Chapter 12 of the Law

Arumi waited for Hendri at the usual place. Not so long Hendri had appeared himself, who had just got off the motorcycle ojek on line. Arumi's hand immediately waved as Hendri's gaze pointed at her. Hendri also replied by waving his hand as well. Hendri ran over to Arumi.

 

"Yes waiting for him" said Hendri as he approached Arumi.

 

"No mas, want for whatever time if the Hendri mas who picked up will I continue to wait."

 

"Ih.., you can, you are indeed my good wife who is faithful waiting for me," said Hendri as he pinched Arumi's cheek with a resplendent.

 

"It's late let's go home" Hendri asked.

 

"But I'm a laper mas! How about we stop by for some food first."

 

Arumi stroked her stomach which felt very hungry because since this afternoon had not eaten.

 

"You hungry? Oh pity at all the grandpa must be he was hungry like his mom, too" said Hendri while stroking Arumi's stomach as well.

 

Arumi only smiled amusedly when she saw Hendri chatting with his baby candidate while kissing his stomach.

 

Arumi wants to eat her favorite meatballs. It just so happened that there was something on the side of the road that passed through it. He also stopped by for a while to fill his starving stomach with Hendri.

 

Hendri happened to have not eaten before. He was busy waiting for Arumi who seemed to come and invite him to eat with his mother and sister.

 

They both seemed to be enjoying their favorite food. Arumi order two bowls. Hendri was made to shake his head why his wife's appetite so run rampant. Arumi tells her because there are two people inside her.

 

Hendri also understands now he will be as sensitive as Arumi and will be more affectionate Arumi who is now pregnant with her baby.

 

While Mia at home her mind riled. Mia felt sick and was waiting for the arrival of Arumi and Hendri who never came. Every now and then Mia saw a clock on her hand phone that continued to run without stopping. His mouth was raised many times the sign was sleepy. However, Mua was still waiting for their arrival.

 

It feels like Mia contacted Hendri but she undoes her intention fear of being caught with Hendri if he is waiting for Arumi. Suddenly his mind changed. He will still contact Hendri who he said picked up Arumi but who did not come. 

 

Mia started contacting Hendri in an instant. Mia immediately asked Hendri's whereabouts and told him to go home quickly. Hendri was willing to fulfill the request of his mother who was like very worried on the day that was already tonight because He and his wife were not home.

 

"Let's go home, mom already asked us why not go home," asked Hendri quickly.

 

"The phone call was mom."

 

"Yes, he's worried we're home tonight."

 

"So now you haven't slept?" Ask Arumi.

 

"Maybe he can't sleep because he's worried about us."

 

Hendri did not tell about his mother who had bad thoughts about Arumi when Hendri had told the truth. Because, her mother-in-law is still literate Arumi wants to bring her a hand for her. Arumi will order two packs of meatballs, but Hendri says no need. Arumi had him locked up.

 

Hendri quickly brought Arumi home. Hendri knows the attitude of his mother who does not like Arumi. Hendri guessed that there must be something to make his mother tell him to quickly go home either later will scold him or scold Arumi his wife.

 

Hendri and Arumi drove home in a taxi, not long before arriving home. Hendri looked into his house saw the lights in the house still on. Hendri thinks surely his mother is still not asleep waiting for his arrival.

 

 

"Let's go fast, walk slowly," whispered Hendri in the ear of Arumi who was covered in her hijab.

 

"Why should slow down and settle down like this" Arumi whispered back in Hendri's ear.

 

They are so funny walking together while sneaking around like people want to escape from a kidnapping.

 

"Had followed," said Hendri in a soft voice.

 

They continued walking until they reached the living room. The two of them were even startled by Mia's cry calling their names. 

 

"Where are you from?" Said Mia loudly her eyes sharpened showing her anger that had not been all uttered.

 

"Sorry mom, I have made you wait for our arrival" said Hendri.

 

"Just staying here a day makes me fret."

 

"You Arumi, why did you just come home this late makes it difficult for my son to have to pick everything up. Not even going back and forth is too lazy like this," said Mia as her fingers pointed towards Arumi.

 

"I'm sorry ma'am, I was there.." Arumi's speech stopped because in between her mother-in-law.

 

"Not a reason. You're just a daughter-in-law who lives in the house of in-laws, don't be as nice as you just go home as you like."

 

"I'm sorry ma'am, I'm sorry. I am guilty."

 

Hendri could not defend Arumi this time. Although already explained with Hendri, his mother still did not want to understand and now still scolded his wife.

 

"Arumi has apologized, Mom, it's night we want to rest because tomorrow has to work again."

 

"Rest you said, if you can now rest. But for your wife, I'm gonna show her something."

 

Mia tells Arumi to follow her. Hendri followed Arumi from behind. Hendri is curious about what his mother will show Arumi. Mia takes Arumi to the kitchen and shows her a pile of dirty dishes in the wastafle that must be washed.

 

Umi continued to show again to the bathroom that has not been cleaned for several days. Mia tells Arumi to take care of it as her punishment.

 

Arumi did not dare to refuse the orders of her in-laws who were very angry with her. Although Hendri wants to be done tomorrow it cannot change Mia's decision. With a very heavy heart on this late night and a body that is tired from working all day Arumi will still clean everything up.

 

Hendri did not have the heart to see Arumi who was pregnant had to do extra double work. Arumi was tired all day working and overtime had not had time to rest until at home should be punished with her in-laws.

 

On the night that was almost twelve pm they were both still busy with cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the bathroom. Because of the help of her beloved husband Arumi did not feel objection. He became more excited to do it and quickly finished it.

 

Mia feels like she won today she managed to punish Arumi, the daughter-in-law she disliked. Mia was rolling around laughing happily in her bed.

 

"Your feelings, got to you. No need I wait until sleepy finally I can punish you Arumi. Who told you to dare to be my man. Tomorrow I'll give you more surprises" muttered Mia with a appreciative smile.
