After being laughed at by his family and explaining what had happened, Kendrick returned to the hotel. He promised to bring Emma and Daniel home after a better situation where Emma could talk to him because Emma is still in a situation where there is no trust he and I still feel useless.

Everyone in Emma's position will definitely feel that way and she won't force Emma because Emma does take time until her confidence returns. Kendrick did not return empty handed. Some of Daniel's belongings he brought, as well as food made by his mother. Kendrick bought some necessities for Emma. Although Emma didn't ask but she knew, Emma definitely needed her.

Kendrick came back when the time was nine o'clock in the evening. He was held back long enough because of his family and he had to wait for his mother to finish making food. Luckily she ordered a lot of food before she came back so Daniel and Emma could eat when they were hungry. Kendrick came in without knocking because he was carrying a spare key. He doesn't want to interrupt and sure enough, Daniel's asleep and Emma's not.

Emma was lying in a long chair in front of the window, looking pensive as she looked at the beautiful cityscape. As Kendrick went inside, Emma turned towards him but not for long as she looked back out the window. Kendrick puts down the things she's carrying and walks over to Emma.

"Can I join you?" tanyanya basa.

Emma looked up, looking at Kendrick standing by her side. Without saying anything, Emma shifted so that Kendrick could sit down with her.

"Why not sleep? Are you hungry?" Kendrick asked again but Emma shook her head.

"If you're hungry just say it, my mom made you some soup and Daniel."

"No, thank you for being so kind to me" said Emma, looking down.

"What did you say? I should've cared about you, "Kendrick raised his hand, about to embrace Emma's shoulder but he broke his intention because he was afraid Emma was angry.

"I'm really ashamed of you, Ken. If only I could remember a little of our old togetherness? Maybe none of this will happen!"

"Take it, I don't blame you. No need to feel regret like that, we fix it again from the beginning. I want you to do it for Daniel and don't be selfish anymore."

Emma nodded, she leaned back and looked out the window. Kendrick leaned back just like they did.

"I'm looking for a good neurologist for you so your memory can recover quickly."

"No need, Kendrick. Just cure Daniel's disease!" reject Emma.

"No, Emma," Kendrick grabbed Emma's hand without hesitation. Emma was surprised, she was about to pull her hand but Kendrick held it.

"Your intentions must be restored so that you know what happened to you in the past. I suspect Kimberly played a big part in your lost memory and I, will not let it go if my suspicions are proven!"

“Already Kendrick, nothing to prove anymore. Kimberly and I have nothing to do because my grandfather ended our relationship. The Passes let it pass because I will never see them again.”

“Can't, I still want to find out what really happened to you in the past. Even though Kimberly is your sister, you must still uphold justice for yourself. Don't let Kimberly's crimes get worse. He had an unpleasant nature for a long time, so we didn't like him. Now, don't let her get more rampant with her envious attitude.”

"After knowing what happened, what do you want to do? Do you want to imprison him? If you do, then the grandfather who hates me will curse me!"

"You don't have to worry about that. I'm sure your grandfather must not have known what Kimberly did in the past."

"Cannot be. Grandpa must know because he's always defending Kimberly."

"So you want to just let it go? You want to let Kimberly make you like this?"

"It's not. For now, I don't know. Instead of thinking about Kimberly, I'd rather focus on fixing my life so as not to let Daniel down. If my memory can come back, then I'll decide what to do with Kimberly!"

"Well, tomorrow I'll find you a house. Now enjoy the soup my mother made before it gets cold."

Emma nodded, though she was not hungry but she should not refuse because Kendrick's mother had taken the trouble to make soup for her. Suddenly he became curious, were Kendrick's parents not angry and hated him?

“Mommy?” daniel's call diverted them both. Kendrick cleared his throat and walked up to the bed after putting hot soup on the table. Emma turned her face red, what did she just do? They had no such relationship even though she had given birth to Kendrick's child.

“Daddy, why not wake Daniel?” ask Daniel who is sitting on the bed.

“You're asleep, so Daddy doesn't want to interrupt. Now that you're awake, do you want to eat grandma's soup?”

“Mau, but after that Daniel wants to go back to sleep with Mommy and Daddy,” his son said as he reached out with both hands as a sign if he wanted to ask to be carried.

Kendrick holds Daniel and takes him to Emma who is blowing soup because she wants to feed Daniel. Luckily Daniel woke up otherwise he didn't know what they were going to do after that stunt.

“Mommy, how about your legs?” Daniel asked his mother because his mother's legs were still covered with wounds from walking far enough away.

“It's okay, now enjoy the soup after that go back to sleep!” said Emma.

“Daniel wants Mommy to feed!” said Daniel.

“Come here, sit down with Mommy!” ask Emma while patting the chair at her side.

"After this Daniel will sleep with Mommy and Daddy!" said Daniel.

Emma agreed to her son's request without much thought. Just sleeping and the bed is so big, he sure doesn't need to get close to Kendrick but in fact, after the soup runs out, Daniel pulls his father and mother. Emma still thinks Daniel will be in the middle so she and Kendrick have some distance and Daniel will be the barrier between them.

“Daniel, Why isn't Daniel in the middle? why Daddy?” ask Emma. If so, he'll have to sleep on Kendrick's side and he won't.

“Daniel doesn't like Daddy just hugging Daniel. Daniel wants Daddy to hug Mommy too. So Daddy has to be in the middle to break even,” said his son

“But?” Emma seemed hesitant, because Daniel's sudden request was beyond prediction.

“Already, we'll do it. Anyway I won't do anything to harm you,” Kendrick said.

“Quick Daddy, Daniel is sleepy!” shouted his son who was lying on the bed.

Kendrick immediately approached Daniel and lay by his side. Emma was silent and hesitant but Daniel called back so inevitably Emma went up to the bed and lay down on Kendrick's side.

“Daddy should hug Mommy too!” daniel shouted because his father had already hugged him with one arm.

“Do not hit me,” ask Kendrick on Emma before she hugs Emma with another arm. Emma was quiet, not fighting. Daniel was very happy, because this is what he wanted.

“How, Mommy? Cuddled by Daddy is very convenient isn't it?” the innocent children question with no meaning but Emma blushed in embarrassment even she hid her blushing face on Kendrick's chest.

“What's with Mommy, Daddy?” ask Daniel.

“Nothing, Daniel should go to bed soon. Didn't Daniel say that Daniel was sleepy? So go to sleep, Daddy will take care of you both!”  he was really happy to be like that. Daniel really brings good luck and he hopes that soon they can become a family because he wants to marry Emma.

“ Good night Dad, Good night Mom,” Daniel said before bed.

Emma also said good night to her son, it felt very like to move immediately but Kendrick's embrace was comfortable so that made Emma fall asleep quickly because for several days she was lacking sleep and fatigue. Kendrick was so happy, happiness filled my heart. The woman he had loved long ago was in the arms together with their son. He swore he would never let Emma go of his life again.
