16. Chased Thugs

After taking Gama and his parents away, Rex returned home with his family. On the way Rex looks moody and uninspired even though Lilian continues to tease him.

" Don't be so sad about dong Rex. You can still see Gama again later..," entertain Lanni while rubbing Rex's head with affection.

" When is Mom ?. If Gama stays there forever how about...?" ask Rex worriedly.

" It might not be Rex. The house is still there and not for sale. That means they're coming back here. Om Gondo was only a temporary assignment in Riau. At least two or three years have returned to Jakarta.

" Is that so well...?" ask Rex expectantly.

" Yes, son," said Ramon with a smile to make Rex smile.

" Ok, if so I will wait for Gama to return to Jakarta..," said Rex enthusiastically.

" When waiting for Gama you can do other positive things. Like joining a basketball team, martial arts or theater training may be. What is important is positive, yes," said Lanni who approved Ramon.

" Yes Ma'am. I choose silat or taekwondo. You see I should be able to take care of Kak Lian who began to be glimpsed by a lot of nosy guys out there..," said Rex while glancing at Lilian.

The atmosphere in the originally quiet car became rowdy due to the actions of Lilian and Rex.

Lilian studied nursing at a public university in Jakarta. Although the campus is located quite far from home, but Ramon never allowed Lilian to host around the campus like his friends.

Ramon felt the distance traveled could still be circumvented. The point is Ramon just wants Lilian to remain in his custody until the girl finds her mate. While waiting for that moment to arrive, Ramon makes himself and Rex as Lilian's body guard.

That afternoon Rex had just stepped out of a taekwondo training ground in a building in the Sunday Market numbers. Rex stepped towards the stop. Arriving at the Rex stop was sitting waiting while circulating his gaze in all directions. Rex sees Lilian and her two friends being bullied by two unknown men.

Rex rushed across the road without a care for the traffic signs installed in the vehicle's crowded area.

Rex ran quickly and approached the two men. When one of the men reached out to touch Lilian's bag, Rex acted immediately. He blocked the man's hand and pushed him back so hard that he fell.

" What is this brother here...?!" ask Rex loudly.

Lilian did not have time to answer, another man directly attacked Rex from behind while brandishing a dagger.

" Rex awaass's...!" scream Lilian.

Rex turned around to fend off the attack and hit the man until a fight was inevitable. Seeing his friend pressed, the man who had been stranded also stepped forward to join the attack on Rex.

Lilian and her two friends held their breaths when they saw the unbalanced fight between Rex and the two unidentified men.

Not wanting his sister to be hurt, Lilian and her two friends took a stone and threw it on the head of one of the men, wounding him. The man was also covered in blood.

" Why did Rex run, we won...?!" lillian did not understand.

" This is their territory, brother. They can call his friends later. And I won't be able to fight them...!" sahut Rex lantang's.

Rex, Lilian and her two friends kept running. Then Rex stopped the passing Taxi and pushed the three girls into the Taxi.

" Pet the way sir !. There's a thug in the back...!" rex said loudly while closing the Taxi door.

Taxi drivers also drive their cars at high speed because they do not want to bear the risk of being disturbed by thugs.

Lilian looked back and was surprised to see a group of men staring nanar towards the Taxi they were riding.

" You're a real Rex, they call his friends !. Look, they followed us here...!" lillian panicked.

" Gapapa Sis, God willing, we are safe now. Could you please be more flattering, sir...?" pinta Rex is a Taxi driver.

" You're doing this in the area, danger tau..," the taxi driver said, causing Rex to stare in annoyance at Lilian.

" Again looking for a book sir. The word temen here is a cheap used book..," said Lilian's friend named Nesti.

" Find used books not here Ma'am, but in Kwitang. If it's here where the thugs hang out and make trouble. Not a book, but instead got stuck. Good thing you are still intact, don't love three beautiful girls in the cage of thugs.., " said the taxi driver to make the three girls shudder in horror.

The taxi that was originally speeding slowly slowed down and even stopped when it arrived in front of the traffic light. Hesti looked agitated and stared out the window many times. And suddenly Hesti bent his body while closing his eyes.

" Why Hes...?" lillian asked suspiciously to the point of making Rex look over.

Just then Rex saw the body of Nesti shaking violently the sign of the girl seeing something terrifying. Rex also spread his gaze throughout and saw a man dressed in dapper clothes was coming to the taxi on the road one by one. The man also peeked into the taxi.

As the man was about to approach the Taxi they were riding in, a green traffic light flashed. Taxi drivers rushed on the gas pedal and drove the car quickly to make the man upset.

" Alhamdulillah.., " murmured Hesti while re-establishing his body.

Lilian and Rex stared at each other silently, convinced that there was something that Hesti was hiding.

After taking down Nesti and Nadifa in front of their homes, Taxi drove Rex and Lilian home.

" Don't be too tight, Sister Nesti. I'm afraid he's having a bad impact on Big Brother" Rex said as they walked into the house.

" Yes Rex..," said Lilian quickly.

Somehow this time Lilian was more obedient to Rex's words. It seems Lilian is starting to believe in the instincts of her sister.
