Chapter 16 Trying hard

"I'm sorry Arumi. Because you live here you're suffering because of my mother."

 

Arumi was stunned when she heard her husband's words, but she came back with her activities.

 

"Mas don't blame yourself, it's probably our destiny to have to live this life. We accept Mas sincerely," said Arumi as his hands busy picking up groceries that have been dropped by Hendri from a taxi.

 

"It's a pity that Arumi, when she was pregnant, had to work hard, trying to make my mother happy by obeying all her orders. Should I ask her to move again?" Hendri muttered as he walked behind Arumi with a bag of groceries.

 

"Alhamdulillah, it's finally finished too Mas."

 

The groceries are neatly arranged in their place. 

 

"Quickly you rest, surely you are tired right," Netra Hendri looked at Arumi full of pity.

 

"Hey why look at me like that, I'm not papa Mas. I am happy to be living all this. We are happy. Don't be too lamenting about my fate. Look at me so hard."

 

A big smile she showed her husband.

 

Hendri buried Arumi's body in his arms, showing his affection and that as a form of expression that can not be expressed for a wife who was so strong to face this test. Hendri was calm to see Arumi loved him so much under any circumstances.

 

It's already night time. Only night can make Arumi's heart calm without being burdened with a job that he has completed all day. Arumi and Hendri buried his body on the bed, both of them clutching each other. On a night that seemed silent they still did not sleep. 

 

While sleeping looking at the ceiling of his room that still looks bright because the lights are still on at night is late. They enjoy relaxing together stretching the muscles that during the day are non-stop in action.

 

Hendri inquires about Arumi's visit to her grandmother's house. Because this afternoon did not have time to ask because they were busy with their respective activities.

 

Arumi tells her husband that Suryati's grandmother is very happy with her arrival. He already misses him a lot and misses Hendri too but unfortunately Hendri does not come along. Arumi's arrival was always waiting for her grandmother.

 

From now on Arumi will often visit her elderly grandmother in a rented house alone. Hendri also gave permission to Arumi.

 

Talking about Grandma Suryati, Arumi was reminded of her Grandma's message earlier. It was a good time to tell her husband. Arumi got up from her bed and sat straight facing her husband. Arumi wanted to talk seriously to Hendri.

Hendri woke up his body as well. Now the two of them sit facing each other.

 

"Look, I got a message from Grandma. It would be nice if our marriage was inaugurated. What do you think of Mas Hendri?"

 

"The thought of Grandma is like mine" Hendri said.

 

"In fact Mas, means Mas also wants our marriage to be officially inaugurated legally," both Arumi's neutrals widened.

"Thank you Mas, for your care and love," Arumi immersed herself in her husband's arms.

 

It's morning already. Since dawn Arumi has started to fight with her homework. Because today entered work, Arumi had to finish her homework before leaving for work like a message from her in-laws.

 

With joy Arumi doing her work in this house. It doesn't feel like everything's been solved without anyone helping. Hendri this time can not help Arumi. Hendri had to go to work early in the morning because in his office there was a new CEO welcoming event.

"Mother was kind enough to accept Arumi in this house as Mother's daughter-in-law. But on condition that she be with Mom. If Arumi does not accept please leave here," Mia explained to Salsa who protested with her attitude.

 

Arumi spoke up.

 

"Arumi is happy to have Bu living here, to be considered as a non-essential papa maid Mother has accepted me as the mother-in-law in this house," Arumi assured her in-laws.

 

"In addition, you should also make you happy. Don't forget next month's pay-out buying Mom jewelry to add to Mother's jewelry collection."

 

"Mother!" Salsa Gereget said the same words of her mother who was matre abis. Salsa did not dare to protest anymore, she only gave her mouth a sign of not liking the statement of her mother

 

It's almost eight o'clock. Arumi just nodded, and passed away leaving behind Mia and Salsa who were indifferent to each other.
