"So, me and you, we're both sons of the mafia?" ara looked at Moses. The man nodded slowly. His position was back to sit but on the bed, and Ara sat leaning against the wall of the mattress.
"That means what did our father do all in illegal?" ask the girl again. Moses shrugged indifferently.
"More or less like that. This time I heard they were trading weapons" Moses said. Ara glares. A gun? Trade guns? Fix, he did not feel happy after hearing his biological family plunged into the mafia world. He would rather be his younger brother Ravel than a member of a mafia family. It was not wrong that her real mother ran away with her.
"What about you? What's yourjob?" Ara glanced at Moses. Given that the man was good at fighting and shooting this afternoon, it's possible that he also worked with his father to become a mobster.
"You don't need to know. For sure I can promise you your safety while you stay here." Moses said flatly.
"But I want to go home. My brother, my girlfriend too..."
"You got a boyfriend?" ask Moses directly. Right, he already thought the girl might have a lover. It seems like their relationship will be complicated. Moses himself was confused as to how to respond. It was impossible for him to accuse the girl of cheating on him.
They were arranged from small. But never met. Ara doesn't know anything. It's natural that she's dating someone at this age. Moses may also have forced the girl to end her relationship with the man she was dating. But what about their two fathers? This is no good.
"You remember we were both engaged, right?" the man looked straight at Ara. The girl looked back at him.
"But I don't know you, there's already another guy I like. Can't we just cancel this match? You can't like me either, right? We both just met. Maybe you have a boyfriend like me too" Ara said at length.
"What if it doesn't? What if I don't mind getting engaged to you either? You're beautiful, and I'm single, there's no harm in me accepting this relationship." Moses' reply made Ara swerve sharply at him. The man chuckled.
"You want to cancel the engagement?" tanyanya. His face turned serious. He saw Ara nodding strongly.
"I can't promise that. It wasn't me who arranged our match." Ara's face turned grim hearing that.
"Hey, that expression of yours makes me feel like a bad guy" Moses said. Though many women out there are chasing him because of his beautiful figure. But this girl was sad to be around him. He wondered what this girl's boyfriend looked like. Is it worth being his rival? Not that he was arrogant or overconfident, but he was a strong and well-trained man from small in many areas. Ara is one of the lucky girls to be her fiance.
"So I should be happy about that? Huh huh?Not long ago I just found out that the family that raised me was not my real family, when I could accept that fact and decided to live happily with them, suddenly a stranger came and said I was his real son. More importantly, I have a fiance that I don't know at all. My life is also threatened just because of an item that is on me. Why did my life have to end like this anyway, I was wrong what try..."
Ara shook Moses' arm and began to cry loudly, lamenting his miserable life. Moses was silent for a moment. Never before had he faced a girl crying in front of him, he was at a loss how to persuade her to shut up.
Moses scratched his head which was not itchy at all. Then awkwardly he pulled Ara into his arms. Trying to calm the girl. His hand rubbed softly on Ara's back. But instead of stopping crying, Ara sobbed and buried her head in Moses' chest. Moses could feel the girl's body shaking from her cries.
Not knowing how to make Ara stop crying, she chose to let it go until the girl got tired and stopped by herself. There was a sense of awkwardness that he felt because this was the first time he had hugged a girl. But Ara seemed to give him a sense of comfort. He could feel his shirt wet from Ara's tears. About fifteen minutes into their position like that.
Ara's crying began to subside. But still slow. He lifted his head that was set in the chest of Moses' field. Moses cleared his heart, then poured a glass of mineral water over the nightstand and gave it to Ara.
"Drink first" he murmured slowly. Ara according.
"You really want to live with the family that raised you?" ask the man. Ara nodded.
"I promise I'll help you. But it won't be easy. We both have to work out a plan." Moses explained. Throughout his life he never wanted to be involved with anyone else. But Ara is different. He really wanted the girl to be happy.
"Plan?" Ara looked at Moses confusedly. The man took the empty glass in Ara's hand, put it back on the nightstand and put his face closer to the girl's face.
"That tube, you have to remember whether or not your mama gave it to you. We have to start from there, destroy the illicit stuff that's making everyone come after you. If you want to live quietly with your family and cancel our engagement, destroy the item first" Moses said seriously. Ara thought for a moment. Right said the man. He was in search because of the necklace. If that thing wasn't there for her maybe she could live a quiet life.
"What if I find that necklace? What's it give to my dad?" tanyakanya.
Moses nodded quickly.
"Don't, that thing could make people kill each other to get it. Your father and my father, have no rights to that stuff. We should have given it to the authorities." Moses just didn't want their father to be crazy for wealth and power. It was enough he saw many die from working with them. He had to move silently without their knowledge.
"Listen, Ara, you can only tell this secret of ours to someone you truly trust. We need someone else to work with both of us. So, we may need people close to you. I'll figure out a way for you to call them tomorrow. There are a lot of spies of my father's here, so that no one is suspicious, you can just call them from my room. This room is the safest. You believe me, don't you?"
Ara nodded. I don't know why he felt Moses was a man to believe in.
"Then go to sleep. We'll talk again tomorrow."
