196. Smell Trace

Three days after Elvira almost committed suicide, Rex came to visit the house of Ustadz Akbar. At that time Rex accidentally came with Gama.

Suddenly Rex heard the sound of objects being dragged in the distance. The sound was getting closer and closer to where Rex was. Rex decided to hide behind the stone altar to see who had come.

From his hiding place Rex saw the figure of a large monitor lizard seem to step in. The body of the monitor lizard is black and decorated with yellowish patterns all over the body to the tail. Rex believes that the reptile has an important role in his colony because there is a small crown on the head of the monitor lizard.

After being in the middle of the room, the shape of the monitor lizard slowly changed into a mature male figure. Rex widened his eyes when he recognized who the man before him was.

" Halim's. It turned out that he was still alive even he and Elvira lived in the same place. This explains why Elvira is always scared. Apparently in addition to getting into Elvira's dream, Halim was also watching and staying with Elvira.

Rex comes out of his hiding place after making sure Halim doesn't come back for a long time. Then Rex observed the cave wall where Halim swiped his body and stretched out his hand to touch the trail that Halim had left.

Rex frowned as he touched the wall of the cave. Feels wet slimy and smells a little fishy.

Then Rex picked a leaf from a plant that grew on the wall of the cave. With that leaf Rex took that smelling slime and placed it on the palm of the hand.

Afterwards Rex closed his eyes while thinking. A moment later Rex has returned to the real world in Elvira's room.

Rex said hamdalah while taking a deep breath. After that, he opened the door to the room. He smiled when he saw ustadz Akbar and Gama standing behind the door.

" Lo Gapapa is it Rex...?" ask Gama.

" Thank God, I am gapapa..," Rex said with a smile.

" Alhamdulillah.," said ustadz Akbar and Gama together.

" Well, what the hell did you bring...?" ask Gama.

" It's something I want to investigate Gam first. Hopefully we can find a lead from here." Rex said.

" How about Elvira Mas Rex...?" ask ustadz Akbar.
