Love for Hana

CHAPTER 17

"Mas, you're not kidding, are you? I didn't hear wrong, did I, Mas?" alita asked with teary eyes.

She repeatedly told Bramantyo what her husband had just said. Alita could not help but hold back her tears. He continued to thank God for what he heard. Alita hugged her husband, finally the tightness in her heart for a dozen years can disappear.

"I'm sorry for all this time Alita. I hurt a lot of people, especially you. I know you love Kanaya and Hana very much. To be honest I have long wanted to meet them, but the ego still holds my heart and my mind.

"Until I'm late, the daughter-in-law I should have treated lovingly like my own purty has been gone forever. I didn't even get an apology from him" Bramantyo said.

He slowly wept in his wife's arms and regretted all his actions. Bramantyo will now try to make amends for his past mistakes. He must meet with Hana immediately and apologize directly to his grandson.

"It's okay\-nothing, Mas. Thank you for fixing everything now. I'm sure Endi would be very happy to hear this," Alita said. He was about to pick up his phone and contact Effendi but was stopped by Bramantyo. Her husband was still not ready to meet Effendi at this time.

Now Alita understands what is happening to her husband at this time. Guilt had taken hold of him and weighed him heavily. His body felt unusually tired.

Alita looked at her husband's face, gently rubbed Bramantyo's cheeks. Now her face looks sad, Alita can feel the sadness behind her husband's eyes. But the thing she was very grateful for was that her husband was now able to open his heart to Hana.

"Now you take a break, Mom. I'll ask the doctor when you can go home. After that I will immediately take you to meet Hana," said Alita terseyum.

That smile. The smile that had been missing all this time from Alita's face. A sincere smile that once made Bramantyo fall in love with his wife. Unfortunately the smile faded even when Effendi and his family left their home.

Bramantyo secretly\ often find Alita crying over Effendi's photo. He initially did not care, because he was sure Effendi would definitely return by himself. But after two years passed, Effendi did not return. Alita continued to act the same way towards him.

It was then that Bramantyo began to interfere with Effendi's life. He always threatened Effendi would freeze all assets that Effendi had. Bramantyo wants to make Effendi live in distress, thinking his son will definitely return.

If his son returns, then his wife's attitude will change again as it used to be to him. Unfortunately, Effendi did not want to return. Effendi will return if Kanaya and Hana come with him, he will not go back home again without his family.

It makes Bramantyo angry and desperate. He did not know why Effendi had so defended Kanaya, an ordinary woman, not from a distinguished family, even being an orphan.

In the end, Bramantyo threatened to separate Effendi and his family. He will send Kanaya and Hana to live apart from Effendi and will never be found. Bramantyo will make the lives of Kanaya and Hana suffer greatly.

Effendi inevitably had to follow his father's wishes. He left Kanaya and Hana with a heavy heart at that time. For nineteen years he could only see his wife and children from a distance without touching them.

Effendi does not want Bramantyo to do anything bad to Kanaya and Hana when he finds out that Effendi is secretly\-still watching them. Kanaya even knows what Bramantyo likes. Once Kanaya made ginger tea when she heard Bramantyo complaining to Alita if she felt unwell. But when he found out that the tea was made by Kanaya, Bramantyo immediately spilled the tea onto the floor.

Kanaya who saw that said nothing. He simply cleaned up the tea spill with patience. Even after that, Kanaya continued to do good to Bramantyo.

Remembering all that makes Bramantyo tears again dripping down both cheeks. Alita, who had just entered her husband's ward, was shocked. Just this time he saw Bramantyo behaving like this.

"Alita, if only I could have accepted Kanaya as part of our family, it would have been good\-all right now." Bramantyo said sadly.

"Mas, what has happened in the past let it be a part of the past. The only thing we can do now is to shape the future. If you really\-feel guilty, then redeem everything through Hana, Mas..

"God, so good still gives us a second chance to fix everything. So now you have to rest, because tomorrow I'll take you to meet Hana. The doctor said tomorrow you can go home" explained Alita while holding Bramantyo's hand.
