"I didn't come because I wanted to see Gibran, I came here to see you." Amanda replied without hesitation.

After listening to what Amanda said, Sabina also sat her body on the sofa right opposite the woman who had once been her best friend.

"What do you need for me ? What do you want to talk about? You don't have much time to visit this house." Sabina asked consecutively in a cold tone of voice.

Amanda smiled wryly, she realized her presence was very unexpected. Seen from Sabina's unusual facial features and tone of speech, the meek woman had now turned sour. It was not Sabina's fault but her own fault that had inflicted a deep wound.

Amanda took a deep breath before she started talking.

"I came to apologize" Amanda said.

"for ?"

"For all the bad things I did to you" he continued. Amanda smelled a smile, while Sabina was still with her face showing dislike.

"Bina, first forgive me for betraying you for running away with Andre on your wedding day." Amanda said regretfully.

Sabina was silent without responding, allowing Amanda to continue speaking.

"Then I also apologize for always insulting your shortcomings and lastly forgive me for burdening Gibran with my illness" Amanda continued, bowing her head.

"Gibran is innocent, believe me.... I came to him, because I was ashamed of my illness and also didn't have the money to see another doctor."

Amanda lifted her face and looked at Sabina who still did not want to talk.

"Since I escaped with Andre, I've lived with him under one roof without any marriage ties. But after I got pregnant, Andre kicked me out because he couldn't believe that the child I was carrying was his. I can't blame him either because I don't know who his father is, even my little heart says Andre is the one and after I'm sick I go back to Andre but he drives me out again."

"Why did you come to my husband ? why did you go to Gibran ? Don't you have a little shame ?" Sabina asked in the end.

"Because I'm sick, I have no money and no one else in my life because my mother died when I came home" Amanda replied, looking into Sabina's eyes.

"I know what a Gibran is. He would not have the heart to see others in distress because Gibran had once felt the same way. He will also never ignore women who are pregnant because the father left him so he certainly did not want other children to feel his suffering. To Gibran a child is precious even though it is not his and I who do not know this self take advantage of his kindness even to the point of threatening to bun*if Gibran doesn't want to help and I'm lucky that Gibran was willing to help until this child was born." Amanda continued among her cries.

"I also know Gibran loved his job as a doctor and upheld his professionalism, so I asked Gibran to keep it a secret about the illness I was expecting, especially from you, Bina."

"Why ?" ask Sabina.

"Because I'm ashamed of you, because I always feel defeated by you."

"Huh ?" Sabina furrowed her brows not understanding.

"I've always thought of you as a rival." Amanda answered, lowering her head.

"How can everyone like you more than me ? How can Andre who is rich and can get any woman fall in love with you with this flaw? as for me, the men who approached me only wanted my body. Why can you be born in the noble family when I am the one who deserves to be there. I want everything you have." Amanda said between sobs.

Sabina listened carefully and felt disbelief in what Amanda said.

"It was only Gibran who liked and accepted me for who I was, but it wasn't enough because like I said, I wanted everything to be yours, until I approached Andre and seduced him. But things aren't going well, Andre still loves you and he's so jealous when he finds out Gibran married you and I feel the same way, in the end I realized that I also loved Gibran who used to sincerely love me. But it's all too late."

"So you still love Gibran ?" ask Sabina not to like it.

"Don't worry, Bina. Gibran no longer has any feelings for me even though I have seduced him." Amanda remembers how she tried to seduce Gibran by kissing him but the man ignored her.

"Gibran can't possibly fall in love with this disgusting me anymore" Amanda said, handing Sabina a few sheets of paper.

Sabina read the paper carefully and closed her mouth in disbelief.

"I had syphilis and now my pregnancy is also problematic" Amanda said, spilling her tears.

"I was bleeding and unconscious, I was taken to the hospital and confessed that Gibran was my doctor and the only family I had. I don't want Gibran to be responsible for me." Amanda again

Now Sabina was the one who shed her tears, she felt guilty for being too jealous of her husband.

"Why are you saying all this ?" ask Sabina.

"Because you need to know the truth, I know Gibran shut down his practice because your health is deteriorating, now you don't have to worry because from now on I won't bother Gibran anymore" Amanda replied.

"Yes, I hope you don't come to my husband anymore, because this time I won't stay still if you act." Sabina said clearly and firmly.

"The problem with Andre, I have forgiven him for a long time even I should thank you because thanks to the incident I finally married the right man." continued Sabina again.

"And one more thing, don't feel like competing with me. You should be grateful because with your perfect circumstances, you are better able to explore the world freely without feeling inferior. With my situation like this I can't go to school like you, I can't get along and make friends. My space is really limited. So you're actually a lot luckier than me."

Amanda listened to what Sabina said and she cried regretting all her actions

" Let it pass. Mutual forgiveness will be better even if our relationship is no longer possible as before."

Amanda nodded in agreement with what Sabina had just said. "I'm sorry for all my mistakes, Bina. I really regret it. May you and Gibran always be happy."

Much more Amanda explained and Sabina faithfully listened. In the end Sabina forgave her former best friend even though now they can not be friends like before.

"Bina, I have to go home. It's dark." Amanda said goodbye. The two talked to each other for a long time.

"Hmm yes,"

Amanda stood up and walked slowly to the exit.

"Manda, thank you for explaining everything" Sabina said as Amanda walked out of the house.

"May you and Gibran be happy forever. Remember Bina, Gibran loves you so much." Amanda said with a smile and left Sabina's house.

Gibran knocks on the steering wheel of his car, annoyed by the traffic jam. He forgot that tonight is Sunday night so the streets of the capital are crowded with motorists.

All he did was look at the beautiful ring that bore his name.

Gibran smiled at the beautiful face of the woman he loved, and in his heart he was grateful that his relationship had improved but there were things that were still stuck that their problems were not over.

Gibran rubbed his chin while thinking, and he decided tonight he would solve his hanging problem.

Elsewhere, Sabina sat pensively recalling what Amanda said. This time she felt guilty for her husband.

"Had Gibran been so angry back then, he was under so much pressure and I didn't want to understand." Sabina muttered in her solitude.

Sabina was still busy with her thoughts when the doorbell rang. Trudgingly, he walked towards the door and opened it.

There stood a man who filled his mind at this moment. Sabina raised her face to look at the man closely, while Gibran lowered his head and looked at his wife's face feelingly.

For a moment their eyes clashed and locked each other in silence.

"I'm sorry" both at the same time.
