18. Father and Son

Damian immediately rushed over as the door was knocked from outside. His smile grew as he opened the door. But the next moment the smile disappeared.

“Where is your mother?”

“Mother is not home.”

“If your mother comes home, tell your mother to come home.”

“For what?” ask Damian.

“Currently Luna is in the hospital. Grandpa doesn't want to do this but grandpa has no choice but to ask your mother for help.”

“My book can't help you.”

“Damian, you little boy. Where your manners as a grandson,” said Susi.

“Do you think of me as a grandson? Do you consider my mother your daughter? I don't think so.”

“How dare you. Who raised your mother?”

“Go from here.”

“Damian.”

“Go.”

Damian shouted and closed the door. The little boy sat on the sofa and suddenly felt that his chest hurt.

“Mother.”

Cold sweat appeared on his forehead. The pain caused him to fall onto the sofa. He tried to reach out to his phone to call Liana.

Damian's hands trembled as he pressed on his mother's contact.

“Mother.”

Her mother's number could not be reached. In the end he suppressed Anji's contact.

Damian could not bear the pain as a result of which he lost his consciousness.

Liana opened the car door as soon as she reached the front of her apartment building. He looked up to see his apartment unit. The lights are still on.

Liana took a deep breath. He doesn't know he has to explain it. Gideon waited for Liana to explain.

“She...she is the boss of the mother at work. Mom now has a new job.”

Hearing Liana's explanation, Damian nodded while Anji just smiled at the side.

“This mother and child are amazing. His son introduced me as his teacher. His mother introduced his father as her boss. Father and son are the same. They already know each other's identities but keep their mouths shut.”

“I hugged you but I imagined my mother's face.”

Gideon smiled. He hugged her tightly. Damian's head was buried in his chest.

Damian can feel Gideon's heartbeat and somehow feels safe. He involuntarily fell asleep in Gideon's arms.
