It's like saying "I Miss You"

It's like saying "I Miss You"
Re-meeting

The sky was too beautiful to pass up. Reddish orange glow with air that is getting warmer. A wind blew across every strand of hair that decomposed over his shoulders. Rows of middle birds are racing to get to their homes. Nada should also be running to the house.

The maroon jacket he was wearing could not absorb the cold that had penetrated into the ribs. Tone remember this jacket. Suddenly he gave it when it was not a special day or anything. At that time Nada's body was still too thin to wear this jacket.

Not that he still remembered it, just could not bear to throw things just like that. If they could talk, maybe they would scream even to the point of crying when they were about to be thrown out. It was just a hallucination !!

The ball field remains the same as it was 5 years ago. Nada once cycled with him around that field. Yes, it was just when dusk was still half as visible as it is today. The coolness of the wind is felt every time it stretches the arms. They both laughed as if there was never a burden in their hearts. The two shouted as if there would always be a tomorrow for them.

Phone Tone ringing. One name that made him smile. He immediately picked up the phone. “Where are you? is it done?”

“I'll be there in 15 minutes. You don't stay away from the store, huh?” said Dewanto with spoiled. Very rarely is he like this.

“I was walking into the field. You should come too. The wind here is very cold. You must like.” said Nada while rubbing the fur of a stray cat that suddenly came to him. “Oh yes, how did you know that I intended to make the house a bookstore as well as a cafe?”

Dewanto just laughed. “Of course I know. I'll be there soon. Looks like you are happy there.” said Dewanto while driving his car. Still focused on the road conditions.

“Sure. I finally opened my own bookstore. But I didn't think you'd get any land around here. Thank you, dear.”

“You've dared to indulge with me huh?” Ask Dewanto while teasing Nada on the phone. “By pleasure. As long as my future wife is happy, that's more than enough for me. I'll hang up. You're fine there.”

Phone connection disconnected. Building a bookstore is Nada's dream since resigning from his previous job. Of course before working in the company almunium. He tried hard to raise capital to build his dream bookstore. Didn't expect to get land around a place full of memories with him.

Tone enjoying every gust of wind approaching. Letting her hair be gently swept away by the afternoon breeze. The screams of the children still running in the field were heard in the ears. How can they so enjoy every pleasure that exists without burden? …..da….

Why is Nada hearing her name called? Shouldn't it be another 15 minutes as he said on the phone? Why did it get this fast? He hasn't even returned to the store. Did he look for her in the field?

“…..Tone...?”

It's not hallucinating. Someone is calling. But this is not his voice. Nada had heard this voice. But where? This voice was not foreign to him. Like a familiar voice in the back. Yeah.he's standing in the back. Tone felt. That's not him. Then who?

Slowly Tone moved his body backwards. Hope it's not the bad guys who come. May it not be a stranger who wants to kidnap and kill him. I think he's been reading too many books about detectives.

The body of the tone was already fully facing backwards. His tongue feels like a mute. His brain stopped thinking for a moment. His heart rested from the activity of pumping air. Suddenly it feels crowded. His eyes began to glaze over not believing what he had seen.

“How are you doing? Long time no see.” said someone behind Nada with a gentle smile that always made him feel lost air around.

“Prime..?” Nada had mentioned that name unconsciously. Empty views. I don't know what he's thinking right now. Could it be that he is still hallucinating?

“I miss you, Nada.”

Tone shook his head in disbelief. Not hallucinations. He really saw the figure of Pandu in front of him. It has changed a little since the last time I saw him. Nada wasn't even sure if she still remembered her face. Both of his palms covered his lips. Trying to control his shock.

Eye Tone glazed. A strange feeling enveloped him. Happy mixed with sad. The longing that began to rebel out. Is that feeling still deep down in his heart? Although there is now Dewanto in his heart, is it possible that Pandu is still hiding in the bottom of his heart?

Phone Tone rings back. The name Dewanto appears on the phone screen. Tone and Guide looked at each other. As if it needed approval to receive a phone call. Tone reset her breath. “iya?”

“I'm stuck in traffic. Looks like it will take.” said Dewanto when the phone started connecting.

“No need to rush.” said Nada directly disconnected Dewanto's speech. “I met a friend. It looks like it will chat for a while.” said Nada while staring at Pandu who was still standing quietly in front of him. Waiting for Nada to finish her phone.

“Oh yes? then I'll pick you up in half an hour. Hopefully the jams aren't too long. You guys have fun first yes.”

“Iya. Be careful on the road, dear.”

Pandu stared at Nada. There is so much he wants to ask. There's a lot he wants to say. He wanted to tell the girl who had been living in his heart. Even after three years of marriage, he realized that his marriage was not happy. No, because his heart was only attached to Nada.

“What is your girlfriend?” Tanya Pandu ventured after just silently staring at Nada.

“Marriage.” replied Nada sounds relaxed yet firm. He does not want to look fragile and shaky in front of Pandu or his efforts have been in vain. “What are you doing here?”

“I've been in Indonesia for a week. I came home to take care of my divorce.” Pandu said firmly.

The most surprising thing sounded. Nada did not know how to deal with a conversation like this. “Why?”

Pandu raised his shoulders. “Because from the beginning, it was just a momentary wish. Not real love. I've tried to love her, but I can't take it anymore.”

Tone clenched his palm. “If not loved from the beginning, why marry her? Is marriage like a game to you?!”

Pandu just looked down. “I'm really sorry I betrayed you back then. I even treated you very badly. You know the infidelity that men do is only temporary. Just to drive away boredom,”

A slap floated into Pandu's face. Anger overpowers the Tone. He did not believe that Pandu would say that. “Can you say that? Do you think I'm a game too? You might say bored and then choose to cheat. Where was your heart back then, asshole?!”

Pandu smile. “I'm happy if you're angry like this. All this time you've been trying to stay good to me who's been bad. It just makes me feel more guilty. I'm relieved to have a slap from you. That's worth it.”

“Preserve your marriage. Because that's the decision you made. That's the choice you made after you dumped me. It's just me you're hurting, no more women.”

“I can't. Already can not be anymore.” said Pandu while looking down. He could no longer maintain his marriage to Sasti. Even Sasti had known for a long time and was still trying to defend.

“You will feel how valuable he is when he has lost. Don't let you regret losing your wife.” said Nada as she passed.

No more need to linger over things that might hurt each other. Tone of understanding about it. He chose to stay as far away as possible before the emotions that controlled both. Both Nada and Pandu still keep that feeling deep in their hearts. I don't know what time can do with both.
