179. Hints From Nyai

Ustadz Akbar soon followed Elvira to Bandung. He gets information about Elvira's whereabouts from the school where Elvira teaches.

Ustadz Akbar arrives at the hotel where Elvira is staying at nine in the morning, much earlier than Rex.

When Ustadz Akbar asked about Elvira to the receptionist, they said that Elvira and her colleagues were escorting the students to Lembang.

" What time are they back...?" ask ustadz Akbar.

" We don't know, sir. But usually the people who visit there return before the Maghrib.

After putting his bag in the room, Ustadz Akbar headed to the park. He's trying to get in touch with Rex. Many times tried but Rex did not respond to the call of the ustadz.

Ustadz Akbar's conjecture is correct. Rex did get a new order and had to finish the task later in the afternoon. Therefore, the departure of Rex to Bandung was delayed.

After performing Maghrib prayers, Ustadz Akbar rushed to the hotel lobby. There he saw a group of students from Junior High where Elvira was teaching just getting off the bus.

Ustadz Akbar smiled when he saw Elvira among them. He approached Elvira and greeted her.

" Assalamualaikum, good night, Miss Elvira..," said Ustadz Akbar kindly to make the eyes of Elvira sparkle.

" Alaikumsalam Pakde..," said Elvira enthusiastically.

" Are you busy...?" ask ustadz Akbar while observing the students.

" After this break, so I'm free from duty for a while. When did Pakde get here...?" ask Elvira.

Rex came to the hotel in the early hours. Ustadz Akbar deliberately waited for him in the hotel lobby because he could not wait to tell everything.

" Peace without any conditions ?. That's impossible Ustadz..," Rex said.

" I also think like that. But what else do you want, Rex. Moreover, Elvira Keliatannya very sure as he said that..," said ustadz Akbar.

Rex pensively for a moment then stepped following Ustadz Akbar who entered the elevator.

" We live in a single room, why not Mas Rex...?" ask ustadz Akbar while opening the door of his room.

" Thank God, gapapa Ustadz. I don't mind at all because I used to share a room with friends in the unit." Rex said with a smile.

" Thank God, I'm so glad to hear it. Now Mas Rex please clean up first. I telephoned the room service to deliver dinner for Mas Rex." said Ustadz Akbar.

" Okay, thanks Ustadz.." said Rex as he rushed into the bathroom.

After finishing cleaning himself and changing clothes, Rex came out to meet ustadz Akbar. But he saw ustadz Akbar sleeping on the bed. Unable to wake her up, Rex chose to sit on the sofa while straightening his legs.

Rex looked to the side and saw a serving of satay and lontong presented on the table. Rex was sure if it was reserved for him. Greedily Rex ate the satay and lontong while staring around the room.

After finishing Rex stepped towards the window to see the situation outside the room. In the dim night Rex can enjoy the beautiful view of the city. After being satisfied to admire the beauty of the scenery outside the room, Rex turned his body to return to the sofa because he wanted to rest.

But Rex undoes his intention because he sees the shadow Nyai Hadini flashed quickly behind the trees. Rex's heart was beating fast and it made him uncomfortable.

" A sign of what this is. Why did Nyai Hadini show himself there." muttered Rex while watching the greatness of the shadow of Nyai in a clingy manner.

After waiting for a while and sure nothing bad will happen, Rex continued his steps towards the sofa.

Then Rex laid down his body and slowly began to fall asleep. Not long before Rex closed his eyes, Rex's sneers heard Nyai's humming voice. It was loud and almost inaudible. But make Rex humming it sounds clear.

Rex reluctantly opened his eyes and sat on the sofa waiting for something. Rex seemed unable to resist sleepiness but he kept trying to stay awake.

Suddenly Rex heard a woman's voice whispering in his ear.

" Be careful Rex. There is an enemy in the blanket." said the woman's voice reminded.

Rex just smiled at Nyai's words.
