The days of Arka and Diana were as normal as any other little family. In the morning, I went to the office and
back home to the Maghrib. Diana who decides the resigan from her job will concern herself with Aruna. While Parmin and Nurida will come to help Diana take care of the house and cook every day then they return to her house in the afternoon.
Usually after Parmin and Nurida come home, Diana will take Aruna to sit on the living room sofa to wait
arka's homecoming. But the mood for the afternoon was a little different than usual. During a month of living in the house just this time Aruna looks restless.
“ Why Honey, kok daritadi fussed anyway. Mama is tired of your sling that is getting heavy, but you do not want to be put on the sofa.” said Diana as she looked at Aruna with a loving gaze.
“ Enngghh..., ennggghh...,” said Aruna as if to understand Diana's complaint.
“ Aruna why, pain yes. What pain, stomach or head..?” diana asked as she touched Aruna's stomach and head alternately.
It was then that Diana suddenly felt the wind blow so hard that it flew window curtains and tablecloths. Even the mini display on top of the closet fell to the floor and fragments scattered on the floor. Diana immediately tightened her embrace as she recollected to calm down Aruna who was crying in surprise. Every now and then Diana stared out the window to look at the dark and gripping night sky while unceasingly recollecting.
“ Laa haula wala quwwata ilaa billahil aliyyil adzim. Don't be afraid, son, Mama's here with you. Mama will not let you be alone like Mama used to.”, said Diana as she closed her eyes.
Diana recalled back when she was still living in an orphanage. Diana had to go through her fear alone when the rain was accompanied by lightning and a great wind came. Usually Diana will curl up in the corner of the room not even infrequently Diana had to entertain friends as long as the fear of the house they occupy will collapse in the wind.
Shortly afterwards Diana opened her eyes when she felt the strong wind that had been blowing had subsided. He circulated his gaze to the corner of the house to make sure that none of them were damaged by the big wind.
Diana frowned when she saw the condition of the house was fine. He also stared at the mini display nanar that he saw destroyed earlier was actually perched sweetly on top of the closet in one piece. Diana also found the window curtains that had been scattered as well as tablecloths that flew somewhere still in their respective places and in the same condition as before.
“ Kok everything is still intact, outside also not raining. Continues the wind from where the rich storm came..?” diana murmured while looking to the right and to the left.
While Diana was still in a state of confusion, Diana suddenly heard a loud noise from the inside of her house as if she was having a party. Diana ventured into the living room out of curiosity about what she had heard earlier. But when Diana arrived at the doorway of the middle room, the voice suddenly disappeared. Diana who felt her neck thicken soon returned to the living room while tightening her embrace on Aruna.
As Diana sat back on the sofa, suddenly the voice came back to sound even clearer. Diana who felt challenged was finally back to come to the origin of the voice.
Diana's two eyes rounded as she looked at the many people in the central room. Those who are mostly Caucasian dressed as colonial-era clothes seem to be dancing to the music of life performed by musicians in the corner of the room. Diana was pecking at the spot when some people among the ‘thoule’ people turned to her with a sharp gaze.
Diana retreated with a trembling body. I don't know why Diana felt that their gazes were so hostile. Even one of them pointed at Aruna and it scared Diana if they would hurt Aruna.
Diana's steps came to a halt when a hand touched her shoulder, feeling cold and heavy. Diana turned her head slowly and found the bule man behind her head smiling. The man's face was pale as if there was no blood flowing through his body. Although afraid Diana tried to smile but only for a moment because the next second Diana fell unconscious because of the power to resist fear.
Diana awoke to the touch of a warm hand on her cheek accompanied by the sound of Arka calling her name repeatedly. Diana opened her eyes slowly and found Arka in front of her.
“ Arch...,” call Diana shrivelled.
“ Alhamdulillah.., You finally woke up too Dear. Sleeping or fainting anyway, built up from where you did not wake up too.” said Arka with a smile.
“ This where. Aruna...., where is Aruna..?” diana asked as she tried to get up from her sleep.
“ Aruna is next to you again ngeliatin You tuh..,” said Arka quickly to make Diana turn and surprised.
How not. Currently Diana was on the bed with Aruna who seemed to be playing beside her while holding the edge of the blouse worn by Diana.
“ Aruna must have been writhing Mama sleep, so she tried to wake you up but unfortunately her efforts failed..” said Arka with a laugh.
“ Pas I came home You are already here Kok Di, again sleeping under Aruna..,” said Arka while reaching for Aruna and kissed her cheeks with anxiety.
“ Sleep, but I'm not sleeping Ka. I fainted because I was afraid of squirming ghosts in the living room.”, Diana said while blocking Arka's hand.
“ You say what the hell Honey, You dream times. So if you want Maghrib do not sleep, pamali. The proof is that you rep-repan right..,” said Arka and then get out of bed while holding Aruna.
“ Rep-repan is what Ka..?” ask Diana.
“ Rep-repan the overlap. The feeling between conscious and unconscious is approached by a ghost or a subtle creature. Usually experienced at bedtime or before the Maghrib rich gini..,” said Arka possessed by Diana.
“ This is not Maghrib Ka..?” diana asked in disbelief as she followed Arka who stepped out of the room.
“ Not yet, any minute..,” says Arka.
“ But the sky was very dark Ka..,” said Diana did not want to lose.
“ Dear already yes. Look out, the sun just set and the sky is still bright. You are tired, so sleep before the Maghrib. But do not sleep if you want Maghrib yes sweetheart, ga
fine...,” said Arka while sitting on the sofa.
Arka's speech made Diana peck on the spot while staring out the window. He was surprised to see the dim atmosphere outside the house sign of twilight had just arrived. Diana looked around the room as if
lookingfor something.
“ Find what...?” ask Arka.
“ Music player...,” said Diana quickly then sat down next to Arka.
Hearing Diana's reply made Arka shake her head. Arka considers if Diana was still affected by her dream earlier. While Diana was sure if what she saw and experienced earlier was not a dream.
When Diana opened her mouth to tell what she had experienced earlier, the Maghrib echoed. Arka also handed over Aruna to Diana because she had to prepare for Maghrib prayer congregation in musholla.
“ Papa pray Magrib first yes, Aruna same Mama at home.” said Arka while kissing the cheeks of Diana and Aruna alternately then move to the room to take the prayer.
Diana simply stared at Arka's back away while tightening her arms at Aruna. Then Diana looked at Aruna's eyes while asking.
“ What We saw and experienced earlier was not a dream, dear. It's real right..?” diana asked while shaking Aruna's body until the tiny baby laughed.
Diana seemed to let out a long sigh because she realized Aruna would not be able to answer her question earlier. Diana looked back at Aruna because she remembered the baby did not cry at all when she saw the sighting of a collection of ghosts that were partying earlier. Somehow Diana felt her nape thickened again when she saw Aruna smiling meaningfully towards the corner of the room as if she was looking at someone there.
“ Aruna see what Honey, what's there..?” ask Diana lirih.
Aruna did not answer but just pointed to the corner of the room with her tiny hands.
