CHAPTER 45 ~ Cheating ~

Ms. Dessery asked for the engagement to be held. Celine's mother asked Mikho to continue. The man was at a loss for words, between believing and not with the mother's words. Mikho also did not want to misunderstand.

Teon even helped remind Mikho. Surely the man stated that he wanted to be engaged to Celine even though he could only whisper to the former Sispala. Teon asks Mikho to answer Bu Dessery's request.

Mikho looked at Bu Dessery and then turned to Celine. The girl looked at him full of question marks. Mikho looked at the girl as if he could not believe that he had the chance. But Celine thought otherwise, the man looked confused, like hesitating to get engaged to her.

Mikho is difficult to answer Mama's request. Maybe she really doesn't want to get engaged to me, Celine's inner self.

"Ma, don't be forced! Mikho won't be engaged to me. This event is disbanded," said Celine and stood up from the guest chair.

Mikho immediately stood up and grabbed Celine's hand. The girl looked at her hand that Mikho was holding. The man stepped before Celine and cupped the girl's face.

"Who wouldn't want to get engaged to you. Marry you right now, I want to" Mikho said.

"Why is it so hard to answer? Nope! I don't want anyone to be forced! No engagement, cancel!" celine brushed aside Mikho's hand that was holding her arm.

"Celine, it's not like I'm having a hard time answering. No one has to. I just can't believe I suddenly got this chance. After all, I had nothing to prepare. I also don't have a ring for you–"

"Mik, put this on," Tiara said as she took off the ring on her finger after hearing Mikho and Celine's talk.

The girl did not expect, that Mikho gave up the opportunity to immediately make Celine his fiancee just because of lack of preparation. Tiara also felt that the ring was meaningless on her ring finger. Soon the girl handed it to Mikho.

"Don't Ra, who's been given, don't give it back" Celine replied.

"But this engagement ring means nothing more, Cel. It can be used for your engagement" Tiara said.

Celine kept shaking her head. Seeing Celine who objected to accepting that, Mikho promised to go buy the ring right now. However, Celine held the man's hand. The girl took out a hairpin that Mikho had just handed to her.

"Here! This is the symbol of our engagement" said Celine.

Everyone was stunned by Celine's choice. Even Ms. Dessery who had wanted to lend her the ring was dumbfounded. Celine chose something unusual as a sign of their engagement.

"This means a lot to me, this is my Oma gift that's gone. No one can find anything like this because it's Omaku's gift. For me this means more than a wedding ring that can be bought at the store" Celine said.

Ms. Dessery smiled, the mother remembered very well that Celine was very close to her grandmother. The clasp was bought by his grandmother as a gift when his grandmother vacationed in Thailand. Celine was so happy to get the hairpin gift that she always put it in her hair.

A regret for him when he hesitated wearing that clasp because it was a sports subject that day. He could have removed his favorite clasp in the sport but because of his love for the clasp, little Celine kept it in her hair. At last the feared thing happened, that day was the saddest day for him.

Ms. Dessery was unaware that Celine's crying was not only due to the loss of her hairpin but also because of the insulting call Mikho made to her.

"really? Just this enough?" ask Mikho.

Celine nodded, Tiara stopped returning her engagement ring to Mikho that had been canceled. Teon who wanted to lend her a suit but also urgently because it had torn part of her arm. Mr. Yudhi came to give up the suit he wore to wear Mikho.

"A doctor doesn't need a suit like a businessman. You can buy it, but there is no time. Look at the guests have started to come again" Yudhi explained as he looked at the guests who began to arrive.

Apparently the guests didn't come home, they were just afraid of a fight. When a guest declares the engagement will continue. Other guests began to re-enter the hotel's ballroom.

"I'm telling Papa and your Mama, huh?" tiara asked Mikho.

Mikho nodded as well. Tiara who had indeed gotten to know both of Mikho's parents had finally invited them to come. At first they objected because suddenly and upset because Mikho who did not ask permission to get engaged first. However, after being explained by Tiara with a patient heart finally both of Mikho's parents were willing to attend.

The invitations came back one by one. After waiting and seeing the situation and hearing that the engagement would continue they re-entered the ballroom. Most of them were shocked because the couple who were about to get engaged had changed. However, a little bit they had understood as following some of the events earlier.

The guests were mostly acquaintances of the Yudhi family. In addition to the people from the company who are also acquaintances who become invitations of the Yodi family. Only a small part of the invitation was not recognized by the family of Celine's parents.

While waiting for Mikho's parents to arrive, Mr. Yudhi greeted the guests and apologized for the inconvenience of the engagement. They listened very seriously to the explanation of the top leadership of the company. Even so, Mr. Yudhi did not demonize Yodi and his parents.

"Oh yeah? Why?" ask Yudhi wonder.

The directors sitting around the round table were simultaneously bowed. Mr. Yudhi felt they were hiding something. Mr. Yudhi really hoped that one of them would explain the meaning of the remark.

"Sir Cipto, he …."

"What happened to Mr. Cipto?" asked Yudhi more curious about his iron candidate who did not become it.

"We don't mean to encourage, but we think it's the truth. Don't be afraid sir, just tell me the truth" explained the other directors.

"Yes right, Mr. Yudhi should know the truth" continued the other directors. After Pak Yudhi turned to the board of directors, finally the father who started it finally wanted to explain.

"Pak Cipto seems to be obsessed with the position of Dirut. He seemed to have forgotten his true position. Not willing to listen to the constraints of other directors. Just running according to his wishes. In fact, his own duties are neglected," explained the director earlier.

"That was the result of Pak–'s Cipto"

"What?" ask Yudhi in shock.

"At first we were just guessing. Our fraud team is committed to conducting a tacit audit. Currently they are collecting evidence of abuses committed by Mr. Cipto. We are lucky that the company can be saved thanks to the struggle of Mr. Yudhi but .. the actions of Mr. Cipto can not be allowed. He must be responsible for every decision he makes" the board said.
