Love for Hana

CHAPTER 20

Maya goes down the stairs of her house to the dining room for breakfast as usual. Apparently this morning he became the last to enter the dining room. When he arrived at the dining room, Alita, Bramantyo, Effendi and Melissa were eating breakfast.

"Tumben late down, usually you are the most *on time*, May," Effendi smiled. Maya was a little confused to see the attitude of the father. It was not that Effendi had never been friendly to her, but her attitude this time was different.

"But yesterday's trial ended, Pah. My energy was drained all over, I guess," replied Maya. Maya then looked around, it was not only Effendi whose attitude changed. But also Bramantyo and Alita.

They both look more familiar even a bit affectionate. Very different from their attitude towards each other. Alita always treated Bramantyo coldly and rarely rebuked.

Similarly, between Effendi and Bramantyo, which Maya saw long ago was Effendi who always tried to avoid Bramantyo, they almost never spoke more than five words. But this time, they actually talked\-conversation casually even occasionally they laughed a little together.

"There must be something going on" Maya's inner. Now his gaze was fixed on his mother who had noticed Maya who was confused to see the change in attitude of other family members.

Melissa simply smiled hinting that something good had happened. Maya nodded in understanding and started eating her breakfast. Honestly, he was happy to see their attitude change. They look more like family in general nowadays.

After finishing his breakfast, each\-each of them continued their respective activities. While Maya and Melissa who chose to read the magazine in the back of the house. The morning air is very cool to enjoy while relaxing in the garden.

"Well, what's the matter? How are Papa, Opa and Oma different?" ask Maya. He could no longer suppress his curiosity.

"Opa Bram with Oma Alita yesterday met with Papa Endi's biological son. From what Mama heard, Opa Bram came to her granddaughter to apologize," Melissa replied, staring at the magazine.

Now Maya understands the reason for the change in attitude of the three people. Apparently because of Hana. He felt that there was something in the girl that made her so special in the eyes of many people.

But suddenly there was a fear that appeared in Maya's heart. Honestly, he was afraid that if Hana had returned to the life of the Bramantyo family, he would have lost all the attention and kindness of the family.

As if she could read the fear of her daughter, Melissa tried to calm Maya down, "Honey, Mama knows you must be worried. But you have to remember, that Hana's place was here from the beginning with her family.

With Hana coming into our lives, we do not lose our attention and affection, but will increase. So Mama wants you not to think this is a bad thing huh? Mama's sure after this everything will be fine\-all."

"Yes, Mah." answered Maya.

Maya tries to calm herself down after hearing her mother's words. After several months of dating Hana, Maya is convinced that Hana will treat her well as a brother.

Maya then stared at the screen of her phone, time has shown at nine past thirty minutes. He also remembered that this afternoon he would go with Evan to attend their school reunion.

Time has shown twelve o'clock past forty minutes when a white SUV stopped in front of Maya's house. Maya rushes her suitcase bag down the steps of her porch after saying goodbye.

When the fence opened he saw Evan waiting with the trunk door of the car that was open. Maya then put her suitcase bag into Evan's car and immediately moved to enter the car. They cannot waste more time if they do not want to get caught up in heavy traffic towards their destination.

Their car drove too. For almost two hours only the singer's voice from the radio was heard. Understandably all this time they have never gone alone. I don't know why Maya took the initiative to invite Evan to go together and Evan agreed.

If only Maya was still determined to get Evan, of course, this was a good opportunity for her to approach Evan. But no, Maya doesn't want to take a chance behind Hana. Maya has promised herself she won't interfere with Evan and Hana's relationship.

She still loves Evan, but now Maya will wait for Evan himself who opens his heart to her without coercion and even then if he is not with Hana anymore. Maya does not want to be labeled as a lover of people let alone the lover of her own half-brother.

Maya believes that if fate had decided she would be with Evan, without him trying, she would be able to be with Evan.

"Oh yes, Van. Hana has met her father, same opa oma too. You know yet?" tanya Maya finally started the conversation.

"Hana hasn't said anything\-nothing to me," Evan replied briefly. Evan was so happy to hear what Maya just said. Hana finally met her father.

Evan knows that Hana misses her father a lot. Not in vain Hana persevered and was patient all this time. Slowly his life began to improve. She can't wait to meet Hana. He always likes to see Hana's happy face.

Discussions about Hana's meeting with her father and grandparents did not continue. With a makeshift Evan response, Maya changes the subject. Maya also realized it was not right to discuss about Hana's personal life, she was afraid Evan would misunderstand.

Maya also changed the topic by discussing memories during school first. This time Evan responded with more enthusiasm. Throughout the rest of the journey they spend by exchanging stories casually.

"May, I'm curious, what exactly makes you like me?" asked Evan hesitating\-doubt. Really Evan did not mean to ask another question like this to Maya, he just really\ really want to know what makes Maya really like him until long ago he even terrorized Hana to release him.

Maya's face turned a dead red. He doesn't know what to answer. Yang Maya knows she not only likes Evan, but she also loves Evan with all her heart.
