172. Watching Ari

Ramon and his family were in a restaurant for lunch. They deliberately made an appointment to meet there after Lilian checked her pregnancy.

When Rex answered the phone from Elvira earlier, everyone knew that Rex was talking to a woman. The woman's tone sounded panicked and was clearly heard even though Rex did not activate the speaker phone. Hence the conversation of Rex and the woman also sounded and made her family curious.

Rex tried to be calm. He tried to ignore the strange look of his family by putting his cell phone in his pocket.

Despite trying to calm down, Rex eventually lost as well. He saw Lanni, Lilian, Ramon and Gama looking at him.

" Why do you think I'm rich...?" ask Rex pretending he doesn't know.

" Who's the telephon...? " ask Lanni.

" Temen..," said Rex quickly.

" His name...?" ask Lilian.

" Elvira..," said Rex reluctantly but made his family look at each other with a smile.

" He panicked very much. Don't-don't-don't you have her pregnant, huh...?" asked Gama while staring fixedly at Rex.

Instead of answering, Rex threw a piece of chicken thigh at Gama. Because it was too late to avoid, as a result of the spices in the chicken pieces hit the clothes of Gama and it made Lilian snort annoyed.

" Summerxxx...!" lillian said in a stifled voice.

" Oops, sorry. Husband Brother is starting. So have a mouth don't be too creative. Pake said I'm pregnant with everyone's child, '" Rex said casually as he continued his delayed lunch.

Hearing Rex's words made Gama and Lilian look upset. Before the war Baratha Yudha took place at the dinner table, Ramon rushed to break up.

" You mean Elvira's an orphanage kid...?" ask Lanni.

" I can't tell you now, Mom. We'll talk at home. Now I have to go back to the office first." Rex said as he glanced at the clock that was coiled around his wrist.

Lanni nodded. He realized, as a Rex soldier was indeed required to be on time. Therefore Lanni let Rex go first.

" The girl's care is not too special for Rex..," Lilian said suddenly.

" Why do you know Honey...?" ask Gama.

" Feeling aja.," said Lilian while shaking her shoulder.

" But from what's not special and not important it could be something. For example you are the same Gama.," said Lanni, staring at Lilian and Gama alternately.

" If that's the exception, ma'am" said Gama in self-defense.

" The time ?. Now if you want to be honest, surely between the two of you no one ever thought if you would mate, fall in love then get married and now almost have children. Aren't you...?" ask Lanni.

Lilian and Gama stared at each other for a moment then smiled shyly.

" Yes Ma'am.," said Lilian and Gama together.

" Now so is Rex. We never knew who Rex was. It could just be that this is not a special friend Rex..," said Lanni with a smile.

" I'm sure very sure that Elvira is Rex's soul mate," Lilian said.

" If for Dad, whoever is Rex's mate may be a good woman, sholehah and can make Rex happy.", Ramon said.

That afternoon Rex was seen driving his motorcycle to Pelita Ibu orphanage. Previously he had managed to contact ustadz Akbar and made an appointment to meet there.

Upon arriving at Pelita Ibu orphanage, look ustadz Akbar was standing in the yard accompanied by Elvira.

" Assalamualaikum Ustadz, Miss Elvira..," Rex said as he parked his bike.

" Wa aleikumsalam..," said ustadz Akbar and Elvira together.

" So how's Ustadz, what happened...?" rex asked while taking off his helmet.

Ustadz Akbar smiled looking at Rex's performance back then. Looks a little tangled omen if Rex is in a hurry when he goes to see him.

" True Mas..," said Ustadz Akbar quickly.

" So we should start watching Ari as well as Ustadz...?" tanya Rex is taken by ustadz Akbar.
