There Alvaro was still sitting leaning in front of the bathroom door, waiting for Azlina who was heard pouring water on her body. The cry had subsided replaced by the gurgling sound of water that now filled Alvaro's hearing senses. He seemed to breathe a sigh of relief, at least the wife was no longer crying.
Until when the bathroom door opened, Alvaro who was leaning there almost toppled to the back. He looked up, found Azlina coming out with wet hair, puffy eyes while wearing a bathrobe wrapped around her body.
Their gazes met each other even though Alvaro's position was still half asleep on the floor. The man hurriedly straightened his body, then stood giving Azlina a way to get out of the bathroom.
Silent. No more reprimands. There is only real silence.
Ignoring Alvaro, Azlina stepped towards the wardrobe, picking up the sleeping clothes for her to wear.
Alvaro's gaze still did not move from the girl. His heart wanted to hug the body, but he realized that it was only making things worse. Until the man chose to let Azlina calm down, not bothering her until the right time to talk again.

Silence is inevitable, discomfort envelops both when the body is on the same bed, the same blanket, but the heart is in a different place.
Alvaro glanced at Azlina's sleeping back behind him. He realized that not only himself could not sleep, but Azlina was also seen from the girl's stiffened body. The man looked at the ceiling of the room, thinking about what was happening. It turned out that being ignored by the girl beside him was making him uncomfortable.
Alvaro felt something was missing. Joy, peace, and comfort have all vanished after the silence between them. He can't keep going like that, it all feels wrong. Until the man decides to make peace with the situation.
"I'm sorry, I hurt your feelings. I didn't realize my behavior was hurting you. And now I want you to be honest with me." The man tilted his body towards Azlina who was still in her back position. "Do you really want to end this marriage?"
Azlina was silent, not dodging or nodding. He was also confused about his decision. On the other hand he is comfortable with Alvaro, but Azlina is aware that the man's heart is not for her. So, what's all that forced for?
"I've decided .. to end it all. Wasn't this our plan from the beginning. Oh, naw. Not our plan, but only your plan. And I agreed to it without thinking." Azlina seemed to let out a long sigh after saying it, then continued her sentence. "You know, there's one thing I regret about this marriage."
"What?"
"The words that God has witnessed and guaranteed make me so respectful of him. I involve feelings in relationships that you consider a game. I trust you as my guard and protector, but I realize it's just madness."
"You love me?"
"I don't know. And it doesn't seem to matter anymore." Azlina closed her eyes later. He felt that there was nothing more to talk about because every word he would say would add to the wound in his heart.
