Everyone must have been astonished to hear the words of Alvaro, even with Azlina. The woman did not expect that her husband was still expecting her eldest brother. Rumors of Salwa and Alvaro's relationship in the past made Azlina's heart more slashed. Did the man marry her because she was the younger sister of Salwa so there was a shadow of Salwa in her?
However, the question that shackled Azlina's mind was sidetracked after a fist pointed at Alvaro's face. Sean seemed to have been impatient to hear Alvaro ask him to divorce Salwa. The man seemed to want to face his death.
Mama Rani screams hysterically at the sight of her son being beaten in front of her own eyes, while Papa Agus, Ahsan, and Alfatih hold Sean back from losing control.
They clenched the man whose body felt full of strong burly muscles and could definitely crush Alvaro's bones if the two of them were to really fight.
Unfortunately, Salwa did not participate in their journey so that no one could muffle the Canadian man's misfortune. His blue eyes were pierced sharply at Alvaro who had staggered with blood dripping on his lips and nose.
Alvaro rubbed the fresh blood with a slight hissing feeling of pain. His hand still had not let go of Azlina's fingers, as if it had given her strength and courage against Sean Paderson.
The man smiled cynically, a small laugh later which left everyone confused about his behavior.
"Why? You can't afford to divorce Salwa, huh?! Then, why did you tell me to divorce Azlina." He raised the hand of Azlina he had been holding since, showing everyone.
"No one can take it from me. Because he and I love each other. You guys hear that? We love each other. What right do you have to force a couple to separate, huh? What?!" Alvaro shouted out loudly, challenging everyone's anger towards him.
Their breaths dominated the silence in the room. Azlina is powerless not to cry to see the condition of Alvaro who has been battered because it shows his love to everyone. There was a sense of haru and happiness in Azlina's heart because she felt loved that deep.
Until Alvaro turned to Azlina, staring at the glittering round bead that had since unceasingly passed a clear liquid at the corner of the eye. His thumb rubbed alternately the tears of Azlina that had flowed down his cheeks, then published a sincere smile to the woman.
"Don't cry! I don't want you to cry anymore because of me. I'll accompany you to the hospital." Without seeing everyone, Alvaro invites Azlina into a room to pack their belongings.
Everyone could only be speechless, unable to say a word seeing Azlina and Alvaro walking around with their clothes to get out of the house.
"We're talking very well there. The important thing is Azlina's been found." Ahsan tried to remind Sean, dampening the man's anger which had been pierced by Alvaro's words.
Sean sighed violently, releasing the hand checks of everyone on his body. "Surge!"
Azlina was pensive in the car, silence enveloped the atmosphere. Alvaro was only focused on the streets that would bring them back home.
"Don't worry! Everything's gonna be okay."
Alvaro finally made a sound when he realized his wife was just staring blankly at the street. His hand grabbed Azlina's fingers, grasping them gently while smiling with calmness.
Alvaro's mature attitude radiated in this kind of situation. There was no panic or unnecessary anxiety that made Azlina more calm to face a problem.
"Sister, what shall I say to you? Did Mama tell my parents that I cheated? Sis, I'm scared."
"Sleep! Calm your mind! You must be really tired, right?" Alvaro's hand rubbed Azlina's head. "I will explain to everyone. I'm the guilty one here. It was all my idea, so I'll take responsibility for the matter. Don't worry anymore, will you?"
Azlina nodded obediently, her mind so exhausted after the many things that had happened without pause in her life. He began to close his eyes after Alvaro thrust a sleeping pillow at him. Now, that face looked peaceful with clenched eyes resting the mind that was shackling the soul.
"I promise I'll finish it all. We will be happy together" said Alvaro, rubbing Azlina's cheeks gently.
...***...
The VVIP treatment room has been entered by several people by sitting on couches and chairs made of plastic. Their eyes were fixed on one person who was now conscious and could lean his body in a slightly sitting position.
Azlina and Alvaro sat side by side, while Ms. Darmini sat in a plastic chair right next to the patient's bed. Mr. Samsul had come to his senses with the infusion needle still attached to his hand as well as a low-pressure oxygen hose attached to his nose. He stared fixedly at the two people in front of him, one was his youngest daughter and one was his queen.
The two people lowered their heads, as if they were ready for the long lecture they were about to get. Seeing the tension that exists, it can be estimated if Mr. Samsul is really angry with both.
