It's like saying "I Miss You"

It's like saying "I Miss You"
Forced To Be Stupid

After being left alone in the cafe, Dewanto chose to return to his office. Hopefully by working can restore his spirit again. He tried to work on some of the proposals that had piled up to be examined, but the concentration was always split as he remembered how Nada had left him alone in the cafe. Maybe it was his fault for not being honest if he really wanted to meet the girl. He was sure that the girl had sharp instincts.

Phone's vibrating. A short message appeared on the phone screen. Eyebrows wrinkling. A dinner invitation sent by his mother. I don't know how many times he has attended matchmaking events under the guise of dinner invitations. He took a deep breath and leaned his tireless back on the chair. He realized that he was no longer young to postpone talking about marriage. But should he choose a woman who doesn't even attract his attention at all?

“Halo, Mother. Can I not come on the invitation this time? I still have a lot of work to take care of.” said Dewanto when a phone connection with his mother began to connect. He was even at the core of the conversation.

“You are thinking only about work, work and work. Don't you want to get married?” his mother replied, a little bit of a nagging.

“I'm tired of this matchmaking invitation, Bu.”

“You yourself immediately refused and did not want to get to know more closely with the candidate you brought. How do you want to get married later? Anyway you should come. This time it's your father's subordinate's daughter in the office. You don't make us shy, yes.”

Dewanto sighed once more with a heavy breath. “Good. I'm probably a little late. We meet at the restaurant. I just need to see it, and then it's up to me, right?”

“Dewanto….You are !!!” Shouted the mother who was getting tired of facing her stubborn child. Of course, that trait is a derivative of the Mother.

“Yes, Mom. I have to finish the job or I will not be able to come to dinner.” said Dewanto directly hung up the phone without hearing the approval of his mother. He did not even want to continue his work.

******

Hotel Marine has become a subscription for the Anggara family when organizing a dinner full of surprises like today. Dewant hasn't even set foot in the house. Fortunately, he still left a shirt with jeans that had just been washed by the laundry in his office. A simple shirt should be no problem to attend a boring dinner.

He immediately pulled over his car in a large parking area of the hotel. Dewanto glanced at his watch. It should have taken much longer so as not to have to wait long to finish eating mini mala. His phone didn't shake at all. Even Nada did not try to contact him even though she was just apologizing for leaving him at the cafe this afternoon. It seems that Nada realized the lie that Dewanto had told him this afternoon. That girl is so stubborn.

Dewanto's arrival was immediately greeted by several servants in front of the entrance. This restaurant has indeed become a subscription for the Anggara family especially when holding a dinner full of mystery like now. One of the butlers immediately greeted Dewanto and drove him to the reserved table. There he saw Mother and Father already sitting opposite the candidate besan –which either so or not-.

But a second later he was transfixed to see the back of a woman standing almost blocking his way. His father immediately waved to him and called out Dewanto's name. A second later the woman looked back. How his blood rippled when he saw the girl who usually looks casual now looks graceful and feminine. The girl was even more beautiful than usual. Why is Nada here?

“You.....” said Nada was surprised when he saw Dewanto walking up to him.

“Why are you here?” Tanya Dewanto was no less surprised by Nada.

“Wahh...Do you know each other? His name is Grenada, you can call him Nada. Well, Nada...ehm.this is my son's name is Dewanto. Do you know each other?” Said Mother Dewanto immediately approached when the two began to meet the eyes.

“Dia.....” Nada begins to be confused to explain what relationship is really going on between Dewanto and Nada. If you say friends, it seems like the relationship has not been that deep. If you say business partners, not Nada who works with Dewanto.

“Nada is the finance manager of the Almunium Company who will enter into a cooperation contract agreement with me, Mom. We only met a few times for work.” Obviously Dewanto looked relaxed. He seems to be used to dealing with this kind of situation.

Mom immediately smiled happily and told the two to immediately sit down to start the dinner. Nada sighed when she had to sit face to face with Dewanto. So, he began to be able to draw conclusions in this brief event. That Nada was forced to make an arranged marriage with Dewanto. Tone was back in mind with the initial plan. This time he believes that Dewanto can certainly work together not to continue this matchmaking.

Nada hardly cares what the parents have talked about. He decided to enjoy this wonderful dinner. It was rare that he could eat this kind of expensive meal even though he could actually afford it. While Dewanto from earlier just stared at Nada with a gaze full of tenderness. Didn't expect that the girl could look this beautiful when she was outside the office. Maybe he should often invite Nada dinner to be able to enjoy the elegance that is in front of his eyes. Even the plate of food did not feel as beautiful as the scene in front of him.

Dewanto and Nada looked at each other for a moment. The tone glared as if giving a code to reject this matchmaking. But Dewanto showed his ignorant smile and at that moment Nada felt a bad feeling was about to happen.

“I am willing to continue this matchmaking, Auntie. Nada also accepted this matchmaking happily. Aren't you, Nada?” Dewanto replied with a smile at Nada who started to let out his anger.

“Thank God if both agree. No more problems, ma'am. When will the engagement start?” Mother Dewanto was very enthusiastic about the decision of her first child who was very much awaited.

“What to talk about right now? Isn't it too fast?” Asked Father Nada who started to feel like this conversation had gone too far.

“Faster is better. In three months, Dewanto's sister abroad will return home. What if the wedding is done after that?” Ibu Dewanto began to give a suggestion that almost made Nada want to leave the table immediately.

Tone rose from his seat and immediately ran out of the restaurant. This incident caused both parents to be silent and wonder. Dewanto immediately ran after Nada. That girl was a little hard. But that doesn't mean it can't be conquered, does it?

Dewanto pulled Nada's arm and managed to prevent Nada from leaving the restaurant. His breathing gasps for difficulty running using high heels. “Where are you going?”

“What is this you're planning? You approached me knowing about this matchmaking, right? You planned it in such a way and made me feel humiliated, right?”

“What are you talking about? I don't know about this show at all. I was surprised to know it was you. I didn't mean to embarrass you.” Clearly Dewanto with a voice that is almost the same as Nada.

“Then what was it? You made a decision as if we both agreed to this stupid show!! you don't even care about my decision.” The tone began to bring out the emotions within him.

“Then how? Refused him? You want to make your father and mother ashamed in front of my parents? Stop thinking about yourself, think about your parents too!”

Dewanto's words are like a sharp whip to Nada. He knew best what had happened before he was finally willing to come to this dinner. How much they expect Nada in this matchmaking event. Nada looked back at the dining table which already looked quite far away. He almost ran out of the restaurant.

“The situation will be different if you also refuse this matchmaking.” said Nada still trying to insist on canceling the matchmaking.

“But I don't want to reject it. Not because of my parents, but also for my own sake.” Dewanto was very confident. He did not even need to think first when answering the questions asked by his mother Nada. “I'm sorry for not being honest this afternoon. I went to your office to take lunch, but your coworkers said you took time off and were usually in the bookstore.”

Nada listened to all of Dewanto's explanations well. He did not expect that the man would confess at a time like this. Actually Nada also did not see any lies in Dewanto's speech.

“I searched all the bookstores in the city and then found you there. Sorry if I admitted to just coincidentally meeting. I didn't mean to stalk or anything you think of me.”

Tone breathed a sigh of relief. He felt calm because Dewanto had explained everything. He could even leave there quietly.

“Then, how about this matchmaking?” Tanya Dewanto stopped Nada from leaving the restaurant.

“You can reject it. Don't you really want this matchmaking?”

Dewanto was silent again. Taking a decision that might lead him to a better or even worse situation than this. “But I received it. Can't we learn to understand each other?”
