Love for Hana

Love for Hana
CHAPTER 22

Hana had been awake from her sleep since five in the morning. That day, he meets Effendi. It turns out that last night Effendi forced to go home ahead of schedule so that the next day he could use to meet Hana.

Hana stared at her reflection in confidence. After more than an hour of choosing\-pick clothes he finally found the clothes he felt were suitable for him to use that day.

Understandably, this is the first time he will spend time with his father. That day Hana wore a knee-length jeans skirt that she combined with a three-quarter sleeve t-shirt and a pair of matching colored sneakers.

"Morning\-morning gini is already neat, Non," scolded Bi Siti when she saw Hana coming out of the room.

"For Bi... Today I want to go with Dad," Hana smiled. Bi Siti smiled at Hana's words. He was also happy to see Hana finally able to meet and get close to her father.

Hana devours toast with pineapple jam made by Bi Siti while checking her phone. Since last night Evan hasn't told her anything. He was a little worried because Evan was not usually like that. It is precisely Evan who will be upset if Hana does not reply to his message or does not give him news.

Hana tries to dampen her worries and tries to stay calm. His mind and heart must be in good and calm condition today because for the first time after nineteen years he will spend time with his father.

Shortly afterwards a knock was heard from the direction of the living room door. Bi Siti immediately walked towards the door and opened it. Effendi has arrived.

"Please come in, sir. Non Hana is still breakfast," said Bi Siti let Effendi enter. Effendi then stepped in following Bi Siti towards the dining room. There he saw Hannah eating her breakfast.

"It turns out that until now you still like toast with pineapple jam, Han," said Effendi as he rubbed his daughter's head.

Hana grinned and asked, "Dad has breakfast?"

Effendi replied with a nod. But he then took a glass on the table and poured orange juice into it. Then Effendi gave the glass containing the juice to Hana. Hana smiled again to see her father, it turns out Effendi still remembers things well he likes.

"Where are we going today, Dad?" ask only after finishing breakfast.

"Father want to go to one place, the rest you just decide dear," replied Effendi.

Hana gave a thumbs up to her father in agreement. He then cleaned the plate and glass that he had used at breakfast. Hana also tidied the dining table to get clean again. It then said goodbye to Bi Siti who was in the kitchen.

Seeing Hana do it all makes Effendi very amazed and proud of his daughter. The attitude he showed was incredible. Hana grows up to be independent and responsible and also has a high respect for older people.

Effendi's eyes slightly glazed\-glass when he remembered all this time Hana grew up just with Kanaya without her accompanying. Even so, Kanaya had managed to educate Hana very well.

...*****...

Hana sprinkles flowers on her mother's belly button which she and her father have cleaned. Effendi then put a bunch of Kanaya's favorite white roses that he bought at a florist while heading to his wife's grave.

Hana and Effendi both kneel beside Kanaya's tomb while praying in each other's hearts\-each. Hope the person they care about is calm there. Effendi gently rubbed Kanaya's tombstone and kissed her.

Hana looked sadly at her father. He could see the sadness that emanated from the eyes of his father who looked at his mother's grave. Maybe if her mother had never taught her about patience and forgiveness, Hana would still continue to hate and would not be willing to forgive her father's family.

Hana then hugged Effendi's arm and rested her head on her father's shoulder. Now he can share that same desire with others. He no longer needs to miss his mother alone because now his father is back with him.

Effendi then turned around and kissed the sweet potato of his favorite daughter. They can now strengthen each other. There was no longer a distance that could separate them except death.

After being satisfied to give up longing, they left the tomb of Kanaya. Now their goal will only be to spend time doing various things father and son that they have not done since they were separated first.

"So where are we after this?" ask Effendi before starting the car engine. Today he decided to comfort Dani. He just wanted to spend time with his daughter.

"I can ask for a snack, Dad?" ask Hana back. Effendi laughed at Hana's question. He recalled when Hana was a child who was very fond of snacks.

"Judah we go to the mall if so. You can snack as much as you want" Effendi replied as she pinched Hana's cheek.

Hana grimaced but after that she laughed. His heart was so happy to be able to spend time with his father again like it used to be.

They spent thirty-five minutes heading to a mall south of the city. Hana is quite often visited the mall, but not with this one mall.

Apparently Effendi took Hana to one of the malls that are quite luxurious. Many stores\-shops with various brands come from within the country to those from abroad.

"Dad, why not go to another mall anyway? I've never been here, father," said Hana hesitated\-doubt.

"It's precisely because I know you've never been here that's why I brought you here" Effendi laughed back. He had intended to spoil Hana today. It was delayed for nineteen years.

Effendi half pulled his daughter's hand to go with him to enter one by one the store in the mall. Effendi asks Hana to buy everything she wants, "Just Dad wants you today to buy whatever he wants."

"Emang Dad is not afraid later the money runs out I use to buy items\-goods I want?" asked Hana in a joking tone.

Effendi also replied to Hana's joke casually, "Dad is not afraid, because later pay using Opa Bram credit card."

"That's fine, Dad. We're ice cream snacks, yuk" Hana pulled her father's hand. Hana's face instantly turned into a bit of panic. How could he have just met his grandfather, but today he would actually shop using his grandfather's credit card.

Effendi laughed at the change in his daughter's expression. She did not expect Hana to take her seriously. "Dad joked Hana. Of course, Dad's money will not run out with you. After all, it is Dad's job to meet all your needs" Effendi smiled.
