[Inauguration Exam Arc - #3]
...----------------...
Dae-Vin sits in the meadow. He was already quite tired, already thirty minutes he was walking without rest.
"If you think about it, it's beautiful here. Especially if there is him, it must be more beautiful." he thought while imagining himself playing under the rainbow along with someone he liked. What's he thinking? Not usually.
The mat! The mat! The mat! The mat!
"Rain?"
There were a few drops of water hitting him. Dae-Vin looks up at the sky. The distance was still bright as before there was not even a lump of cloud.
"The sky is bright, there are no clouds. Is it really raining?" inner Dae-Vin feels like something is strange. It rained on a clear day with no clouds at all.
"This water doesn't seem to be water descending from the sky. This. water from another water element controller!" Dae-Vin realizes that he is not alone. There are others who are there too.
Cretek! The sound of a tree branch being broken by being trampled.
Kim Dae-Vin turned his head back, there was no one in sight. But there really is a person, that person is hiding. Dae-Vin deliberately doesn't yell so he doesn't run. Dae-Vin stood up, then walked towards the source of the voice earlier with a step that was completely silent.
"Eh? Disappear where he is?" ask someone in a quiet voice. He watches Kim Dae-Vin from behind a big tree. But, he doesn't know that Dae-Vin is behind him.
"Ehem!" Dae-Vin cleared his throat right behind the man.
After realizing Dae-Vin's whereabouts behind him, he immediately turned around.
"Yeah! You're a surprise." said the man. She was a girl of about eighteen years old, blond-haired who was braided in two, her eyeballs were bright blue. He wears an armband that reads 'Xela' and also the emblem of the European element organization, as well as a picture of the Dutch flag.
"Who started first?" dae-vin asked with a cold look and tone, he used to deal with strangers.
"Hehe. Oh yeah, you must be from an Asian element organization huh?" he asked after apologizing, also showing off a faint smile.
"Do you know why you ask?" reply Dae-Vin, he doesn't like pleasantries, to the point only.
"You are not polite. I just want to get acquainted. My name is Xela, from the Netherlands. Greetings know." he introduced himself as he extended his right hand to shake his hand.
"Kim Dae-Vin, South Korea. Salken." reply Dae-Vin briefly without shaking hands with Xela. Xela pouted because she felt unappreciated.
"It's freezing for him.. Is he not interested in me? Hmm. aha! I have an idea." Xela said inwardly as she thought of a plan so that Dae-Vin would not be so indifferent to her. He grinned after getting a plan that like his would be good.
"Hey, you're looking for this, aren't you?" xela asked after taking something out of her pocket, then showed it to Dae-Vin. That thing..
"That's right, the emerald we were looking for" Dae-Vin said inwardly after staring at the object that Xela showed. The emerald was small and green in color, he carried it.
"Yes, we need that. Please give it." said Dae-Vin. After which, Xela immediately grasped the emerald tightly, then hid it behind her body.
"Eits, it's not that easy. There was a condition." said Xela, she smiled again, as if she had won.
"Say what the conditions are,"
"The condition is, you have to compete with me. If you win, I'll give you this emerald, and if you lose, you'll be.."
"Alright, I agree! Not long enough!" dae-vin says, he agrees without thinking about the consequences if he loses.
"Eh? He just agrees? I mustn't waste this opportunity. I'll play with handsome men." Inner Xela while grinning.
"Whatever happens, I can't lose!" inwardly, Dae-Vin is determined to win and obtain the emerald so that he can quickly meet his friends, precisely the most junior member of their team.
...----------------...
After walking quite a distance, Araya and Hanny finally arrived near the river. The river is not too big with a stream that is not too swift, the water is very clear because it is not contaminated by chemicals. So clear, the bottom of the river was clearly visible.
"Araya, you said you were tired, right? You better rest here first. I'm gonna check that out" Hanny said before she returned to walk through the woods.
"Okey, don't take it long" said Araya, she was quite tired, so Hanny asked her to take a break.
It had been over fifteen minutes for Araya to wait there, but Hanny never returned. He was getting bored and a little sleepy. The atmosphere is very calm and comfortable there. There was only the sound of river currents being heard clearly, the air was very cool and fresh.
Not long after, there was the sound of someone's footsteps sounding fast. That guy is running. In addition to the footsteps that sounded fast, there was also the sound of the roar of wild animals, whether they were tigers, lions, leopards, and other similar animals.
From a distance, he saw two people
each man and woman was running, and behind them was a lion chasing them. They ran fast towards Araya!
"LET'S RUN!!" the man shouted as he ran towards Araya wagging his hand, and asked him to run so as not to be caught by the lion not far from them.
Without a second thought, Araya ran with them. Actually he could have used the power of teleportation to move places without having to waste energy, but he did not have the heart to leave those two people.
"I'm tired. hah..huh.." Araya stopped running, she leaned over her body while trying to normalize her breathing.
"Hey, what are you doing, son? He's already behind you!" said the man while pointing briefly at his back. When Araya looked back, it was true, there was a lioness preparing to pounce on the three of them.
In the end, the two of them both walked towards the back of Araya to protect her.
"Hey, do you think he's angry?" ask the man to his girlfriend who is standing next to him.
"Why are you asking? It's obvious he's angry. We were in their territory." the woman replied in a slightly upset tone.
Ngaum!
The lion roared, taking a step to pounce on them.
"Revelation!" the man shouted while pushing Araya's body so as not to be hit by the lion. As a result, Araya was under that person's body. The lion bit and clawed at the man's back. But strangely, he did not feel the slightest pain, there was no blood coming out of his body, not a single drop was there.
"Retainer Root!" Before things got worse, the woman used the power of the 'Nature Element' element to prevent the movement of the lion. Retainer Root which means root retaining. He used that technique to tie the two hind legs of the lion.
"Waah, the element of nature." said Araya inwardly after witnessing the use of the element of nature before his own eyes.
After performing the technique, the lion became pulled slightly back, and so could not move freely. After that, the man stood up and was about to draw his sword.
"It's time to finish this," as he got up, the man said.
TCINGS!
The sound of a sword being pulled out from its sheath.
"Wait!" yelled Araya to prevent the intention of the man. He knows what he means. After that, the men stared at him.
"remove! You could get hurt, "the man asked Araya to get out of his way.
"Don't hurt him!" said Araya while still standing in front of that person. The two people were still staring at Araya.
"Don't kill him! He's an animal that's becoming endangered." continued Araya.
"Yes, he's right. You better not act arbitrarily" said the woman who used the element of nature earlier, she supported Araya's opinion. He also put on a cold look for the man.
"Hey, why are you so angry?" ask the man while putting his sword back in.
"Think of it yourself." retorted the woman. He was standing right in front of the lion that kept roaring.
To be continued..
