126. Guilt

Mama Rani cried as she pleased, putting her face on the back of Alvaro's hand. He regretted being selfish for being too proud to apologize to Azlina's family for the misunderstanding.

Her tears broke when she recalled the incident this morning where she found out that Alvaro had fainted in her room.

As usual, Mama Rani persuades Alvaro every morning to have breakfast. The man no longer locked the room, so Mama Rani could easily enter his room.

The middle-aged woman placed the breakfast menu on a table located on the side of the room. His gaze turned towards Alvaro who was still sleeping with his back. The man's hand hugged his Smartphone in the face down position.

Mama Rani looked astonished, her forehead wrinkled at the unusual sight. Although Alvaro is on hunger strike, but the man is always awake if the breakfast hour takes place.

His steps were quite calm not too rushed when approaching Alvaro's bed and only stopped once his feet were right on the side of the bed.

His body bent down, about to wake his only son, but what he saw was quite shocking. Alvaro's face looked so pale, his lips were dry and bluish. Mama Rani shook Alvaro's body, but the man remained unmoved from his position. Until fear enveloped the woman, she immediately shouted for help.

"Pa, Papa! Tolooong ...!"

Mama Rani's voice was heard from below, where Papa Agus was sipping his coffee. The man with partially whitened hair immediately put down the coffee cup that had been reduced in half, then immediately ran up the stairs to meet his wife.

"What's up, Ma? What's going on?"

The question sounded hanging, because seeing the wife just crying by hugging Alvaro's body.

Alvaro's eyes were opened using his thumb and index finger, as if he were a professional doctor. Then, he placed his palm on Alvaro's forehead.

"Ma, Papa find help first. We're taking Alvaro to the doctor." After saying that, Papa Agus immediately left Mama Rani beside Alvaro. The man rushed to seek help to bring Alvaro down from his room to be rushed to the hospital.

Mama Rani is still crying beside her son's body. His gaze unintentionally stared at the flashing phone screen due to the notification of battery power that was almost thinning. The smartphone is expected to be charged, just in case Alvaro woke up, the man usually looks for his phone.

However, once ascertaining how much power is still left in the smartphone, Mama Rani was presented with photos that made her heart cry bitterly.

It was a photo of Alvaro with Azlina attending a school graduation. They seemed to be compatible with their smiles filled with happiness.

Azlina looks beautiful with a modern nude blue dress that is in harmony with Alvaro's shirt. His thumb shifted the smartphone screen, there are many photos of the two of them with various poses and face mimic. How happy the couple was, without burden and without tears.

Was he guilty, making his son suffer like this? Is it true that Azlina is a woman who can make her child happy? Is he wrong to give his son a better mate?
