Hana tries to get up and get out of bed. He felt very bored and tired from constantly lying down for hours. Slowly he tried to move his legs. At first he felt a little dizzy, but he still forced his feet to step.
Hana should be able to recover soon and go home. He didn't want to trouble Evan and his family any longer. “Maybe after coming out of this room my feeling will be much better,” the bath in heart.
Hana stepped slowly while holding the pole where her infusion fluid was hanging. He can control his body and his steps. Hana continued to walk until she heard the same voice that she was familiar with.
That's Evan's voice. Hana also looked. He found Evan and his parents were sitting in a room not far from his nursery. Slowly he stepped back leaning behind the hospital corridor pole.
At that time he heard Liam tell all the things he really wanted to tell Evan this morning, before the accident happened. The thing that he had been covering up from Evan and he really wanted Evan to know it from his own mouth. But alas, fate was not on his side.
Hana still remained motionless where she stood, she listened to every word that came out of Liam's mouth. It was as if his heart wound had reopened in light of all that. Until Liam and Carissa went home, Hana could no longer hold back her tears. He cried silently because he did not want Evan to realize his presence there.
Hana immediately wanted to approach Evan, but her steps came to a halt when she heard what Evan muttered. “Gue should what..this feels like.heavy.” Hana pulled back her steps. This is what he feared to happen. He was afraid that Evan could not accept this complicated life.
Trying to stay strong, Hana leaves the hospital. No one was aware of his disappearance, at least that's what he believed. He did not know that someone was watching him from a distance.
With a gontai Hana step out of her nursery right before Evan enters the room. Hana still heard the faint voice of Evan screaming for her. He doesn't care about Evan frantically looking for him. Hana needs time to be alone right now.
Hana now blames herself. Why is he so bold and confident to believe that Evan will be able to accept his complicated family problems. Hana had pinned all her hopes on Evan, that one day Evan would help her get through this with him.
"Am I wrong because I really hope Evan will be able to accept everything, God," said Hana lirih.
Hana tries to walk as quickly as possible to leave the hospital so Evan does not find her. But unfortunately his steps came to a halt when suddenly a tremendous pain attacked his head. Hannah could not control her body. His eyes began to look blurry and his knees felt limp.
Hana had already nearly lost consciousness when someone caught her already weakly drooping body. Samar sees the face of the man who is currently holding her, but before Hana recognizes the face her consciousness is completely gone.
Fortunately, from then on, the man noticed every move of Hana's movements, so that he could quickly help Hana as soon as he saw a moment like this. The man then brought Hana's body into a white luxury sedan parked in front of the hospital area.
Someone was waiting in the car. A middle-aged man in semi-formal clothes was squeezing his cell phone. The low-fade haircut made him appear much younger than his age despite there having been some faint age lines on his face.
That man is Effendi. He waited for Dani, whom he ordered to see Hana in the hospital. But how surprised he was when he saw Dani open the car door with Hana in her cradle.
“What happened? Why are you carrying Hana?” effendi asked worried and panicked. Dani did not answer. He slowly laid Hana on Effendi's lap and immediately moved to the driver seat.
The car they were riding in immediately drove away from the hospital. Effendi did not stop asking what happened to Hana. He had not expected to meet Hana in such a situation.
“Dani, exactly what happened?” Effendi asked Dani again.
“When I was around Miss Hana's ward, I saw Miss Hana coming out of her ward. I followed Miss Hana all the way to the park,” replied Dani. After that, he began to tell me what he saw.
Until he saw Hana walking towards the main door of the hospital. Dani felt that Hana's condition had not fully recovered, so she immediately carried Hana's body and carried her into the car they were riding in.
Effendi's face looked sad when he saw that his only daughter could only lie weakly on his lap. He really missed Hana, but it wasn't this kind of meeting that he expected.
“Im sorry Daddy yes dear. You have to go through all this alone,” Effendi said as he gently rubbed Hana's head.
Effendi is forced to play the role fate gave him in order to provide a quiet life for Kanaya and Hana. Even when Kanaya came home, he could only watch the process of seizing his beloved wife from a distance.
Her heart was broken when she saw Hana crying over her mother's departure. He was there but could not hug his daughter. Effendi felt the same sadness but could not get through it with Hana.
Now they have arrived at their destination. Dani parked the car they were riding in right in front of Hana's fence. Bi Siti who was in the yard was surprised to see Effendi carrying Hana's body that was still unconscious.
“Bi, please open the door,” said Effendi pointing towards the door of the house that is still closed. Bi Siti quickly walked towards the door and opened it for Effendi.
After laying Hana on her bed, Effendi walked out of Hana's room. He continued walking until his steps stopped in front of a room whose door was tightly closed.
It was Kanaya's room. Effendi turned to look at Bi Siti who had been following him. “Bi, I can enter Mom's room?” effendi asked, trying to calm down. Since entering the house, Effendi had started to be unable to hold back his cries. He had always imagined going into this house with Kanaya waiting for him.
“Of course you can Sir,” replied Bi Siti smiling sadly. He knew his employer must miss his wife very much.
Effendi held onto the doorknob of the room with trembling hands. Slowly he stepped into the bedroom of his beloved wife. As soon as the door behind her closed, her tears spilled unbearably.
Effendi cried bitterly. Suddenly, a feeling of longing came pouring down on his chest. He should be here with Kanaya, but fate says something else. They were separated by a distance that he could not travel.
Effendi walked towards a closet in the corner of Kanaya's room. The cupboard was a little old until it let out a throbbing sound when the door was opened. Effendi then took a piece of Kanaya's clothes hoping that he could slightly inhale the scent of his wife's body.
But now his eyes were fixed on a medium-sized wooden box located behind the pile of his wife's clothes. Put back Kanaya's clothes and then she took the box.
It turned out that the box contained Kanaya's favorite items. Kanaya still keeps all the things that became her memories with Effendi. Even the identity bracelet when she gave birth to Hana was still kept as well.
But there was something else he did not recognize in the box. There are two white envelopes that look unused. He took the envelope and found her and Hana's names on each.
He kept the envelope that said Hana's name back in the box, should Hana herself read the contents first, Effendi thought. Then he opened an envelope addressed to her.
There was a piece of paper inside and a gold ring with a small diamond on it. It was the wedding ring Effendi gave Kanaya. Tears rolled down Effendi's cheeks. Effendi took a deep breath trying to regulate his mind and heart. He wanted to read Kanaya's writing calmly.
To my beloved husband,
How are you doing, Mas? I hope you're okay. Maybe when you read this letter, I'm not here anymore. Forgive me for not being able to keep my promise to wait for you until you return.
I miss you so much. I'm sure you miss me and Hana too. I know that sometimes you look at you from far away. I felt like I wanted to run around holding you back then, Mom. Thank you so much for taking care of me and Hana all this time. Thank you for all the work you do.
Can I ask you something now? Please be strong, will you? For Hana. Hana needs you so much. All this time I knew she was hiding her wound behind her sweet smile. Don't let our distance go to waste. You have to go home for Hana.
Fate doesn't seem to give me more time to be with you and Hana. Ii'm sorry. You have always been my first and last love, Effendi Bramantyo.
