Little Bride Alvaro

Little Bride Alvaro
44. Sleeping Medicine Alvaro

Azlina's room wasn't as big as Alvaro's. The size of the bed can actually only be occupied by one person only because it is too narrow with a mattress size of 120 x 200 cm. The girl slept while hugging the mother who was patting her back.

"Your mother, how can you get married?" Azlina started to open the chat.

"We're set up."

"really? How's it feel? Would it not be nice to marry someone we do not know?"

Ms. Darmini rubbed Azlina's hair, tucked the children behind the ears. "Not really. The beginning was strange, but everything changed over time. Father and Mother can finally be happy by complementing each other."

"Does Mom love you?"

"of course. If there is no love, there may be you. Until there's four more." Seen old strokes in the corner of Bu Darmini's eyes when laughing answer the question of the youngest child.

"Did Mom ever think of getting divorced when she married you?"

"Hush! I can't talk about divorce. Not good." Ms. Darmini didn't seem to like Azlina's question. He breathed then. "Divorce is permissible, but God hates it. Marriage is not a game that can be easily broken up. There is a obligatory two-party effort to maintain that sacred bond."

"Although there is no love in marriage?" ask Azlina again.

"Even though there is no love. Believe me, love is God who gives. If both parties are committed to each other, love can present itself by respecting each other and appreciating the kindness of the couple, closing your eyes to the other beauties out there and just staring at the beauty of the couple. Especially after marriage, there are no limits anymore, right? Can do anything to a partner without fear of the name of sin, because it is halal."

Azlina was still confused to hear the words of Bu Darmini. Already halal? Can do anything? Does that include undressing and looking at the entire body of the couple? Azlina immediately shook her head when she thought of that.

"When Ibuk was betrothed, did I immediately accept the match?"

"Of course, Ibuk refused. But Grandma's next words made Mother realize that it was all actually outlined by God to us."

"I mean Ibuk?" Azlina seemed enthusiastic about the mother's explanation.

"Grandmother said that the Prophet Muhammad never chose his own soul mate. Umm Khadijah, a widow, proposed to the virgin Prophet Muhammad. In fact, Sayidah Aisha was also betrothed to the Prophet Muhammad by his father Syayyidina Abu Bakr. If Rosullullah only chosen by others, then what right do we choose our own soul mate? For indeed, the birth, the soul mate, and the death have been established by Allah by the record of the law of Mahfudz. "

"Including Azlina and Brother Alvaro?"

"Yes, including you and Alvaro. One can say that their partner is because of their efforts to find their own acquaintances and partners. However, if God says it is not a soul mate, no matter how hard they try to unite, then God will make it difficult. So, rest assured if our soul mate today is the best chosen by God to accompany us to old age."

Azlina nodded, trying to digest the sentence after sentence that Bu Darmini told her. The explanation from the mother made him a little calm. But he was confused as to how. The agreement that he and Alvaro had done made him think, is the marriage and soul mate intended by the mother the same as the marriage he is currently living?

...***...

Alvaro laid his body on the big bed. He had grown accustomed to being in the room, but somehow the bed he used to sleep in now felt too spacious and unpleasant. He rolled to the right and left looking for the most comfortable position, but still could not close his eyes.

How could?

What the hell happened to him?

Alvaro rolled on the left side where Azlina used to sleep there. He sleeps on his stomach by resting his face on a pillow. The natural scent of Azlina's body was still left there, making Alvaro even more unable to close his eyes.

Alvaro hugged the bolster beside him, trying to close his eyes by tightly hugging the bolster. However, free. He was still unable to enter the dreamland. Again and again he tried to keep him awake, as if drowsiness did not want to come.

Even though all day after watching together, Alvaro still drove Almeera shopping. The woman wanted to accompany her to watch a horror movie after she received an offer from Alvaro to buy a pair of branded shoes. It should be a whole day spent with Almeera making her heart happy, right?

Alvaro should be able to sleep well tonight because the happiness surrounding his heart has spent time with his beloved, welcoming the dreams that will be present accompany his deep sleep.

Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Alvaro feels uneasy and uncomfortable after Azlina is not at his side. Strange, very strange, as if something was missing when his hand felt on the left side of the bed did not find the girl.

Until a short message entered his phone made Alvaro immediately reach for the thin object that he put on the nightstand. Her faint face turned glowing after getting that short message. It was a short message from her mother-in-law telling her to come there because there was something she wanted to say. Without changing his pajamas, the man immediately went down the bed, put on a black jacket, then stepped out to immediately go to his in-laws' house.

...***...

"He's sleeping in his room." Ms. Darmini explained after putting warm tea on the table right in front of Alvaro.

The man nodded while looking down deeply. Somehow Alvaro felt there would be a long lecture this time around.

Ms. Darmini was seen sitting next to Mr. Samsul in a calm manner, but was full of requests for explanation from the look in her eyes.

"Do you have any problems?" Mr. Samsul began to ask after the silence a moment ago had been created.

Alvaro shook his head, "Nothing, sir. Everything's fine."

"You sure?" Mr. Samsul seemed to take a long breath. He slightly massaged his temple lightly. "It's not that you don't allow Azlina to sleep in this house, but it's not good if the newlyweds even sleep separately by going home to their parents."

Alvaro nodded without answering. It is true what the Father-in-law said. It was not good for the newlyweds to sleep apart, the proof was that he was unable to close his eyes because Azlina did not sleep by his side.

"He slept in the upper room. If you want to see it," said Ms. Darmini then who responded with the face of Alvaro sumringah. The man immediately nodded, then withdrew.

"I saw Azlina first, sir, Buk."

Not wanting to waste any time, the man half ran as he climbed the stairs towards the second floor. It is not difficult to find Azlina's room, because only the room has a flower display with the name of the owner.

Slowly Alvaro opened the door to the room and found the wife asleep with her body curled up under the covers. He stepped deeper and came to a halt on the left side of Azlina's bed. His gaze did not shift one bit from that deep face.

Once again he agreed to his in-laws saying that it is not good for a newlywed couple to sleep apart. The proof is now, after the disturbing feeling that has since been whack turned into calm and comfortable.

Alvaro did not deny it because when he saw the face of his little wife was lulled in sleep, making his heart more calm and serene. Whether it's some kind of inner bond that suddenly exists between a couple or it's basically a sense of comfort that begins to grow between the two, Alvaro doesn't understand why.

He began to climb up the bed, lying on his side facing Azlina. He carried the girl's head in his arms, then hugged the tiny body tightly, as if he had not met for a long time because of a winding obstacle.

Azlina frowned for a moment, feeling her sleep was disturbed. However, a second later her lips smiled knotfully with eyes still tightly clenched, as if the dream came back to pick her up with beautiful things before her eyes.

For a moment Alvaro looked back at Azlina's peaceful face, peeking at the girl's forehead slowly. And now he realized, that his sleeping pills had been found, because at this time Alvaro began to want to close his eyes, because drowsiness suddenly came attacking. The fine snoring that came out of Azlina's lips felt like a lullaby, until the drowsiness was transmitted to Alvaro. The man finally fell asleep while hugging the wife's body tightly, not letting the body move away from his arms.
