162. Picked up Zada

When Rex receives word that Zada's killer has been caught, he goes to Cirebon.

Upon arriving in Cirebon, Rex went straight to the police station to meet Briptu Bara. There he was taken to meet Tiara who was already in a holding cell.

" There, Captain." said Briptu Bara, pointing at Tiara, who was pacing in the holding cell.

Rex nodded then moved away from the holding cell. Then Rex asked permission to speak to Tiara in one eye. Briptu Bara nodded and asked his partner to take Tiara to the interrogation room.

When taken to the room Tiara seemed to nag endlessly to make the police upset.

" Stop talking because none of your talk is proven. Where's the brother you said was a member of the House of Representatives, where's the in-law you said was a police officer ?. No one comes because they don't care about you. If I were them, I'd do the same thing because you don't deserve attention...!" a policeman said that he made Tiara speechless.

Rex looked over as the door opened. Just then Rex clenched his hands in annoyance at Tiara's arrogant demeanor.

Reluctantly Tiara sat in front of Rex in a condition where both hands were tied.

" This girl is raging and hurting other people sir. So as not to endanger others, we had to tie him up" said the police.

" Yes Sir, I understand.., " said Rex quickly.

Then Rex starts asking what was the reason Tiara killed Zada. At that time Briptu Bara was also present to record some information.

" I'm Zada's cousin. You remember Zada, don't you...?" tanya Rex opened the conversation.

" Yes, I know. Why the...?" tanya Tiara was sharp enough to make Rex a little furious.

" If so, I'll just go straight. Why did you kill Zada...?" rex asked as he looked at Tiara fixedly to the surprise of the girl.

" This is sane or not. I know Zada because he lives in the house of my Boyfriend's parents. All I know is that Zada died in an accident, but why did I kill Zada...?!" tiara said loudly.

" Don't yell because my ears are deaf !. You just tell me why you killed Zada...!" rex said firmly.

" What the hell is this, Mr. Police. Who is he?, why did he force me to admit something I didn't do...?" tiara asked as she turned towards Briptu Bara.

" Answer the Tiara. If you are honest, the punishment will be lighter. If you're not honest, I can't help you later. Remember yes, other cases are still waiting so you do not have much behavior if you can not stay in prison for a long time..," said Briptu Bara casually.

Hearing Briptu Bara's words made Tiara aware that she was alone now. Arini, who he hoped would help him, left him.

" I hate Zada because he made Andra's attention divided. I am upset because Andra always put Zada's interests before mine when Zada is not who he is...! " said Tiara.

Tiara's words made Rex and Briptu Bara stare at each other for a moment. It turns out that Zada's motive for murder was only jealousy.

" Then how did you get to know Tako and work with him to kidnap Zada...?" ask Rex curiously.

" I didn't meet Om Tako in front of Aunt Arini's house. That time he again observed Zada from afar. He claims to be Zada's stepfather. Om Tako said he had long wanted to meet Zada but could not because it was always hindered by Aunt Arini and her Husband..," said Tiara Lirih.

" So on...?" ask Rex impatiently.

" Om Tako asked for my help to bring him to Zada. He wants to bring Zada home. I thought by helping Om Tako I could get rid of Zada so I helped him by setting up a house for them to meet.

" You know what Tako did to Zada...?" tanya Briptu Bara's.

" I don't know. What is he doing...?" ask Tiara.

" Tako almost raped*s*Zada, so Zada ran away from Tako's block..," Rex said to Tiara's surprise.

" I think Zada ran away because he didn't want to see his stepfather. So while wriggling him on the side of the road I reflexively hit him and then run away leaving him just like that. I don't know if he's dead. I think Om Tako will try him later..," said Tiara with a trembling voice.

" I'm done with Briptu Bara..," said Rex, standing up to make Briptu Bara confused.

" Is the Captain sure and unwilling to follow his trial later...?" tanya Briptu Bara's.

" I just want to know why I killed Zada. My promise to drag Zada's killer to prison has been fulfilled. How long the sentence is given is no longer my business. Moreover, I heard he was also involved with other crimes. I'm sure the police must have a way to prove the crime that was covered up." Rex said with a smile.

" Yes Captain. I promise I will reveal everything until Tiara can not kelit again later..," said Briptu Bara.

" Thank you, I believe in you. I say yes because tomorrow immediately back to Jakarta," Rex said while shaking the hand of Briptu Bara tightly.

" Together, be careful in the way of the Captain.", Briptu Bara said with a smile.

Rex nodded then rushed out of the room leaving Tiara still crying.

That night Rex decided to stay at Grandma's house. Rex deliberately used a Taxi and asked the taxi driver to pass through Karsih's house while heading to the grandmother's house.

From inside the Taxi Rex observed the road that began to be quiet with a riled up feeling.

" Stop a minute sir..," pinta Rex.

" Here is Sir...?" ask the taxi driver.

" Yes, why sir...?" ask Rex.

" Mmm.., gapapa anyway. It's just dark and lonely here, rarely people who pass by here. I'm afraid we've been robbed sir..," said the Taxi driver.

" God willing, we are safe, sir. Don't you forget that I'm a soldier...?" rex asked while patting his chest.

The taxi driver turned his head and smiled as if he had just realized that the passenger was a soldier complete with his uniform. That means he doesn't have to worry anymore.

Then Rex got out of the taxi. He stepped slowly towards Karsih's pitch-black house while looking to the right and left to search for Karsih's whereabouts.

It was then that Rex saw residents crowded around the figure of Karsih lying dying on the porch of his house. Both eyes of Karsih bought upwards as if he was looking at something. His mouth was rummaging indistinctly with his hands outstretched upwards as if he wanted to touch something.

From where he stood Rex saw that Zada's spirit was holding Karsih's head. Rex knew that Zada's spirit had come to pick up the adoptive mother. As if realizing Rex's presence around him, Zada's spirit turned towards Rex and smiled sweetly.

" Kasian Mom, she's alone and lonely. I came to pick her up.." said Zada's spirit that only Rex could hear.

Rex nodded and saw that Zada's spirit welcomed Karsih's hand and clasped him tightly.

A suffocating voice sounded from Karsih's mouth. All residents also helped guide Karsih to say the word shahadah. Although with great difficulty finally Karsih can follow the words of the citizens. And when his words ended Karsih's life was lost.

Zada's spirit smiled as he managed to help Karsih get off his body.

" Thank you Rex..," said the spirits of Zada and Karsih at the same time and darted into the sky and disappeared into the darkness of the night.

" Together..," muttered Rex with a choked voice.

Rex let go of the spirits of Zada and Karsih with a smile. At that time Rex realized that Zada was a good girl. Even though Karsih had hurt him, Zada still loved him and returned Karsih's love to him.

After seeing Karsih's body taken care of as it should be by the residents, Rex continued his journey to the grandmother's house.
