15. Farewell

During the final period of the school year, Rex and Gama cheered happily because they could graduate with good grades. Even both of them are included in the top ten list of outstanding students in Junior High and graduated with satisfactory grades. Rex ranked third while Gama ranked ninth out of ten outstanding students.

Rex and Gama repeatedly said hamdalah because they did not expect to graduate with a grade above the school average.

" Thank God. After this go to Rex...?" ask Gama.

" The plan is to enter the Technical School in Central Jakarta Gam. Just register and just wait for news..," said Rex.

For a moment the atmosphere around Rex and Gama became silent. The two teenagers were silent because they did not know what to say.Both did not expect to have to separate very long distances. That means their dream to spend adolescence together was extinct already.

Without them realizing now they were walking side by side in silence. They just stepped without direction as if they were reminiscing about their togetherness that somehow could happen again.

Apparently Gama Tempo's speech today is not nonsense. That was evident when Gondo and Mira came to Ramon's house to say goodbye.

" So you want to go to Riau Gon...?" ask Ramon.

Gondo and Mira smiled at Ramon's words. They are delighted that their decision is supported by the Ramon family.

Everyone in the room was moved to see Ramon and Gondo hugging each other. They did not expect that the inner bond between the two adult men was so strong.

That day Ramon and his family drove Gondo and his family to Soekarno-Hatta airport. The sad faces of Rex and Gama dominated the separation of the two families. The two are seen sitting very close as if worried about not being able to meet again later.

" Don't forget to take good care of yourself. Don't be emotional, don't be psyched, don't be handsome because you're not necessarily the most handsome Lo there." Rex says.

The chatter of Rex and Gama made Lilian who sat not far from them laugh out loud to make everyone look at her.

" It's funny anyway. What are they talking about...?" ask Mira who is no less curious than Lanni.

Lilian told me what Rex and Gama had said. Everyone laughs while Rex and Gama appear to bend their faces while simultaneously shouting Lilian's name.

" Sister Liaannn...!" call Rex and Gama loud while chasing Lilian who has run away from the two teenagers.

Ramon and Gondo and their families also laughed to see the funny behavior of Lilian, Rex and Gama.
