In the Special Region of Yogyakarta there is a hamlet called Gubukrabuh. It is located in Gunung Kidul regency. There is a story behind the name of the hamlet that relates to an incident in the past.

At that time, the Majapahit Kingdom was led by Prabu Brawijaya V. One of the games was named Princess Campa which was an offering from the Kingdom of China. Due to opposition in the kingdom, Prabu Brawijaya V exiled Princess Campa who was pregnant with her child. Prabu Brawijaya V asked the son of one of his concubines, Arya Damar, to marry Princess Campa and take her away. A few months later, Princess Campa gave birth to a son from her marriage with Prabu Brawijaya V who later became known as Raden Patah.

Later, Princess Campa married Arya Damar and obtained a son named Raden Kusen. When he grew up, Raden Kusen and Raden Fatah went to Sunan Ampel in Surabaya. After that, by hiding his identity, Raden Kusen went to the Majapahit Kingdom and served there.

His behavioral skills make Raden Kusen believed to be the Duke of Terung in the Majapahit Kingdom. Meanwhile, Raden Patah managed to open a pesantren named Glagahwangi in Central Java.

Once, Raden Kusen invited his half-brother, Raden Patah, to meet Prabu Brawijaya V. Later, they told Prabu Brawijaya V who they really are

“Raden Patah is the son of His Majesty from Princess Campo, while

I am the stepson and grandson of His Majesty Arya Damar,”, Raden Kusen said.

Initially, Prabu Brawijaya V did not believe what he heard. However, eventually these two people were able to convince him. Then, Raden Patah was appointed Regent of Glagahwangi who had changed his name to Demak.

Raden Patah also attacked the Majapahit Kingdom with the intention of Islamizing his father and followers. However, his intentions were opposed by Sunan Ampel. Raden Patah then abandoned his intentions. When Sunan Ampel died, his wish resurfaced.

When Prabu Brawijaya V's troops fled to the Gunung Kidul region, Raden Patah continued to pursue. In the interior, the forces of Prabu Brawijaya V intended to rest in a hut to unwind. However, it turns out that Raden Patah's troops have already arrived there. They managed to ambush Prabu Brawijaya V's forces, but Prabu Brawijaya V managed to escape.

In the hut Raden Patah guided his father's troops to embrace Islam. They were taught prayers with other Islamic teachings. Meanwhile, Prabu Brawijaya V fled to the southern coast of Gunung Kidul. He was desperate and did not continue his escape. Prabu Brawi Jaya V ended his life in that place.

By the community, the area where the Parabu Brawi Jaya V troops embraced Islam is called Gubukrubuh. Hut means house and collapse means the collapse of the body when prostrating in prayer.
