CHAPTER 39 ~ Regretted Decision ~

Staring into Mikho's teary eyes made Celine feel guilty. The girl felt that she had given her hope so that Mikho drifting in delusion could be happy together with her. Mikho even ignored Tiara's feelings. Evidently with his recklessness Mikho proposed to Celine. While Celine doesn't want to hurt her best friend, Tiara.

"drs. Mikho come back to the real world. The world where you've been engaged to a girl named Tiara," Yodi said, making everything in it flinch.

"Tiara? You're engaged to Tiara?" asked Dessery.

Mikho's getting cornered. The family has now learned that she is engaged and even knows who her fiance is. Tiara was not new to the Celine family. So familiar was Tiara with Celine's parents, the girl also called the two with the calls of Mama and Papa.

Of course, this was a surprise for both. How could it be, their daughter would be the destroyer of the engagement of Mikho and Tiara. Ms. Dessery even shook her head while covering her mouth with both hands. Then look at his downcast daughter.

"We thought .. you," Dessery could not continue.

Mother was very disappointed. In his heart Mikho would be loyal to Celine. When Celine introduces Yodi, the mother is happy because someone is sincere about protecting her daughter. However, his deepest little heart favors Mikho who has been shown to love his daughter sincerely.

Celine first introduced Yodi to her parents. They welcomed Yodi with open arms. They are happy to see their daughter has been hanging out with her college friends however, there is something that makes them doubt the relationship of Celine and Yodi.

"Thank you, Celine wants to be friends again. After a long time the child did not want to hang out and be alone," Dessery told her husband.

"Yes, but somehow, Papa doesn't like Yodi. There was nothing wrong with the boy. He was kind and affectionate to Celine, but I don't know" Yudhi said.

"Maybe it's because we're hoping for Mikho Pa. We know for ourselves how unfortunately Mikho is the same Celine. It felt like if they were together, Mikho would definitely make Celine happy. They also seem to love each other but somehow Celine just shy away from Mikho" replied Dessery as she laid herself in her husband's arms.

Mr. Yudhi, forced to follow the will of his daughter who wants to move abroad. Leaving the company that should have received more attention because it is growing rapidly. Mr. Yudhi was forced to hand over the reins of corporate leadership to one of the board of directors.

The planning director is finally willing to take over the decision-making temporarily as long as Pak Yudhi accompanies his wife and daughter to live abroad. Mr. Yudhi only receives reports every day. If needed, Mr. Yudhi occasionally flew back to Indonesia.

One day, Celine looks at her father who looks confused to make a decision for the company. Mr. Yudhi was eager to review the company but was constrained by him not being able to leave his son and wife. Celine asked her dad not to worry about her.

"It's okay, Papa controls the company from here on out, son," Yudhi replied as his daughter worried about her father's neglected work affairs.

"Papa should see firsthand what the state of the company is like. Celine will be fine here with Mama. If anything happens to the company, it will be a regret for Celine, Pa" explained Celine while looking at her mother who also looks worried.

"Papa's more afraid of anything happening to Papa's daughter, don't worry about the company!" yudhi smiled as he cupped his daughter's face.

Celine remained silent, unwilling to return her father's smile in the slightest. Seeing that, Mr. Yudhi turned to his wife. Ms. Dessery nodded, asking that her husband would follow their daughter's wishes.

Mr. Yudhi finally returned to Indonesia. While Ms. Dessery accompanied their daughter who continued her education there. Sometimes Pak Yudhi visited to see the situation of his son and wife. Celine felt sorry for seeing her father who had to live apart from her mother. Celine is desperate to return home.

However, Celine is unable to live a life with bad memories in her homeland, so one day she meets Yodi. Someone who would accompany her, treat her heart wounds, comfort and encourage her so that Celine finally had the courage to return to the homeland.

"Look at the consequences of your fiancee's actions" Yodi said as she showed video footage of the incident during the dinner.

It was Tiara who cursed and insulted Celine. Both of Celine's parents who saw the incident through video footage were unable to see Tiara's treatment of their daughter. Miss Dessery hugged her daughter. The mother cried, feeling sorry for her beloved daughter to have experienced such an incident. Mr. Yudhi looked at the bowed Mikho.

"Don't worry Pa, this video's already taken down. Once spread I immediately took decisive steps in dealing with its spread by cutting off access to this insult video. I think this is also what caused Celine the stress of the last few days–"

"I didn't spread that video footage–"

"Nobody's accusing you of taking or spreading this video, but ... This footage wouldn't exist if you could keep your fiancee's behavior a–"

"Sister Yodi, already Brother," said Celine could not see Mikho being cornered.

"Your regrets are pointless. You'd better start now taking care of your fiancee. Don't go near Celine again, she's already accepted my proposal. Soon we will be officially engaged" Yodi said with a sharp eye.

Miki and the others were shocked. Even Celine asked Yodi to finish her words. The girl could not see the look on Mikho's face that looked shaken. Celine knew, Mikho didn't want any of that to happen at all.

Hearing that the girl he loved was about to get engaged must have been very difficult for him. Celine couldn't tell him she had accepted Yodi's proposal. The hardest thing for him was stating that to Mikho. Now Yodi just announced it in front of Mikho as well as his parents.

All stunned, Mikho was hit, seeing that Celine could not afford to look at the sad look of the man. Soon Celine ran out of the living room and into her room. Celine couldn't bear Mikho hearing her decision, a decision that erased their hopes of being together.

Brother Yodi was wrong, not Tiara's humiliation, not the spread of the insult video that made me depressed, but your proposal. I'm sorry to accept your proposal. I can't afford to lose Mikho. I can't afford to lose her, Celine screamed.

The girl was crying in bed. His mind floated considering the sad look on the face of the man he loved. Celine couldn't imagine they would be separated forever. Because of his decision to accept Yodi's proposal which he had decided a few days ago.

After the incident at the restaurant, Celine looks moody. Both of his parents tried to cheer him up to no avail. Yodi comes and takes Celine to dinner together. Mr. Yudhi and Ms. Dessery allowed the man to take her away, hoping to cheer up Celine's grief a little.

However, while enjoying dinner, Celine faces a new reality. Tiara's insulting video to her has been spread. Several teenage boys and girls stared at him while whispering.

Seeing that Yodi directly asked them. They proudly showed the video footage still stored on their phones. Yodi stared at the video recording and downloaded it on his phone. Show Celine what their conversation is.

"I shouldn't go to this restaurant. It's worth the waiters momentarily glancing at you, apparently they recognize you," explains Yodi.

Celine stared at the impressions on Yodi's phone with teary eyes. Somehow the man brought her back to the scene which gave her bad memories. The girl who couldn't think it could only follow where Yodi was taking her.

Celine closed her eyes unable to look at the events that had passed. Sadness outweighs hurt, anger and hate. All because of Tiara, Celine wouldn't be that sad if the humiliation was thrown from someone else's mouth.

"We're out, baby! Why are we here for so long," asked Yodi.

Not half of them enjoyed their dinner. Yodi took her away. Celine resigned. Since yesterday, I have no appetite anymore.

"Don't worry about the video recording. I'll take care of it, if we need to ask who spread it," Yodi comforted Celine.

The girl froze, not even responding. Celine was so tired. Bully-an against her has re-started. Only a few months ago I decided to return to my homeland. Yodi is back to cheer Celine up. Comforting the girl in any way so she decides to propose to Celine.

"You know I love you. Since we are both abroad until we return to our homeland. I hope to continue our relationship to a more serious level. Celine, forget that guy who just played you. Marry me, we're having an engagement party soon, okay?" yodi asked in a whisper.

Celine closed her eyes, the girl's tears instantly gushed. The thing he feared appeared already. Yodi demands the seriousness of their relationship. 

Never asked her how Celine felt about her. Love, love or just gratitude. Yodi did not care, the only desire of the man just wanted to immediately have Celine.

With confidence, Yodi ensures that they will hold their engagement party in the near future. Celine panicked, even telling her parents she didn't dare. So many years with Yodi abroad makes Celine think her parents hope for Yodi.

Fear of disappointing his mother and father who already know their closeness. Celine finally decides to accept Yodi's proposal. Now the girl was sorry, crying in fear.

Imagine the days he had to spend with someone he didn't love. Remember the cutter stored in the nightstand drawer next to his bed. It became his hope to end his life.

The knife brought Mikho before him. Because Ms. Dessery panicked to see the knife that had been blown out of her hand. Because the knife was also finally Mikho heard their engagement decision.

Celine felt the world was getting away from her. Like the distance between her and Mikho after getting engaged later. Celine went back to looking, where the knife was.
