CHAPTER 21
Time has shown at seven o'clock at night when guests enter the hall where the reunion event of Bumi Pertiwi High School will be held. That night there were quite a number of invited guests who came to attend the event.
One of them is Maya and Evan. They arrived at the hotel where the reunion was held three hours before the event began. After checking in at each of the\ rooms, Evan and Maya immediately walked separately.
The atmosphere became very awkward between the two of them after Maya answered Evan's question while in the car earlier. It was fortunate that the awkward atmosphere only lasted for fifteen minutes, because after that they had arrived at their destination.
Evan chatting with friends\-his during school was right in front of the hall door. They are still busy exchanging stories while waiting for the arrival of their other friends\-friends.
Until one of Evan's friends is amazed to see a girl walking towards them from a distance, "Waw! So pretty!"
Evan also looked curious about what his friend saw. The girl was Maya. That night Maya wore a black shanghai dress with gold-colored flower carvings. The model of the clothes that make the body make the curves of Maya's body look perfect. This time Maya styled her hair with a butterfly haircut model and combined it with natural makeup to make it look perfect.
Evan can't stop staring at Maya even as Maya walks by her and her friend\-friends. He really\-totally fixated on Maya's performance tonight. Although everyone knows Maya is a very beautiful girl, but tonight Maya's appearance is extraordinary according to Evan.
"That's Sasmaya, right? Uh, didn't he like you the same, Van?" ask one of Evan's friends.
"Yes, I don't know" Evan replied briefly. He tried to hide his admiration for Maya tonight. I don't know why there's a sense that Evan can't explain when he sees Maya tonight.
Evan had to admit, he wanted to show off to his friends\-his that he actually came here with Maya. But then he remembered Hana. For a moment he forgot that he already had Hana.
He hurriedly brushed it off from his mind. Evan then walks into the hall along with his friend\-friends. He just wants to get through the night with fun with his old friends\-friends. Understandably since graduating from school they have separated the city and very rarely can meet.
The event began at exactly seven in thirty minutes. Various formal events are followed by invited guests solemnly. Some guests even shed tears during a video screening session of the documentary reminiscing about some of their colleagues or teachers who have gone home.
Not with Evan. His concentration is disturbed. I don't know why he always turned his head towards Maya. It felt like he wanted to keep looking at Maya non-stop. The table that Maya occupied together with her friend\-friends was only two tables away from the table that Evan occupied.
It turns out that it was realized by a friend from Maya. He found Evan watching Maya. He lale brought his body closer to Maya to fill, "May, Evano from earlier worried you know not."
Maya speechless. Actually he really wants to smile to hear it, but it feels wrong if he does. Maya has promised herself she won't betray Hana. But why is the temptation so great, this is an opportunity that will not come twice for him.
Maya still tries to ignore the words of her friend, until she sees Evan staring at her. Evan and Maya's eyes met for a few seconds before they each turned their eyes to another place.

The night is very late. The wall clock in the hall was already showing at eleven p.m., but there were still some invited guests who still stayed to tell the story longer.
Until finally all that remains is Maya with her three friends, and Evan with some other friends. Friends\-their friends plan to go to the hotel bar where they stay, initially either Maya or Evan refused to come along, but somehow they both stuck together with friends\- their friends.
Arriving at the bar, friends\-friends Evan began ordering drinks and snacks, while Maya and her friends\-friends went straight to an empty table. Evan follows them from behind, more precisely he deliberately walked behind Maya. Evan accidentally walks very close to Maya, as if he wants to keep Maya from the gaze of another male\ at the bar that night.
Of course, it was successful in making Maya so misbehaved that she stumbled into a chair right in front of the table they were headed to. Evan's reflex captures Maya's body, causing her to pull Maya's body into his arms.
Evan's heart rate is racing. "No, this is wrong!" evan murmured in his heart. He rushed to the toilet after asking Maya if she was okay.
Maya just nodded. I don't know how red Maya's face is this time. It was fortunate that the lighting within the bar was so dim that the change in the hue of his face was unknown to anyone.
"May, you still like Evano huh?" ask one of Maya's friends.
"He's got a girl already" Maya replied briefly. But Maya's friend was not satisfied with the answer he got.
"So you still like it but are hindered because he already has a girl," muttered friend Maya. Maya gives no answer what\-what.
He can't say no, but he still likes Evan. Moreover, tonight, Evan looks very handsome and his attitude that looks after Maya earlier made Maya more like him.
Maya remembers why she liked Evan. Evan used to help her when Maya was almost harassed by thugs. Evan even sets up a body to protect Maya. That's how Maya liked Evan. How happy he was when he found out Evan was attending the same school as him.
Maya thinks that Evan will recognize her, but she is wrong. Evan does not recognize Maya and instead acts indifferent to Maya. It makes Maya feel curious, how can Evan forget about it that he recently helped.
Maya finally finds out everything about Evan back then. He also secretly\ always watched Evan from a distance. The more Maya recognizes Evan, the more she puts her heart on him.
Maya's daydream disappears when one of her friends puts a glass of drink in front of her. Without asking what\-nothing Maya directly upheld the drink. That night Maya and Evan spent partying with friends\-friends. But they knew that after that night their lives would change.
