61. First Day

Orion, George and Matilda resigned in the early afternoon of the Maghrib. Aruna looked at the three people she loved with teary eyes. The Kautsar who stood beside Aruna could only stare at the interaction of the four of them with a smile.

“ Kok nangis sih Nak..,” Matilda said as she pinched Aruna's cheek gently.

“ I'm not crying..,” said Aruna fast to make Orion and George laugh.

“ We can still meet again right..” said George in between his laughter.

“ Right. Maybe indeed in the future We will not visit you too often Nak.” Orion said while hugging Aruna tightly.

“ How to Well...?” aruna asked as she looked up to look at her father.

“ There is already a Kautsar who nemenin and take care of you. So we are not anxious anymore...,” Orion said while glancing at the Kautsar.

“ Daddy, Om and Auntie don't have to worry. God willing I will take good care of Aruna.” said Kautsar steady.

Their laughter stopped when a car stopped in front of the house. Orion, George and Matilda rushed into the car which quickly darted away from the place.

After performing the kabul ijab, Aruna and Kautsar lived together in a house prepared by Ahmad. While the parents of the bride returned to Jakarta the day after Ijab kabul.

Despite living in the same house, Aruna and Kautsar sleep in different rooms. This was in accordance with their agreement before marriage. Kautsar and Aruna agree to sleep separately while trying to understand each other's character. They also agreed that Aruna would continue to study until completion while Kautsar worked as usual.

That morning the Kautsar sat waiting for Aruna in the living room. Occasionally he glanced at the clock that was coiled around his wrist. His gaze was fixed on the door of Aruna's room that opened and showed the figure of Aruna who was ready to go to college.

“ Kok tumben jam this new nongol Run..?” ask Kautsar for a stale base.

“ Nih I'm making sweet tea for you. But it's cold.” said Kautsar while offering a glass of warm sweet tea to Aruna.

“ Equally. Oh yes, this is money for household needs for a month. You hold it...” Kautsar said as he handed Aruna a brown envelope with money.

“ What money..?” asked Aruna for doubt about her own hearing.

“ Money monthly...,” sahut Kautsar fast.

“ I don't want...,” says Aruna.

“ Lho why...?” ask Kautsar not understand.

“ Anyway I don't want to. Yes, I went to college first. It's late..” said Aruna as she rushed out of the house and left the Kautsar just like that.

“ Wait Run, I anterin You yes..!” call Kautsar but be ignored by Aruna.

The Kautsar rushed after Aruna who stepped out of the house quickly. Kautsar manages to catch up with Aruna. He stopped his bike next to Aruna and handed Aruna a helmet.

“ Up...,” Kautsar command.

“ But I want to go up...,” Aruna's speech is cut off.

A moment later Kautsar drove his motorbike quickly to make Aruna jumped in shock and forced to grip tightly his jacket. Kautsar seemed to smile with satisfaction when he found out that Aruna was scared as he rode his motorcycle at a fast speed.

Ria laughed back and forth as Aruna told her what happened this morning.

“ How to laugh Ri, it's funny huh..?” asked Aruna annoyed.

“ Geez Aruna. It turns out you are very innocent. You know why Kautsar gave Lo money earlier..?” asked Ria after her laughter subsided.

“ Where I know...,” says Aruna.

“ Noisy Lo...,” said Aruna with a blushing face to make Ria laugh harder.

Aruna came out of the room to get some drinking water. While in the kitchen Aruna saw a shadow passing next to the house. Aruna sharpened her vision and was convinced that it was a human shadow.

Aruna hurriedly grabbed the broomstick and grasped it tightly. Slowly he approached the person who was ducking as if he was looking for something and then prepared to hit him. While counting in his heart Aruna swung the broomstick of the kneecap to the person's back and....

Kautsar smiled and took Aruna out to buy dinner. They chose chicken satay as their dinner menu.

“ Sorry for my attitude this morning. I'm confused when you give me money. I don't mean to ngeremehin your gift you know.” said Aruna suddenly to make Kautsar smile.

“ Yes gapapa. I'm not angry. That money is the living of Me for You. You can also use it for your personal needs. If you say less yes..,” says Kautsar.

“ But Papa still gives me money for my personal needs. How about if we just joint venture for joint production.?” ask Aruna carefully.

Aruna and Kautsar eat chicken satay plus lontong with ravenous conversation. It was then that Aruna saw the figure of a subtle creature standing behind the Kautsar while looking at him blankly. Aruna let out a long sigh of having to come back in contact with life in another dimension.
