Emma was forced to come along because her son was not stopping crying. He was worried that Daniel's situation was getting worse because of him. Although he had to endure the embarrassment because he had already left but in the end had to come back again. People will laugh at him and make fun of him. He would be considered a loser but he was indeed a loser and he admitted it.

Not only ashamed of Kendrick, but Emma is also ashamed of the Kendrick family she will soon meet. Honestly, he didn't have the face to meet Kendrick's mother, so he didn't want to follow Kendrick back home. He's not ready to meet Kendrick's mother, really not ready after what he's done. They even met just like that without discussing anything and he was sure, Kendrick's mother must have been disappointed and angry with him.

She doesn't have the energy to argue either because she's still hungry because of the bread she's found she's bitten in part but Emma doesn't dare say that to Kendrick because she's ashamed.

While on his way to the hotel where Emma will be staying for a while, Daniel hugs his mother without letting go because he is afraid that her mother is leaving again. Although Emma has been banned because her body is dirty and smelly because she has not bathed for a few days but Daniel does not care because he wants to be close to his mother .

"Mommy, please don't leave Daniel. Daniel is guilty of making Mommy sad by Daniel's words. I'm sorry Daniel, Mommy. And promise not to go again" Daniel asked, hugging his mother tightly.

"Mommy can't give you the best, Daniel. Daniel would be miserable if he went with Mommy, which is why Mommy left" Emma explained.

"Is Mommy not mad at Daniel?" his son looked at his mother and then he leaned back against her chest despite the smell but Daniel said nothing because he did not want to offend his mother.

"No, what Daniel said is very true. Mommy should apologize to Daniel for hiding the truth and deceiving Daniel. Mommy shouldn't do that when Daniel always asks and always says if Daniel wants to meet Daddy but Mommy doesn't dare to tell the truth. Please forgive Mommy who failed to be your mother and who could not bring happiness to you."

"It's okay, Mommy. Didn't Daniel say, we better go back to New York as long as Daniel is always with Mommy."

"No, Mommy can't sacrifice your life. Daniel shouldn't have to find Mommy and stay with Daddy. Mommy didn't throw you away, Mommy just handed Daniel over to Daddy because Mommy couldn't afford to give Daniel happiness."

"But Daniel wouldn't if he wasn't with Mommy. Mommy has to promise not to go anywhere anymore. If Mommy leaves, Daniel will come along, so don't leave Daniel again, Mommy" Daniel asked again.

Emma nodded while holding back tears. The most useless mother was herself but why would her son still want her? He knew many people were disappointed because he was ashamed. They should all behave like his grandfather and not care about him so that he did not feel any more guilty.

Daniel didn't say anything more, he looked comfortable in his mother's arms. For two days not meeting, of course, the feeling of longing they feel. Emma had no voice, she dared not ask Kendrick where they were going and what they would do next because she felt she had no right to speak.

Kendrick said nothing because he was thinking. What will he do after this? She can get Emma married but she's sure Emma isn't as easy as she wants to be after what she's been through.

A hotel already in sight, Emma's getting unwell because Kendrick took her to a luxury hotel. He just needed shelter and now he's really making it harder for Kendrick.

"Mommy, why didn't Mommy bring anything?" ask her son because Emma followed them with her bare hands.

"Mommy doesn't have anything left, Daniel. Only the clothes attached to this body that Mommy has," said Emma.  They were already in a very large room and the room would be occupied by her for a while until Emma was willing to go home and live with her.

"Where are our clothes going, Mommy? Didn't Mommy pick it up at grandpa's great-grandfather's house?" daniel asked again because he knew their clothes were there.

"It looks like Aunty threw it away. Mommy can't take it either because Mommy thinks it's going to be a lot of trouble," he would not tell his son what happened to him while searching for the whereabouts of Daniel who was then taken by Kendrick without his knowledge.

"So now what's Mommy wearing?" ask her son again innocently.

"Don't forget Daddy's food, Mommy must be hungry" asked Daniel because while on the road he could hear his mother's stomach sounding.

Emma's down, she's really embarrassed. Kendrick and his son should not have seen themselves in such a state. He used to trap Kendrick with his arrogance, but now the degree of the servant in the man's house was higher than him because he was already a midfielder.

"For that is certain. Daddy's gonna buy Mommy food. Does Daniel want anything?"

"Daniel wants to eat with Mommy!" shouted Daniel.

"alright. Daddy will order food soon. Go take a bath Emma, don't feel bad like that.  I'm not going to say anything bad about you because what happened to you was my fault. I should have apologized to you for leaving because of my rash actions."

"No, it's all my fault. I started you shouldn't have cared about me, you should have kept your promise to look after Daniel.  I don't mind staying on the street. I also don't mind eating the food I have to take from the trash because I do deserve. This is the reward I have to accept for all the mistakes I've done."

"Well," Kendrick put her palm over Emma's head and gently rubbed it, "You've paid for it and now it's time we fix it all. We're gonna raise Daniel together. Let's discuss this again later, now clean yourself up. I will order someone to bring you clothes and food.  From now on you don't have to worry about anything anymore because you've paid for everything you've done."

"Please, I'm sorry Kendrick," Emma asked.

"Never blame yourself so there's no need to apologize. Our destinies are intricately strung together and like tangled threads but now we can reduce them so that our destinies become beautiful."

Emma's annoying, she doesn't understand what Kendrick's saying. He did not expect more since the apology of the man was enough as well as the apology of his son.  Emma immediately went to the bathroom to clean her dirty body. His son is waiting outside, and so is Kendrick. Although there were no clothes he could wear yet but a kimono he could use for a while.

"Mommy hurry, Daniel will feed Mommy a meal" called his son. Some of the food menu is already there, the delicious aroma makes Emma's stomach sound even more. Emma blushed in embarrassment as she approached her son and Kendrick who were already waiting.

"Open Mommy's mouth, Daniel has blown it cold" said Daniel who wants to feed his mother.

"Thank you" Emma sat down by Daniel's side and received the food her son had been feeding.

"How, what's good?" ask Daniel.

Emma nodded with tears flowing.

"Why is Mommy crying? What's hot?" ask son. Emma nodded and hugged Daniel. Her tears could not stand it anymore. He's really pathetic, very pathetic.

"Don't cry, Mommy. Daniel and Daddy won't let Mommy take food out of the trash anymore" Daniel said, hugging his mother.

Emma laughed, behind her cries. Kendrick only noticed their togetherness without interrupting because she was sure, with that togetherness, Emma would never leave them again.
