ARAKAS

ARAKAS
Chapter 86

Ravel follows Moses in. The building is big. But it is empty and very unkempt. I don't know where that guy found a building like this. They were sitting across from a table in a corner. The table and chair are well-organized. But it's old and looks worn out. Ravel sat down, though. He was observing the whole place.

"You got the stuff?" the question made Ravel face forward, staring at Moses. He watched the man for a moment. Everything Moses used was not ordinary. Just like it seemed, it was a high quality item. Only rich people could afford such expensive items. This means Moses is among the men in the upper class. His face was grim and cold, but it did not cover his good looks. Most women would love a man like that. Ravel alone admitted defeat from the powerful aura possessed by this man in front of her.

"Do you bring the stuff or not?" ask Moses again.

"I brought. But there's nothing with me now." said Ravel. Moses scrunched his forehead. The brothers are the same as it turns out. Both are equally annoying. He knows it's not that easy to trust people, but still he feels annoyed. His intention was good to help. Once he said he would protect the people he wanted to protect, Moses would do so without expecting anything in return. Yes, he can accept the man in front now just try to be careful and not easily trust strangers.

"You take it easy, if you really don't mean anything bad to my sister, it'll be in your hands right now" Ravel said. Moses laughed softly.

"Why do I beat up that weak and timid girl. She's my own fiancee anyway. There's no way I hurt him." Moses responded in his haughty style.

The man's words made Ravel quite surprised. A fiancee? Oh, my God, let alone this. Did the man deliberately force Ara to get engaged to him.

"Don't mess around, Ara's got a boyfriend. Why would she be engaged to you?" sergeant Ravel with a displeased expression. Moses laughed again. He's got a chest.

"I know she has a boyfriend. But your sister and I were betrothed when we were little, before she was taken away by her mother. And just so you know, this engagement will be hard to break if you don't cooperate with me." Moses said at length. Ravel stared back at him sharply.

"You mean that stuff?" abugn. Moses nodded.

"You're so much smarter than your sister." she replied. Ravel felt furious but could not do anything.

"Is there any evidence that you're on our side? Said Ara everyone who owned the item could suddenly come to power. What if you just want that stuff and end up betraying us?"

"Listen," the man leaned slightly forward.

"I don't need that bastard to gain power. And I'm not the greedy kind of guy" he said flatly. Ravel admitted that the man was very charismatic. Maybe he was too excessive to assume the man named Moses had evil intentions.

Then the phone ringing sounded. Ravel saw Moses picking up the phone and talking seriously. He heard the word, "have you arrived?", come out of Moses' mouth. Who called that guy?

"Get in." Moses' last word before hanging up the phone made Ravel ready to go. It might be the enemy. Moses probably really wanted to betray them. A moment later appeared a few well-dressed people into the room. There are about nine people. There were two women among them.

Ravel stood up from the chair when she saw Moses standing up and greeting the men.

"Who are they?" ravel asked with a probing look. Moses looks relaxed as usual.

"Since you still don't believe me and I'm considering your sister's safety, I deliberately called the prosecution team and handed them the item. It has to be given to the authorities, right?" obviously Moses. Ravel squinted her eyes at Moses. These people may just be pretending to be the government.

"What evidence are they really from the prosecutor's office?" again he wanted to make sure. Someone among them, who was shaking hands with Moses, came forward and showed Ravel his identification card. The man read it carefully. He can tell which ones are fake and real. And it seems, these people in front of him are really a team of prosecutors.

"We hope you can work with us" said the adult man, who was in his early fours. It seemed like he was the team leader of the few people standing behind him.

Ravel paused for a moment, then looked at Moses again. The man turned out to really want to help Ara, not intending for anything else. In that case, he also did not need to trouble her.

"Alright, then I'll have my friend holding the item deliver it here right now" Ravel said. As Moses alleged. He already had a hunch that Ravel had deliberately told people to follow him. He had seen someone watching them from the bushes outside. Apparently it was Ravel's guy.
