Episode 74

Rudi sat down uneasily, Soraya was able to catch that her husband was now in a rage. In the plane seat there are not many words they talk about.

Soraya understood this situation so well, so he now put Rudi's hand on his lap then held it tightly, trying to channel all the care and presence of himself only to the person beside him.

Rudi could not say anything, he only let out a long sigh and then leaned his back on the passenger seat while closing his eyes tightly.

The journey took quite a long time, they now arrived there at midnight. Rudi and Soraya rush to the hospital where Mama Rudi is treated.

"How's Mama doing?" said Rudi when he arrived in Aluna's room. Because when he was in the hospital room, his mother seemed to be absent. And when asking the nurse, he was only given directions to see doctor Aluna in his room.

For a moment Aluna was silent she tried to arrange the words she would get out of her mouth. It also made Rudi filled with question marks, he caught something wrong there.

"Say?" said Rudi who sounded annoying.

Aluna took a breath before she spoke. "Your M— can't be helped."

Rudi's body was stiff, as if the floor in his incandescent now sucked all of his energy. His breath was stifled looking in disbelief at the person before him. "What did you say?" asked Rudi as if he did not believe, but rather did not accept.

Aluna had predicted that whatever would happen, she was currently having trouble sipping her saliva. Wanting to say that it was true but it felt like his voice was stuck in his throat, with great difficulty he only said one word, "I'm sorry."

The atmosphere in the room looked tense, full of pain. As Soraya felt, she stood beside Rudi listening to the words that had just been thrown. Her hand now firmly blocked the arm of her husband who stood like a statue, stiff with no expression.

"I want to meet," after taking a breath that felt like it was clumping in his chest.

There was not much Soraya could do except follow the direction of the step where her husband was going. This time they were in the morgue. What Soraya never expected was that she met her in-laws under these circumstances, the first and last meeting.

Rudi now looked so cold, Soraya could not even describe her husband's side this time. For a moment he saw his mother's condition, kissed her forehead and then took Soraya away.

Even until the day of the funeral arrived, which was held at a public burial place near Rudi's residence in America. Rudi's face still looks calm, but Soraya believes her husband's mind is inversely proportional.

Grandfather has been present and the family from Soraya's side also came to express condolences. Until the funeral is over they only stay two days here, while Rudi and Soraya still stay.

Soraya is currently sitting opposite Aluna, a friend and co-worker who is trusted to take care of her mother Rudi.

"I've heard your name a lot" Aluna said.

Soraya's forehead wrinkled. "Where do you know me from?"

"I think there are many things that you do not know about him," said Aluna again, making Soraya's curiosity increase.

Soraya was now poking her lips, looking at the beautiful woman before her who clearly looked elegant and educated.

"What do you know of Rudi, and—so far do you know him?" aluna said that actually makes Soraya confused.

'Why did he ask, '" Soraya said. But Soraya now said, "He's someone who has a hard time expressing his feelings."

Aluna smiled faintly, then nodded her head. "It's more or less like that" Aluna confirmed.

Soraya was slightly stunned, rightly guessed. Not only did he accept that attitude but everyone else did too.

"It's happened since Mama's condition worsened. Do you know why and why your mom is depressed?"

"It happened a long time ago. Her father had so deeply incised the wound on her mother's heart that it shook her soul. Not to mention the love that is so deep that it makes a person close the conscience that hinders the way of his mind. Her mother was depressed and tried to kill herself, and last time was yesterday, we doctors couldn't help. Rudi has tried her best to sacrifice her feelings, her time and leave her first love, do you know the person?" tanya Aluna looked at Soraya and was taken in by the person before her.

"After Rudi couldn't catch up with the woman, he met you. I know Rudi never said he loved you, it just hasn't. Because—," said Aluna pause for a moment.

"What?" ask Soraya who wants to know, because she must know what is going on with her husband now.

"Rudi just doesn't believe in himself, your job is just to convince him that he is valuable to you and you also have to believe in yourself that you are worthy of him" Aluna said.

"I'm sure the person she needs right now is you," she then left Soraya who was still sitting staring at the cup in front of her.
