Nathan's Story

“Wah, your cooking smells great. I can't wait to eat breakfast” Nathan said that morning.

He woke up from his sleep because he smelled the aroma of Alyssa's cooking that was so appetizing. Nathan sat in the dining room while waiting for Alyssa to finish cooking. His views never separated from the woman of his tribe.

“Honey, you know, I really like to worry about you if you cook like this”, Nathan said suddenly.

“Times anyway?” alyssa asked with a smile.

“Iya really! Do you want to know why?”

“Why?” alyssa asked again while continuing to cook.

“Soal you if you cook again it looks sexy. Hehe..” replied Nathan chuckled.

“You like?”

“Iya I like!”

“Ohh.. so you like sexy girls?” Alyssa turned around and looked at Nathan with a sharp gaze.

“Eh, that's not it baby. I said you are hot when you cook and I like to see you cook, so dear”.

“Say if you like sexy girl rich Sarah, right?”

“Make me the sexiest girl it's just you”.

“Gombal sih” Alyssa turned her back to Nathan again, she continued cooking.

After the two of them had breakfast together, Nathan headed straight to the living room. Today Nathan is not scheduled, but he has to sign a lot of photos and shirts to be shared for his fans. The photo and the clothes that now filled the living room were brought by Alvin this morning before Alyssa came.

“What are you doing again?” alyssa asked who had just finished cleaning the leftover dishes in the kitchen. Alyssa sat down next to Nathan.

“You see this isn't?” nathan asked as he pointed at the pile of photos and clothes to his left right. “I have to sign all of this” Nathan said as he showed his pouting face that actually made him cute.

“OK, if so I will help you” said Alyssa.

“Totally?”

“Yes, I help you with prayer let your hands not pegel”.

“Ooh so yes you are now”.

“How is it? I am good enough to doain you. Hehe..” reply Alyssa while laughing.

“Udah ah, I want to know this now” Nathan starts taking one by one photos that he will sign.

Alyssa accompanied Nathan while feeding him the peeled fruit. Nathan was pleased with the attention Alyssa gave him so he did not feel tired in the slightest while signing so many photos and clothes.

“Sayang?” nathan said slowly.

“Iya”.

“You want to hear my story?”

“News about my family”.

“Iya darling, I want to hear”.

Nathan stops his activities, he faces sideways looking at Alyssa who is also staring at him ready to listen to his story.

“You're the first person I told you about my family” Nathan said later.

Alyssa was still staring at Nathan who was silent for a while, she had yet to start her story.

“If it's hard to tell now it's okay baby. I will be ready to hear your story when you want to tell” said Alyssa trying to understand her lover. Alyssa thinks Nathan must have had a hard time with his papa, seeing how difficult it is for him to tell stories.

“No, I want to tell you now!” nathan said firmly. He took a deep breath before starting his story.

“Iya, I heard your story dear” Alyssa replied gently to calm Nathan's heart.

“Ten years ago when I was 17 years old, I already had the desire to become an artist. I love being known to so many people and I love acting. I talked to my mom and dad about my wishes and they supported me but on condition that no one would know about my family's life. Papa gave that condition to me not without reason, he did not want his business partners to use me if I was an artist later. Papa does not want until everyone knows that I am his son because his business partner could have dropped papa company by making unreasonable rumors about me. Papa thinks that being an artist will definitely get a lot of gossip.

After getting permission from my parents, I started casting a lot and my brother was always there to take me wherever I went casting”.

“Kakak? But your mama said you were the only child” asked Alyssa curiously.

“Since five years ago I have indeed become his only child”.

Nathan sighed and closed his eyes before continuing his story.

“I have an older brother who is three years older than me, his name is Kevin. He's a good brother and much smarter than me. He always took care of me at school, so no one dared to bully me at school. In front of papa mama, brother Kevin is a submissive child who becomes the pride of the family. But behind that, he is a brat just like me. But naughty brother Kevin only I know”.

“One day papa asked both of us, who would like to continue papa's business and lead the company. Of course I rejected it, at that time I just started my career as an actor and I was not interested in continuing my business. Because I refused, I finally decided that Kevin's brother would continue his business. Brother Kevin can only say yes in front of papa because he wants to be a submissive and proud child. But actually Kevin's brother also wants to reject the wishes of papa just like me”.

“Sister Kevin started working in papa company, every day he was busy and there was rarely time for us to meet. He was busy with his office business whereas I was busy with filming. At the time, I really felt far away from him. I can't listen to his complaints anymore. I was filming until dawn and when I got home Kevin was still sleeping. And in the morning, brother Kevin left for work, I was still asleep in my room. Can you imagine how it feels to be in one house but not be able to meet?”.

Alyssa shook her head to answer Nathan's question.

“When my film finally became a huge success and made a lot of profit, of course I wanted to celebrate with Kevin. I called him a few times but there was no answer. I think Kevin's brother is busy in his office. I looked for him at the office but papa said Kevin's brother wasn't feeling well so he came home early. I followed her home and mom said Kevin was resting in the room. I wanted to get into his room but I stopped doing it thinking maybe Kevin's brother needed enough rest. But until dinner time comes Kevin's brother doesn't come out of his room. I went upstairs to wake Kevin up, but the door was locked. I started to panic because he didn't normally sleep while locking up his room. I shouted to all the residents of the house because I was afraid that Kevin's brother was why. Papa came with the spare key to Kevin's room and as soon as he opened it we were all surprised to see Kevin's brother already lying stiff on his bed”.

“I feel guilty, I should have been able to prevent him from taking that medicine. Had it been that time I had not thought of letting Brother Kevin rest longer, surely I could have prevented him from killing himself“.

Nathan's tears had fallen down his cheeks. Alyssa wiped her lover's tears and hugged Nathan to calm him down.

“We found a letter made by Kevin's brother before he committed suicide. In the letter he wrote that he felt lonely there were no friends to tell him about his work in the office. He is stressed with his work done by force. I felt guilty for being too busy with my business until I forgot Kevin's brother who was very depressed with his job. If only I had received papa's wish from the beginning maybe Kevin's brother is still alive”.

“After Kevin's death, papa started opposing my career. He wanted me to stop being an actor and learn to take care of his company. I had a fight with papa because I did not want to obey his wishes until I finally decided to leave home and live alone in this apartment”.

Alyssa cried when she heard Nathan's story. It turns out that Nathan's life story is very sad, lost the person he loves the most and now has to be hostile to his own biological father. Alyssa hugs Nathan tighter as Nathan's sobs get louder.
