinched back backwards, but he did not want to give up. He should be able to make Maya calm if you want to know what Maya experienced. Slowly he again tried to approach Maya and said, "May, calm down.. It's me, Evan. Let's see first, it's me, Evan. Calm down, May. I'm the same Linda here."

Linda slowly approached Maya. Maya starts to stop screaming and looks around. He begins to recognize Evan's face and Linda's. His heart was a little calmer. This time Maya looked at Evan's face with despair.

Maya is asking for help. He then returned to crying, though not hysterically as before. Evan takes Maya's body into his arms. He was very sorry to see Maya's situation like this. While Linda gently rubbed Maya's hair trying to calm Maya.

Evan and Linda manage to calm Maya down. Now the three of them are on their way to Maya's house. Maya falls asleep from exhaustion after crying hysterically for a long time.

Evan and Linda are preoccupied with their thoughts\each after what they heard from Maya during the hotel earlier. They didn't expect Maya to experience such a bad thing.

While still at the hotel, Maya slowly tells what she still remembers from the incident she experienced. Apparently after Evan chose to go first from the bar, one of their friends again ordered a drink. This time, alcoholic drinks.

Maya does not know if the drink she drinks has been mixed with alcohol, she just continues to drink it unsuspecting. After that all he remembered was faintly\-vague he heard the sound of his friends\-partying, then after that he was unconscious.

Maya starts to think about things that are not\-no and continues to cry hysterically. He remembered his bad experience first which almost became a victim of abuse. Maya thinks that maybe this time the bad experience has happened to her, considering that she had woken up with the clothes she was wearing last night already scattered on the floor.

"Didn't you finish last night with Maya, Lin?" evan asked, trying to solve the problem.

"Sir, Van. I also went back to the room ten minutes after you returned," Linda replied. He was also as dizzy as Evan was thinking about this matter.

Evan and Linda both\-sama went back into silence thinking about all the possibilities. Occasionally Evan stared into the rearview mirror to see Maya's situation. Maya is still sound asleep with her eyes.

"Pity Maya. I should have taken care of him. We left together because he didn't dare to go alone. If I hadn't gone back to the first room, Maya wouldn't have been like this. It's my fault" Evan's deep in the heart.

The rest of their journey was spent in silence. Neither Evan nor Linda had another word to say. Evan takes Linda home first, while Maya is still sound asleep.

When he returned to drive his car to Maya's house, Evan's phone rang. There was a short message notification coming into his phone. It was a message from Hana. He asks if Evan and Maya have returned from the summit or not.

Evan just looked at the message without replying to it. Not to think Hana's message is not important, but frankly Evan does not know what to reply. It feels like he told this to Hana but he was afraid that later this problem would get bigger and actually make Maya more traumatized.

Maya finally awakens when Evan has just entered the housing complex of Maya's house. He said, "Van, I don't want to go home yet."

Evan also nodded. He then parked his car in a park inside the housing complex. Maya then got out of the car and sat on a chair in the garden. Evan sat down next to him.

"Gue doesn't know what happened to me last night, Van. All I know now is that I am broken. I don't want to live anymore" Maya said.

Evan felt very guilty when he heard Maya's words. They don't know what's going on, but whatever it is right now is shaking Maya's soul so much that she can say she doesn't want to live anymore.

"Lo don't talk like that. I'm here, I won't leave you, May. I will take care of you," said Evan trying to calm Maya.

"No need, Van. I'm broken, I'm dirty. I feel like a useless old thing. I want to die!" scream Maya. Evan is very surprised and afraid if Maya does something reckless. Maya cannot think clearly.

Evan hugged Maya tightly. "Lo don't talk like that. Believe me, I will be responsible if there is anything\-nothing the same lo," persuaded Evan.

Maya then returned Evan's embrace which finally made Evan aware of what he just said. Evan should not have promised anything that would be difficult for him to keep to Maya.
