Elemental Gen - Z
Chapter 90's

[Darkness Invasion Arc - #1]

...----------------...

"Dam! You two okay?" henry asked, shaking Araya's body slowly. The girl slowly opened her eyes, then recalled what had really happened.

Araya answered nothing, he sat himself down and looked around.

"This place, so like a ship breaking ..." said Araya in a soft voice. He spreads his view.

"Yes, but thank goodness you two survived. I was so worried earlier. I thought you guys were okay. Our core element is still intact, right?"

Araya just nodded. Not far from where he is, it looks Lucas and the other two colleagues are resting after a difficult struggle.

Araya remembers what happened to the two of them. When the Darkness Swordman attacked with his ultimate skill. The move hit them and caused their combined techniques to separate instantly as the explosion occurred.

The atmosphere became quiet. There was only the sound of the waves there.

"Oh yes, our aircraft engine was damaged because there was a creature ... creature …." Araya said, but he forgot the name of the small creature that had appeared earlier. "What creature, brother?" he asked Lucas that question.

"Gremlin" he answered briefly.

Shortly after, Adli stood up and then ran into the plane.

Maybe he's ready to fix it, that's their guess. It is true that Adli is quite skilled in mechanical engineering. But their guess was wrong. Adli returned with a small radio shortly after he entered.

"Friends! We got a message!" he said with a different tone of anxiety and expression. The other four of his comrades immediately approached towards him.

"What's wrong? I thought you were gonna ask us to help fix the plane." Henry stood next to him. The engine room of the plane was damaged by the Gremlin earlier. Energy is also exhausted because of the drain.

"It was so. But, you guys listen to this ..." after all his comrades got close, he started playing voice messages from the communication device.

Sounds 'nit, nit, nit, nit' but with different pauses. Some are long, some are short. It was a password containing a secret message.

"The headquarters are under attack." chirped Steve after he finished listening carefully. Instantly the expressions of his comrades changed drastically.

"Well?!"

"The area around the headquarters has been colonized by Darkness Swordman. They've been everywhere. The tertiary and secondary members were already overwhelmed facing them. One of the secondary members was also between the human form and the Darkness Swordman. So, the top officials of the organization ordered us to cancel the mission and go straight back to headquarters right now" Steve said at length. Well, he's the greatest at literacy. He can even translate the morse code on the radio in one listen.

"Now too? But the plane was damaged, wasn't it?" Lucas responded. The damage to the plane was quite severe. If repaired, it will certainly take hours, not to mention the aircraft must also be charged energy.

"We can use teleportation to get to the base directly." Steve replied in the same tone.

"Didn't that require a lot of energy? And then surely we will start to help other squads overcome the invasion of Darkness Swordman." this time, Shiroi said. Shiroi's question already represents Araya's mind.

"Well, you're right. But, we have no other choice. Energy business, it can be replenished." Henry explained after seeing Steve who had a bit of difficulty explaining what he was thinking.

...----------------...

Long story short, the primary squads had arrived at the headquarters five minutes after learning the contents of the secret message. Currently, they were in the hangar, although they returned without using the plane.

"Why is there so much paper?" muttered Araya while taking one of the many sheets of paper scattered in the room. On that paper, there is writing.

"Soon leave this place without weapons, or you'll explode along with your base." Henry read the paper. "It's ultimatum!"

Without waiting any longer, Araya threw away the paper she was holding. Then, he immediately ran with his colleagues to find other members.

That ultimatum, surely the Darkness Swordman has come here, Araya thought as she tried to match the quick pace of her friends.

While at the crossroads of the hallway, Araya stopped suddenly. Because at that time he ran the rear, so they did not know that Araya stopped.

A moment later, Araya ran through the passageway she saw earlier. For a moment he forgot his purpose of coming to the headquarters and parted with his comrades without telling first.

A few meters he was walking fast down the dark hallway, Araya found a room. Room whose door is open, but in it dark with dim lighting.

Without a second thought, Araya entered the room.

"Sir Aria!" so surprised was Araya after seeing her senior in such a sorry state. His left hand was broken, and he saw a cable on his shoulder. Not only that, his body was also tightly bound by the rope.

It was finally revealed that his senior was actually a humanoid. Araya tries to remove the rope that binds her body.

"Araya .. "Aria called out to him in a soft voice, she also called him by his real name. "Go from here."

"What's? I can't let you go on like this, brother. I'll help you!" Araya insists on taking off the rope that holds Aria. Although the rope was difficult to remove with bare hands, Araya was still trying.

"No. If you stay here, you will explode with me. "Aria tries to turn her body even at a glance, so that Araya sees what she wants to show.

And Araya saw it. On his back, there was a bomb strapped together with his body. The time on the bomb shows the number 08 :32—in minutes—and still counting down.

Araya speech—terstruck—looks at it.

Who could do this?! Her thought.

"Go Araya. I know, after seeing this, you want to get out of here"

"NO! I'm not leaving! I'll save you, brother!" araya's eyes glazed over. "Shiroi, scissor mode!"

"Ready!" Shiroi responded, then immediately turned some of the transformation tools into the things that Araya wanted.

"Stop one of the cables to deactivate the bomb, Araya." Shiroi. Given that Araya had no experience in defusing bombs at all, so the system took the initiative to help him.

"Which cable?"

"Whatever, just one of them."

On the bomb, there were three cables. Some are red, blue, and yellow. Araya is about to disconnect the cable that is blue—located in the middle.

A second after the cable was disconnected, when the countdown time was reduced by three minutes! Instead of being lost, time is listed as 05:09. That means, the time he has less and less.

"Huh?! How is this, Shiroi?!" of course, the girl panicked to see that what she was doing was not as expected.

"I don't know either."

"That's Araya, leave me. Your friends need your help." Aria's sister spoke again as if she had resigned to her fate.

"But, Aria's sister also needs help. I'll try again!"

"Listen to me, Araya! Your friends need help, especially Kim Dae-Vin! He had almost turned into a Darkness Swordman!" Aria's sister tried to get Araya to leave the place and meet her other colleagues.

Araya was again astonished to hear his senior's words.

Dae-win's? Swordman Darkness? It is impossible …

Unknowingly, her tears melted. He's in a dilemma. If he leaves, his senior will explode with the bomb. But, if he doesn't leave, then Dae-Vin might actually become the Darkness Swordman.
