ARAKAS

ARAKAS
Chapter 74

"How's Ara doing?" Ravel enters Karrel's apartment in a hurry. His face looks worried. After filming, he called Ara, ready to pick her up. But Ara's phone is dead. He finally decided to call Karrel, fortunately raised by the man. But on the phone Karrel said Ara had a fever and her body was still hot. It didn't take long for Ravel to get to Karrel's apartment.

"It's still pretty hot. He's still sleeping." said Karrel, continuing to walk towards his room. Letting Ravel in saw her sister's situation.

The girl was still calm in her sleep. Ravel sat on the bedside chair, while Karrel chose to sit on the edge of the bed, at the foot of Ara. It was already afternoon and Ara had yet to wake up as well, but the heat had already gone down. Karrel had rechecked his body temperature earlier and could breathe freely.

"He's eating?" Ravel looked at Karrel with her raised hand stroking slowly at the top of Ara's head. Karrel nodded.

"Last noon I woke him up for a while and gave him porridge." he said.

"Looks like he can't go home today." Karrell continued. Ravel looked at him for a while then nodded in understanding.

"I've never seen you this attentive to women" Ravel said leaning herself against the back of the chair. Karrel smiled briefly.

"Well, your sister is too charming." Ravel smiled as well. He agreed with the man. Karrell continued.

"When I first saw it, I couldn't turn my face away. Everything he did was stupid and unimportant. But even more stupidly, I was interested. What was in my head at that time was, I wanted to know him more closely. "he remembered the first time he saw Ara. Karrel could not hide his smile given all the behavior of Ara at that time. He looked at Ara for a moment and glanced at Ravel again.

"I didn't know at the time that she was your sister. But there was one time when I drove him home. When I found out she lived in the same house as you, I didn't expect there to be such a coincidence. Hah, it turns out that this world is small." Ravel smiled faintly. He himself did not expect when he saw Ara close to Karrel. At first he did not like it because of his jealousy and because the man was Karrel, but slowly he began to try to accept. He tries to put himself as a good brother to Ara. Even support all the girl's decisions. He no longer wants their relationship to be as cold as it used to be. And for Karrel who was once his best friend, he hopes their relationship slowly improves. There was still something else they had never finished before. Not about Ara, but about someone who died because of it.

"I admit I was very cold to your cousin. Maybe his departure was because of my biggest mistake" Ravel said. Carrel heard it seriously.

"I'm sorry." Ravel continued. Finally the sentence he always wanted to convey to Karrel could be delivered tonight. He used to be too cowardly. Dare not admit mistakes. He realized there were too many harsh words that hurt the heart of Beautiful. He raised his face to look at Karrel. The man's hand was on his shoulder.

"I never blame you. It's beautiful to die not because of you. She was severely depressed due to her parents' illness and divorce until she committed suicide. At that time, I was angry because at the most difficult times, you were acting so arrogant that you even rejected it violently. But believe me, he wasn't hurt by your refusal" Karrel said at length. In the past, he had tidied up Beautiful items and found a diary. Karrel read the diary. And the last sheet that Beautiful wrote in her diary was,

Dear Ravel's...

"The thing that makes me happy in this world is knowing you. I don't regret loving you even if you refuse me many times.  I want to keep chasing you, but I'm too tired of my life. My parents, the illness I've had, I don't think I've been able to survive all this. I can only pray for you to find someone you truly love and can give you happiness. Being able to know you is my luck. Good bye Ravel."

when reading the sentence written by Indah, Karrel immediately knew that his cousin never once hated Ravel. And Ravel wasn't the reason the girl ended her life. The man had no right to blame Ravel.

"Beautiful him... It hurt?" ravel really just found out. If he had known, he wouldn't have been rude.

"Final-stage brain cancer." answered Karrel slowly. He smiled bitterly in light of his cousin's miserable life. Ravel was speechless no more. Both of them were silent in their own minds. Then Karrel's daydream stopped when he heard there was movement at Ara's feet. He looked at the girl who started to open her eyes slowly. Ravel turned her eyes to her sister.

"I dreamt you two made up." Ara murmured softly and sounded hoarse. Throat's dry. He looked at Karrel and his brother in turn. The two men looked at each other, then laughed.
