2. Reunite

Gideon has the clearest brown eyes. The color is so young that it stupefies those who see it.

Gideon's eyes looked at Liana who was still sitting on the asphalt. Somehow, when he saw her his heart felt a slight touch.

He felt like he was no stranger, like they had met before.

Gideon approached and crouched down in front of Liana. He glanced at Liana's knees. He found a slight red stain on his slender white legs.

Gideon took out his wallet and took out several pieces of money with a nominal amount.

Gideon handed it over with no emotion at all. Gideon often solves problems with his money.

Liana looked up and looked into the eyes of the man in front of her. He looked at Gideon.

“Is this not enough?” ask Gideon.

Liana wanted to say something but her lips only opened slightly without any sound.

The reaction that Liana showed made a sarcasm smile print on Gideon's face. He took out all the cash in his wallet.

“If this is still not enough. You can call the number listed on my business card.”

Liana blinked. At that moment his heart felt injustice and anger.

Liana looked at Gideon sharply.

“I'm hurt because of you. Not that you apologize but demean me with all your money.”

Liana looked at the money she had in her hand and gave it back to Gideon. His hand pulled Gideon's hand and placed the money forcibly in Gideon's palm.

Liana stood up straight, putting up an invisible defensive wall with a graceful demeanor.

“It's also my fault because I didn't see when I crossed. You don't have to take responsibility and also I don't need your money.”

Liana turned around and left.

Gideon recovered from his shock. He looked at the back that was starting to move away and then his eyes narrowed.

Faintly, Gideon seemed to be walking back from thousands of miles away. He remembered, those memories.

With the semar of Gideon's lips raised upwards.

Gideon's eyes flashed as he looked at the dropped business card. He picked it up and looked at the card.

“Liana.”

Liana walked without direction and purpose until her feet stopped in front of Damian school. Liana waited for Damian to finish studying in front of the school gate.

“Damian.”

Liana instantly pulled Damian into her arms.

Damian looked up and a bright smile rose there.

“Mother, I'm so hungry. Mom promised me today we'd eat my favorite food.”

When Liana heard this, her face immediately changed. His heart was ashamed. He was fired from his place of work. He has only a little money left.

Damian loves seafood, especially lobster, and it's very expensive.

Liana took off her embrace and gently touched Damian's cheek. Liana smiled to persuade Damian.

“Damian, today can we eat home food only?”

Damian looked down sad. The voice slightly trembled as it held back its cry. “Mother promised me.”

Liana looked at the little guy and felt guilty. Unknowingly her tears flowed from feeling like she was a mother who could not give her best for her child.

Liana immediately wiped her tears as soon as she fell and hit her cheeks.

“Alright, don't be sad. We'll eat Damian's favorite food.”

Damian gently looked up and his disappointment began to wane.

Liana hesitated for a long time.

“Actually, today mom was fired from work.” Liana said it a little embarrassed.

Damian who heard it was a little surprised. “Did mom make a mistake so mom got fired?”

Liana shook her head, “No. Tomorrow I'll find a job with a high enough salary so we can eat Damian's favorite food every day. We will often eat out.”

Damian shifted his gaze for a while then looked back at Liana.

“Mother, let's go home.”

“Are we not going to eat out. Relax, I have enough money.”

“No mother. I want to eat mom's cooking. Mother's cuisine is much tastier than the food outside.”

“Then, mom will buy fresh lobster and mom will cook it.”

Liana was slightly surprised at Damian's refusal.

“I mean, Damian's favorite food is not just Lobster. Damian likes to know too. Mom can, mommy cook me soup just know?”

Liana did not notice Damian's little trick so she did not know Damian's intent.

“Well mom will cook soup tofu.”

Elsewhere, Gideon was in his seat of greatness. His eyes slightly glanced at the document containing the biodata of a woman.

Yes, this morning Gideon ordered his secretary to investigate Liana.

“Is there anything strange?” ask Gideon to his secretary.

“Nothing, President.”

Gideon nodded and said, “You can go.”

Gideon was not too concerned about the matter and he put it aside and continued his work.

The next day, Liana and Damian go to the airport to pick up Suah. Suah is Liana's best friend.

Back when I was in college when Liana was pregnant and giving birth, the news spread around the campus. Rumors about Liana being a campus chicken being a warm meal of the gossipers.

Only Suah does not believe the rumors and becomes Liana's encouraging friend.

Initially they promised to study together abroad but due to the circumstances of Sanjaya's family, Liana refused to continue abroad.

“Suah!” call Liana.

“Liana.” Her screams stirred, while pulling Liana into his arms.

Suah took off her hug and pulled a tuft of Liana hair “Your hair is short,” she said. “I like.”

Liana raised her hand and flicked the hair dangling on Suah's forehead. “Your hair is longer,” reply. “And I don't like. Hey, I was just kidding.”

Liana liked Suah's messy appearance. Suah's skin color was much darker than Liana's, and from a long time ago it made Liana envious.

I haven't seen each other for two years. Sometimes, it's easy to forget how much we missed someone until we meet that person again. However, that was not how Liana felt with Suah. Liana always misses him. Although his occasional protective attitude could be annoying, it was also a testament to his closeness.

Suah complained because Liana reneged on her promise but then her eyes slipped and found the handsome little boy. Even Suah did not blink for a long time.

“Oh My God, oh my eyes. This little guy is really handsome.”

Suah immediately crouched down and pulled Damian slowly to get closer. Suah admired Damian so much.

“Liana, is this your sister?”

Liana smiled. “ No, he is my son. His name is Damian.” Liana rubbed Damian's head and said, “Damian, she is a mother's best friend, her name is aunt Suah.”

“What? What did you say?” suah asked in surprise and almost fell down.

Damian cutely said, “Halo aunt Suah. I'm Damian. My mother's name is Liana.”

Suah was immediately stunned. His eyes went back and forth looking at Liana and Damian. Lips open.

“Is this true? I guess the rumor..”.

Liana cleared her throat. “The story is long. I'll tell you while eating. You must be hungry because of the long journey.”

Suah nodded and they headed to the restaurant where they had eaten first.

After eating, Suah drags Liana into the bathroom to ask what happened. In the end Liana explained what happened just the outline. Liana didn't want to until all the events had to be told.

Suah felt depressed when she heard it. Suah looked at Liana as if feeling pity.

“I know when you mentioned why you didn't continue your education abroad for the reason your father's company went bankrupt. But I never thought you'd pay with.”.

“Anything I would do to help my father. He has taken good care of me.”

“Then are you not afraid if Damian's biological father takes him away?”

Who's Damian's father? I don't even know

Liana's eyes blurred for a moment and tried to recall the man.

“I'll keep Damian's whereabouts a secret. No one can take it from me.”

“Good. I will always be by your side. We'd better get back now.”

They also returned to the table. As soon as he saw Damian, Suah immediately pinched Damian's cheek.

“You are so cute and handsome at the same time.”

“You've told your aunt to arrive safely?” ask Liana

“Yeah, I notified you via message earlier.”

In the evening, Damian was already in his bed while Liana sat in the living room and was busy looking for job openings through her mobile phone.

Unknowingly, Liana clicked on the official website of the star search. Being a star must have the ability and also an attractive appearance.

Liana was not interested but she tried to scroll down until her eyes caught the job vacancy that she thought was interesting, namely being an assistant artist.
