In the car, not a word was said from Azlina's lips. The girl was just silent as she stared to the side where tall buildings with lush trees adorned the city streets. Even so with Alvaro, the man was only focused on the streets without the intention of starting a conversation. Only the sound of music played with several times the radio speaker spoke to make the atmosphere in the car was not too quiet because of their silence.
Until when the car had stopped at the city park, Alvaro parked it in a special car park. Actually, the afternoon walk in the city park is quite pleasant if accompanied by a loved one, but unfortunately not the beloved who is now with him, but a hateful and indifferent girl just looking at him.
"When are you there? Comeon, down!" alvaro said after he finished removing his seal belt.
Azlina was silent, not answering Alvaro's words. Silently, he got out of the car without thinking for a long time.
Azlina followed where Alvaro had gone, trailing behind Alvaro without a sound. His gaze lowered down while thinking about what he was going to say to the man.
Until accidentally his head hit the back of Alvaro when the man without cue stopped his steps.
"Ohh!" he complains by touching the forehead covered with bangs.
Alvaro just smiled looking at the naive girl. He grabbed Azlina's hand, then pulled her to immediately find a comfortable seat.
The atmosphere at that time was quite quiet, maybe because today is not Sunday, so it makes the atmosphere of the city park not crowded visitors.
Alvaro leaned on the back of the iron chair with Azlina sitting slightly away from him. Rishih, that is what the girl currently feels when she is close to Alvaro. Azlina was still unmoved with her head lowered, her mind still sorting out the right sentences to convey to Alvaro.
Just as Azlina was about to say something, Alvaro made a sound.
"Of!"
"Nuts!"
They looked at each other, but Azlina immediately looked away.
"You first!" alvaro has given up.
Azlina nodded. He could not bear to say everything that stuck in his heart.
He breathed in a long air, preparing himself to simply anticipate emotions in case there might be a heated debate with the adult man beside him. When she was ready, Azlina exhaled slowly.
"Why did you lie?"
He lowered his face, his eyes blurring as if it was difficult to stem the clear water that had begun to seep in the corner of the eye.
"Why is he lying? Why didn't you keep your promise?" Azlina hooked her fingers, nervous to hit herself along with the disappointment that had been stirred in the heart. "Om said he would sleep separately with me, but why did Om sleep .. bed with me?"
Azlina still did not want to accept the fact that she had slept in bed with an adult man. He could not accept the dirty things that had happened before, sleeping in a position of hugging each other, providing warmth to each other. Azlina felt dirty for a moment.
"I'm sorry." Alvaro was silent for a moment. His eyes circled in the classroom where the little ones seemed excited about playing catch up with each other. They laughed carelessly, making Alvaro's lips smile even for a moment. "You know I was sleeping on the floor at the time. I don't know what happened after, why I could be in bed with you. One thing I'm sure of, we didn't do anything that night. You don't have to worry about anything. We just sleep on the same bed, nothing more."
"Then, why would Om tell them that we love each other?" Azlina was getting annoyed when she said that. Love a man who is twelve years older than him? Is Azlina crazy?
"I was just arguing with them. You know if we're in a position that can't be evaded? Who can believe if we just sleep and do nothing that night? Maybe you even thought badly of me yourself. Aye, right?"
Alvaro looked at Azlina who was still lowered with her face bent inward. The man touched Azlina's shoulder, slightly squeezing her made Azlina turn to him. "Listen to me! We do not get married because we want to build a home. We are only covering up the disgrace that never really happened. I wouldn't touch you if you didn't want to. And if things get better, we can split up."
"W-what? Does that mean I will be a widow at a young age?"
"You don't have to worry about that. We are only married religiously. You're not even nineteen yet, are you? We can only marry religiously. You don't have to be afraid of that identity."
The girl seemed to wipe her nearly dripping tears, then said enthusiastically.
"So, can I still be close to other guys? I can date, can't I?"
"Heem, you can do it as long as there are no handrails, kisses, and other physical contact" Alvaro replied with a smile.
"Why?"
"Because of sins. You're still my wife, aren't you? If the man you like wants to marry you, you can file for divorce with me. And as long as we're alone, I'll take responsibility for you."
"So?"
"We're keeping this marriage a secret. That way, I can go after the woman I like and you can get the man you want. Isn't that so much fun?"
Azlina looked at Alvaro who was still smiling. Raising next to his eyebrows, he said, "Is it really fun? What if our parents know?"
"We play pretty so we don't get caught. Never mind, trust me. Oh, yeah, from now on stop calling me Om. I'm the same age as your Sister Salwamu, why can you call her Ma'am, while with me, you call Om. That's not fair at all." Alvaro clasped his chest as he spoke. It was obvious that he did not accept it, as if his age was really old.
"Lantas, what should I call Om? Did Father?"
"Hey!" Alvaro interrupted Azlina's words. What the fuck is he called Father, indeed since when did he marry his mother Azlina? "Call Brother, that's better. Understood?"
Azlina pouted her lips for a moment, seeming to think. After that, he laughed. "Ah, Om, that's too young. Accept reality only when you're old."
"You're getting a lot more annoying, aren't you?"
"Alright, I agree, emmm ..., Brother." Little giggled Azlina when calling Alvaro as Big Brother, feeling funny with the call.
"Ish, don't laugh!" alvaro said irritatedly, grabbing Azlina's head and then silencing the girl's lips with his palm.
Azlina immediately pushed Alvaro, when she felt her head flanked by the man's hand. "Oh, Om. Not mode, huh? Don't take the chance!"
"Om, again?"
"Oops, I mean, Brother."
Alvaro only shook his head seeing Azlina unable to stop his laughter. What's wrong with being called a brother? Doesn't he deserve to be called big brother? Until the sound of a merchant's trumpet bell distracts Azlina. The girl reached out her hand pulling Alvaro's clothes.
"Om, as a gift of the inauguration of our relationship. I want to buy it a lick."
"Eh, what? Yaw?"
"Yes, that." Appoint the sellers of the cilok which is outside the park. "Let's celebrate by eating pegs" he added excitedly.
Alvaro let out a slow sigh, then nodded in trembles. "Come, who's afraid!" he said while pulling Azlina's hand to immediately move to pursue the gripper.
