Chapter 7 Pregnant

Three days have passed. Their honeymoon period at the luxury hotel is over. They are now back at Suryati's grandmother's house. Hendri and Arumi decide to stay with Suryati's grandmother for a while before getting a new rented house.

Currently, Hendri's money is up for yesterday's cost of booking the hotel. Hendri must work harder from now on because he already has a big responsibility that Hendri must support Arumi. 

As promised, Arumi will also find a job after marriage to realize her goal of making Suryati's grandmother happy in her old age by living in her own house no longer contracted.

 

Hendri her husband plans to buy a house someday if he already has enough money that he will live with Arumi and also his grandmother.

Arumi is currently persistent in finding a job that suits his graduates. He proposed here and there but no one accepted him yet. Arumi feels very tired of trying hard to find a job but has not gotten too.

"I have to find where else" complained Arumi.

Arumi returns with empty hopes. Implied the look of a gloomy face that was almost desperate. Arumi does not want to get carried away he must remain eager to find work.

Arumi hasn't been getting a job all day. This time Arumi will stop by a very famous cake shop owned by her grandmother's neighbor who is also a good friend of Suryati's grandmother named Wijaya.

 

Arumi used to call him Grandpa Wijaya a very nice person to him and also his grandmother. The gloomy face he showed as he stepped his foot into the tavern.

"What's wrong? Why so glum. Is there a problem" asked the middle-aged woman, the owner of a cake shop, his name was Heni.

Heni is very happy with Arumi's presence, he already considers Arumi like his own son. Heni lost his seven-month-old daughter. Either lost because they were kidnapped or maybe still alive or dead. He never knew it, but always sought to find out.

 

In Heni's heart he wished his daughter was still alive to be cared for by a good man. Maybe now his daughter is Arumi's age.

"Find a job here and there is not yet available, it is very difficult to find a job," complained Arumi who often confided with Heni.

"Why don't you just work here, this store is always open for you."

"Thank you Auntie, but I want to find another job as per my graduation," Arumi cried with her gloomy face.

"Don't be so moody, stay excited. The Arumi I know is not a weak girl."

"Maybe I'm just tired. I must remain excited to find this job for the sake of my grandmother and my husband" Arumi encouraged herself.

 

"That's dong," replied Heni.

As time goes on, Arumi finally gets a job. Arumi works in a boutique that provides luxury wedding dress rentals for prestigious people. This job was not in line with his education. But Arumi still accepted the job because it was very necessary.

Hendri and Arumi now both work hard to slam bones in order to realize their ideals yan want to buy a house to live with Suryati's grandmother.

When Arumi was working suddenly his body drooped limp and almost fainted. Hendri who was in his office was forced to check out to meet a call from Arumi's workplace. Arumi seems unwell today Hendri also took her to a clinic.

Arumi was examined by a doctor. Arumi is not sick at the moment he is just exhausted because in his stomach there is a fetus. The doctor told this good news to Arumi and Hendri. They were both very happy and happy when they heard the statement from the Doctor that Arumi was pregnant.

"You're going to be Arumi's mother, and I'm going to be a father" said Hendri, excited as he hugged Arumi, who was still lying in bed.

Arumi was impatient to go home and tell his grandmother this good news. Hendri will also tell the news of Arumi's pregnancy to his mother someday who knows who can melt his mother's heart.

 

Although his mother has not approved it maybe with Arumi pregnant his mother Hendri can accept Arumi.

Hendri and Arumi have now returned home. Just before the door of his house, Arumi was already shouting excitedly calling out his Grandmother's name. Arumi immediately told her Grandma that she was pregnant at this time. 

"You're pregnant Arumi!!"

"Thankful thank goodness. Grandma is glad you have been given a gift by God may this be a blessing for all of us. With your pregnancy, hopefully your marriage relationship will be more fragile later with the presence of a child. And may your in-laws accept you" said Granny Suryati gratefully.

Coincidentally tomorrow's holiday. Hendri intends to invite Arumi to visit his mother's house during marriage Hendri has never invited Arumi there. With the condition of Arumi who is pregnant Hendri is determined to come to his mother.

 

Hendri hopes the relationship with his mother will improve and his mother will bless their marriage even though it is too late.

It seems that Mia is agitated to think about the various monthly bills that must be paid cash. Usually all bills are paid by Hendri son who already has a salary. But for this month Hendri does not exist and Mia who has to pay all the bills for the needs of the house.
