CHAPTER 74 ~ Love That Doesn't Sia-Sia ~

Celine laughed hearing stories about their past. Devan retells those memories in a funny style. After being stunned to hear the words Devan he had said to Erica first. They both look awkward.

Those words were now like direct remarks aimed at Celine. Devan seemed to have just declared his love. Seeing the reaction of Celine who only averted her eyes, Devan was so downcast. Suddenly his eyes caught an object tucked in Celine's fingers. The man looked straight at Celine's face.

"You're married?" devan asked with a curious expression.

His eyes rolled around. There was no sign of a man there. Since then sitting talking with Celine there is no sign of the emergence of a man or at least Celine who wants to introduce her husband.

"Yes! I'm married" Celine replied with an awkward smile.

"Where is he? Is it working?" ask Devan.

"We're separated" said Celine slowly and bowed.

For some reason whenever Mikho remembered, his eyes would instantly tear up. The girl tried to laugh to shift her feelings, as if showing her was okay with Devan. However, the man was silent, not at all returning Celine's laughter. Devan knows, the girl has a sadness that she tries to cover up.

"Who do you live with in this house?" ask Devan.

"I lived alone, there was a house owner and his daughter. After they moved out, I stayed alone" Celine explained.

"Aren't you scared?" ask Devan.

"Yes, actually very scared. I didn't think it was so quiet, but it made me sleepless. I've never lived in a house alone before. But ... never mind! Maybe if you're used to it, it'll be fine" Celine explained.

"You want me to help you find a friend for you–"

"Oh yeah? Who?" ask Celine.

"Me" replied Devan.

Celine laughed, and Devan laughed again. Of course Devan's proposal wasn't real. Celine would not be willing to be accompanied by him. Only the two in the house can-can they in the residents grebek. They also talk back about the past. 

Meanwhile Mikho came to Celine's house and asked the girls' parents again. It was the third time Mikho had come to the house. The man was even reckless to enter Celine's room though it was not welcome. Ms. Dessery could only cry looking at her daughter-in-law who begged to be reunited with her wife.

"Ma! Pa! Help me! I want to meet Celine, I have to meet her Ma! I want to apologize to her, ", Mikho said with tears in his eyes.

Resign, begging the two old men after tired of shouting Celine's name to all corners of the house. Mikho searched every corner and called out as if talking to Celine who was hiding.

The man was really frustrated to find Celine who never showed up. Though it has called to every corner. Mikho sat on the floor. The two old men approached him sadly.

"Stand Son! Don't do this" said Dessery.

"I'm tired Ma! I've been looking for him everywhere. All her friends I know I've been calling but she didn't find them either. Help Ma! Tell me where is she Ma? I beg–"

"Mama doesn't know where she is" Dessery said.

"Mama lied! Mama can't possibly be this calm to see Mama's daughter gone. Mama must have hidden Celine. She's my wife Ma, I've married her. Papa gave Celine to me, Pa, she should be with me" Mikho said, according to Celine's father.

"She's really not in this house Mikho! Both parents are also anxious," said Erica finally could not bear to see Mikho who forced both parents Celine to tell him Celine's current position.

Mikho. With tears still flowing the man bowed. Erica's words that sounded snapping were like resuscitating him. The man turned his body about to leave. Hearing Erica's words, Mikho somehow became resigned.

"We're not hiding Celine, son. We ourselves also want to meet him. We can calm down like this because Celine called and said she's okay. We even hope you can find him or at least contact him. We're also worried, son, we know she's your wife, but Celine's still our daughter. We're also worried about our daughter, son," Dessery said.

But the thing he likes the most about this thing is that you have been storing and guarding it for a dozen years. We and our family thought it was you who kicked him out back then. All of us in this house went home. Om and Auntie, I don't really wonder what. He told me about this thing tonight. I don't know why he told me that. Then he left the next day. I thought maybe he wanted to bring this thing but he forgot. Mikho, if you find him, give him this. It's a symbol of your love, Celine says you've ruined it, you better fix it" Erica said.

Mikho received a clear box containing hair clips that had once been a sign of their engagement. Mikho slammed the clasp until his pearl sprinkled. The man stared at the box with the divorced hairpin.

"You're right. I ruined it, I had to fix it too. If I fix this whole thing, do you think Celine will come back to me?" ask Mikho.

"Sure, he loves you. Because love is gone, he chooses to go. He thinks you deserve better than him. At first I didn't understand why he thought that way.
