[Mars Mission Arc - #4]
...----------------...
"Araya, we need to get out of here!" zaaryan's facial expression turned serious. Quickly, he immediately stood up and invited Araya to leave from there as quickly as possible.
Without a second thought, Araya followed him. He tried to align his footsteps with Zaaryan. Without having to look back, it can be felt that the lava was getting more and more and almost managed to drown the land. Even the last place they stood was no longer visible due to covered lava.
"FLEET!" Zaaryan gave a cue to the two of them immediately jumped up. There is a gap separating the land area of three meters.
They both jumped without having to take another shot. Both of Zaaryan's legs had already managed to tread on the opposite land, but..
"Whoa!" Araya did not arrive, he tried not to fall just by relying on his two hands holding on to the mouth of the ravine. The ground he was holding onto was not strong enough, the right could be known from some small rocks that had slipped out of place and into the lava river below them.
"Defend Araya!" Zaaryan turned around, stretched out his right hand to help Araya, while his left hand he used to hold on so as not to fall. Deftly, he immediately grabbed Araya's hand, and immediately pulled her up.
"Well. huh.. Thank goodness I didn't fall. Thank you, yes" while trying to normalize her breathing, Araya thanked him. But, still he was still unable to breathe with relief. As long as they have not been able to get out of this dimension, there are still many things that they have not passed and conquered.
"Yes alike. Don't be happy, Araya. Behold, the land where we had been drowned." looked at the land across, Zaaryan said. Araya looked in the same direction.
Dissipating his tiredness, Zaaryan sat himself next to Araya. Look around them blankly and full of despair. 'It seems like there is no way out anymore', that's the sentence embedded in the minds of the two of them.
GROOAAARR!
The voice sounded clear and echoed throughout that dimension. Suddenly, the two of them looked back, seeing if the one that was coming was approaching them.
"Zaaryan, I have a feeling that we won't be able to easily survive here." unknowingly, Araya said softly. Despite this, Zaaryan could still hear it. He looked at Araya.
"Hey, don't scare me, Araya!"
"Eh? Hmm what did I say?"
Shortly after, the land shook again. The roar was again clearly heard. Araya and Zaaryan walked quickly to a place that felt safer to hide temporarily.
They sat themselves down while hugging their knees. As if they had resigned themselves to their fate, they had run out of ideas to get out of this terrifying dimension. Using teleportation is useless, because they do not know where they are at the moment.
"Zaaryan, what is it? It stinks.." muttered Araya while covering her nose and mouth with her palm.
"You what the hell? I don't smell anything." Zaaryan responded, looking at Araya with a puzzled look, especially after seeing her close her breathing senses. Even when he used the armor, the smell could still be smelled.
"Are you still flu? The smell was so stinging," Araya replied in a different voice. That is, when people talk with their nose closed. His voice was a bit strange and buzzing, right?
They were silent for a moment. Zaaryan tried to look behind the rocks where they were hiding. There's nothing.
"It seems, it is safe Araya" he said not too strong, because it could be the enemy still lurking there. Araya walked behind him. He also did not cover his nose and mouth with his hands.
"I.. Tha-that's.. A snake?!" whispered Araya after seeing a giant snake that was not far from them.
Snakes whose bodies are larger than the trunk of a coconut tree, scaly, and also deep black. His head was so big, his tongue was very long, about four meters.
"Araya, don't let go of your armour." Zaaryan replied in a whisper. Of course to minimize the bad conditions that might happen.
Since then, they were still using armor, not taking it off at all. If removed, it will have a bad impact on their physique.
"Where should we go?" araya asked, slightly turning her head towards Zaaryan. He still doesn't quite understand how to survive in a place like. But, Zaaryan also did not really understand maybe.
"We're teleporting to-"
"Not enough energy for teleportation,"
Not yet had Zaaryan finished the sentence to formulate his plan, Araya had reminded him that their energy was not much. Only thirty-four percent remained. If used for teleportation, it would definitely decrease by ten percent and would be dying for a long time.
CLAMPS!
Whether it was a sound, but for sure, the sound managed to raise the snake and look around.
Araya and Zaaryan were still in place.
"Araya, don't move." whispered as they were stared at by the snake.
"Yes.." Araya replied. Moreover, Araya saw that the small frog had screamed, let alone stand face to face with a giant snake. Araya is also a phobia of reptiles and amphibians.
If observed, the snake is very similar to the ancient snake Titanoboa. Having long, pointed fangs, and a large body, this snake is named after him.
The snake stuck out its tongue, the pungent smell re-smelled.
"However.. What am I supposed to do? Until when should this be? If it moves maybe he will attack." said Araya in his heart, while refraining from vomiting due to the pungent smell.
GROOAAARR!
Not long after, the roar sounded again. The red ground shook again due to his footsteps. It can be ascertained, if the roaring animal is a giant animal that may aggravate the situation.
"Araya, the rare skill of a thousanduuuu!" while pulling Araya's right hand, Zaaryan immediately invited her to run as fast as possible away from the field.
"Zaaryan, why all of a sudden?" still running, Araya asked. It is clear that worse things will happen.
"You don't have a dinosaur-like sound? Maybe he's a T-rex!" zaaryan replied. Maybe because he watched too many dinosaur-themed movies, he became aware of things about the extinct animals.
"Zaaryan, there's a ravine ahead!" Araya said while trying to slow down her footsteps. Not with Zaaryan. He was still running so fast that Araya had trouble stopping his steps.
From a distance, it could be seen glowing orange-colored lava gushing out from within the gorge.
"HITTA!" they both shouted that word, a word commonly used to end a story. But are they really going to end?
To be continued..
...----------------...
It really is going to end, isn't it? I have started actively making novels again. My PAS is done. Just wait for the results.
So, and thank you for faithfully reading the story of the adventures of Araya and friends.
