Chapter 2 Asking for blessing

Hendri and Arumi have arrived at their destination, Hendri's house. They both got off from the taxi in his vehicle that came down right in front of Hendri's house, which is located on the edge of the city road. Arumi looked at Hendri's entire house.

 

From the front it looks quite good even though it is not from the elite house group, it is fenced and is on the edge of the city road is very easy to reach. For Arumi the house was already very nice and luxurious.

Unlike Arumi's residence in a narrow alley not as wide as Hendri's house is not fenced, in the house there are only two rooms. One bedroom, there is a kitchen and a bathroom so one in the room.

"Wait a minute" said Arumi. His hands prevented Hendri from opening the door.

The door opened, and the two of them came in saying their greetings. Coincidentally, Hendri's mother is at home sitting relaxed in the living room with her daughter, Hendri's sister named Salsa.

 

Hendri's mother named Mia a widow who had lived in her husband five years ago left this world.

Hendri's mother stared intently at Arumi, a girl she had just seen and was currently coming to her house with her son. Arumi was afraid of the gaze of Hendri's mother, whom she had just met at this time made Arumi shrink her body while bowed.

Hendri never told his mother about Arumi. Hendri is afraid that his mother does not like Arumi because of his ordinary family. His mother always pressured Hendri to marry someone richer than him. So that his life is more prosperous. That's what Mia always craves which is a little materialistic.

"I love Arumi very much and I'm sure of my choice. I brought her here to ask for Mom's blessing. I want to marry Arumi soon." Hendri to the point with his mother.

"Married!! You want to marry him. Was she from a rich family until you decided to marry her. From his appearance, he did not look like a rich man. You know what I've been hoping for all this time, to have a daughter-in-law from a rich family to make your life prosperous and happy."

 Mia clasped her words, without feeling sorry for Arumi who did not match what she said. Arumi was stunned to hear Mia's words.  His body trembled again and was increasingly afraid to look at Hendri's mother.

Arumi let out a heavy sigh while looking at Hendri who also seemed to object to his mother's words.

Arumi is very easy to get the heart of Hendri who loves him so much, but it does not seem easy to get the heart of his mother. Will arumi still be able to marry Hendri even without the blessing of Hendri's parents.
