My sister can no longer be saved. She had followed her husband, to leave this world.
After the doctor said that my brother was dead. My heart is hurting and there is fear in my heart. I was afraid of Alina who was still in there.
I ran, leaving the doctor and my lifeless sister behind. I don't care what the doctor said. All I have in mind right now is, Alina. How's things going? Has the doctor been out of his room or not? And all that was on my mind right now was, Alina, Alina, and Alina.
"How are things, Alina?" I asked Ryan, holding my breath because he just ran away.
"What the hell are you, Mul? How to run around that," Ryan said instead asked.
"Here you go, just answer what I ask. Is it hard for doctors to get out of the room, Alina?"
"Yet, Mulya. You are to ...."
Ryan's words stopped, because the door of the room was wide open. Then, a female doctor emerged from the room.
"How's Alina doing, Doc?" ask me quickly while holding both arms of the doctor.
"Yes Doc, how's my sister doing?" ask Ryan anyway.
"Relax, the patient has passed his critical period. It's just that, because of the lack of a lot of blood, the patient takes a little longer to be aware of the coma."
The doctor's explanation, was able to make my restless heart become a little calmer. I can also breathe well, after listening, if Alina is past her critical period.
"I told you Nino is a strong boy, Mulya," Ryan said, patting me on the shoulder.
I smiled with relief, I let go of my hand that was holding the doctor's arm since then.
"Thank you so much doctor" I said in a very relieved tone.
"Together," said the doctor, leaving us.
"Mulya," said someone while touching my shoulder.
Suddenly, I turned around and saw who had called my name.
"Father!" I said with slightly widened eyes.
"Where's your brother?"
I just remembered that I had forgotten my brother. Because she was too worried about Alina's situation.
"Where's the room?"
"Papa, I'm sorry. I can't take care of my brother. Because of me, brother ...."
"There's no need to feel guilty, Mulya. Papa won't blame you, none of this will happen, if your brother isn't stubborn."
"Will you keep blaming your brother, if you know, you're not alive right now, pa?"
Papa was silent without a word, his old eyes began to glaze over, while listening to what I said.
"Where is your brother now?"
"In Melati's room" I said a little limp.
Papa walked away from me without a word while being followed by some men who always obeyed papa's direction.
"Mulya."
Ryan touched my shoulder gently. He seemed to be concerned about what I was feeling right now.
"What happened to your sister, Mulya?"
"Nothing."
"You can share with me, Mulya. Just tell me what happened. For now, forget the strife that has been created, between me and you."
My heart suddenly felt warm as Ryan said those words. I thought he would be the first to laugh at me, at what had happened to me. Because I've been, like, the worst person in his life in the past.
"I'm .. My brother is no more now, Ryan. She and her husband had died from blood loss, and also, their organs were damaged, as a result of the gunfire."
Ryan hugged me who was sad right now. He tried to make me feel calm about what had happened.
"I know it's heavy, Mulya. But you have to be strong and stay patient with what's going on."
"Do you not want to mock me at this moment, Ryan. Because in the past, I was the one who had made you lose your happiness" I said as I continued to hug Ryan tightly.
"Mulya, forgiveness is more beautiful, than holding a grudge. Because, by forgiving, your heart will feel peace. Your life will be much calmer" Ryan said steadily.
The words were like a very hard slap for me. Because all this time, I've been trying to get my revenge. I hold a grudge, so, my heart always feels pain and always feels restless.
