A bone marrow transplant should be done if Emma wants her son's disease to recover. Emma had already done the test because she thought hers would fit because she was Daniel's mother but unfortunately her bone marrow didn't match so she couldn't be a donor. She felt disappointed and sad because this was the first time she could do nothing for her son.

Emma is desperate because she has to wait for someone willing to donate bone marrow that matches her son but until when does she have to wait? She didn't have many acquaintances in New York and she couldn't wait until someone was kind enough to help her son.

Daniel's situation left him helpless. Daniel, who was cheerful, now spends more time in bed. His weight dropped drastically, Daniel always complained of fatigue and pain so that makes Emma's heart unable to withstand the sadness.

Emma had already thought about many things, she had already made the decision to go back and ask for her grandfather's help. He hoped his grandfather would help him finance Daniel's treatment and help him find a bone marrow donor. Only his grandfather had the hope he had but if not, then he had to find Kendrick and ask for his help even with considerable risk.

Daniel is still in the hospital. Emma tries to give her son the best care but the money she has is not much. Maybe he could hang on with the money for another week or two and after that, he wouldn't be able to hold on let alone he's not gone to work for a few days because of having to look after his son.

"Mommy," Daniel calls Emma's daydream.

"What's up, honey?" Emma tried to smile, to hide the sadness she felt.

"When Daniel gets home, Mommy. Daniel wants to go to school" his son said.

"It looks like Daniel can't go to school anymore," he had to say.

"Why, Mommy? Why can't Daniel go to school again?" Daniel looks sad, he's just a kid who still wants to play and have fun with his friends he's at school.

"Listen, Mommy thinks we should move" Emma said.

"Are we going to find Daddy, Mom?" a glimmer of joy emanated from Daniel's facial expression because he had long wanted to meet his father. Emma lied to her son and told him that Daniel's father was working out of town. He can't say if his son's father is dead, somehow he can't bear to say it because he's afraid Daniel will hate him when Daniel is an adult and accidentally meets Kendrick Maxton. However, the world is not as vast as imagined because the possibility of Daniel meeting his son is very large.

Emma smiled, her hands gently rubbing her son's head. Now whatever he's gonna do for Daniel. He who has begun will be the one who will bear all the consequences, not his son. After making that decision and his son agrees that thinking he will meet his father, Emma takes Daniel home to California. Whether his grandfather would accept him or not, he had to give it a try. "Is Grandpa great-grandfather a good man?" his son looked anxious because he did not really like meeting strangers.

"of course. Daniel doesn't have to be afraid because there's Mommy!"

Daniel nodded and hugged his mother. Emma sighed for a moment before stepping into the grounds of the grandfather's house. Four years he's gone, nothing has changed at all. It still looks the same as when he left. He was sure that only his grandfather's heart had changed.

"Great lady!" a waiter who saw her return was shocked that Emma had left suddenly and no one knew the cause other than the host and had now returned suddenly.

"Sure, the great sir is having a guest. I'll help Miss carry all that stuff!" two waiters rushed to pick up the suitcase Emma was carrying but their gazes were on Daniel who was in Emma's arms. A very handsome young man, his face was exactly that of his mother.

"Thank you," Emma stepped in, her eyes fixed on the luxury car parked not far from the main door. It seems like the grandfather has an important guest, he should not appear first because he does not want to make a fuss so that his grandfather is embarrassed.

"Why didn't Miss go inside?" ask the waiter who helped her with the goods.
