Destined Together

A tree of memories.

Her mom and dad are attending an alumni event with their high school friends.

There were only three people in the house. Lia, her grandmother, and Anie's aunt.

Feeling bored at home, Lia tries to out walk the street in her grandmother's neighborhood.

Lia was sitting on a swing spot hanging on a large tree whose leaves were very dense. Arriving, her grandmother approached her and sat in a long chair not far from Lia's swing.

"You're happy with this swinging swing huh?" ask grandma Lia.

"Ah, yes, grandma. Lia was bored in the room constantly." replied Lia.

"Grandmother's granddaughter is big now" said her grandmother again.

Again, Lia was confused by what her grandmother said. The more strange the day. But, Lia tried to ignore him and still think postively.

"Look at the tree next to you" said his grandmother.

Lia looked at the tree and found a number of words. There were two people's names engraved clearly on the bark of that tree. The engraved names are 'Dahlia' and 'Sanjaya' and are surrounded by heart-carved shapes around the tree. That name was the name of Lia's grandmother and her grandfather.

"Who carved this Grandma?" ask Lia.

"First, when your grandmother and grandfather were still dating we often met in this tree. There was no home at that time. This used to be a very beautiful park. This is where the time when your grandmother and grandfather let go of longing when they have not met." explained his grandmother.

Lia was shocked by what her grandmother had told her. Suddenly, it crossed his mind about Andra. Again and again, Lia missed Andra. Seeing the tree and hearing what her grandmother told her, Lia remembered the place she had been to with Andra.

"Nekk.." call Lia.

"Yes dear." replied his grandmother.

"May Lia ask?" ask Lia.

"certain. Why not." said his grandmother.

"Of course it is." replied his grandmother.

"Has grandma ever been separated from grandpa before?" ask Lia again.

"Earlier. At that time my grandmother's mother tried to match my grandmother with someone else." her grandmother replied.

"Then what happened?" ask Lia.

"But destiny says something else. People who want to be betrothed to grandma quarrel with grandma's father because of one big problem. And the match was canceled in an instant." explained his grandmother.

"What about grandpa?" ask Lia.

"Yes, again fate says something else. Not accidentally your grandfather met his grandmother's father in a company. Your grandfather worked in the company of my grandmother's father and became a favorite son of my grandmother's father. So, we got married and married." his grandmother replied.

"Did grandma's dad never see Grandpa before?" ask Lia.

"No. Because at that time grandma was dating quietly." replied Lia's grandmother.

"Oh that." cried Lia.

Her grandmother smiled at Lia. And somehow seeing her grandmother smile, Lia felt that her smile was very different from usual.

His grandmother went into the house while he sat on the swing by the tree.

Lia picked up a sharp pebble and carved her name and Andra on the big tree. Hopefully someday he and Andra will also be destined together like his grandmother and grandfather.

When he arrived, he remembered his grandmother again. His grandmother was old enough and the pain began to invade his grandmother's body. Given that, it made Lia anxious.
