"I'm always here waiting for you to come home, I've never been anywhere." Answer Sabina lirih.
Sabina's words made Gibran aware, not the distance that made them 'separate' but 'silence' and the little secret that Gibran hid that made them like that.
Gibran was silent for a while, all he did was gently caress Sabina's long hair. His eyes stared blankly at the ceiling above him.
"I'm sorry, honey. And I think we should talk." Gibran's whisper was soft but there was no response from Sabina. His wife had fallen asleep in his arms. Gibran closed his eyes, pressing a hug on Sabina's body. He was afraid of losing the woman in his arms.
***
In the morning Sabina woke her husband up as usual. And just like last night, Gibran was still trying to get closer to Sabina. I don't know how many times Gibran stole a kiss from his wife's lips and it made Sabina wonder also made her feelings uncertain.
A ticklish tingling of Sabina's stomach and chest pounding felt every Gibran do that. He felt so loved but on the other hand also felt anxious because Gibran was unusual in acting like that made Sabina even more suspicious of him.
It had been 3 days and Gibran was still doing the same thing, he was so attached to Sabina that every night always asked for her right as a husband and Sabina never once refused.
"Why are you ?" Sabina asked as the two lay on the bed exhausted after the hot activity that had just been completed.
"Hmm ?" Gibran asked back.
"You always say you miss me, when we meet every day and I don't go anywhere." Sabina replied calmly and Gibran just stared at Sabina without speaking. He recalls the little secrets and lies he had told several times because of Amanda.
Instead of answering Sabina's question, Gibran preferred to get up and scavenge her clothes scattered on the floor. With gontai steps and his plain body without a thread, Gibran walked to the bathroom and cleaned himself.
Leaving Sabina lying on the bed with a bad mind that kept coming at her. A drop of clear water fell on the corner of his eye because his mind was about Gibran.
"Let me help you clean up, and then we'll have to talk." Said the gentle Gibran who Sabina had unknowingly been sitting next to her.
Sabina reflexively brushed Gibran's hand off his arm. With great difficulty he tried to get up because his enlarged stomach made it a little difficult to move.
"Bina !" Protests Gibran, who did not like the rejection of his wife.
"I can do it myself." Annoyed Sabina while picking up her clothes that Gibran had stripped away.
"Binaa," Gibran said and held Sabina's arm back to leave, but as before, Sabina brushed it off again.
"We have to talk" Gibran said, stopping his wife's move.
"Yes it seems like that, we should talk" Sabina replied as she rubbed her wet cheeks without turning her head.
Sabina cleaned up for a long time and Gibran patiently waited for her to sit on the bed.His head was down to think of the best way to tell his wife about Amanda who was still meeting him.
"Sit down" Gibran patted the empty spot next to him for Sabina to sit there. But Sabina preferred a seat not far from Gibran.
"Sorry..." A word that Gibran first said and Sabina just silently looked at her husband with a face full of question marks.
As much as possible Sabina was calm when her chest had rumbled violently, and her eyes were ready to drop clear water. His feelings say that Gibran has done something that he does not like very much.
"For ?" Sabina asked quietly but Gibran could still hear her clearly.
"To hide some things from you," Gibran replied as he breathed heavily.
"I guessed it," Sabina smiled disgustedly as she said it.
"Unlike you thought, Bina." Gibran defended himself.
"What am I guessing about ?" Sabina asked back and Gibran felt trapped instantly.
"Of course, you must be thinking badly of me. Because I know from your cold attitude lately. And it tormented me so much, Bina. That's why I always say that I miss you ! I miss you being as warm as you used to not being as cold as you are today." Gibran Explosive, he can no longer hold back the feeling he's been feeling in his chest.
"Ask yourself, Gibran ! Ask me why I'm acting like this !" Reply Sabina did not want to lose, even her tears had fallen down her cheeks without her asking.
"I'm sure you've been hiding something related to Amanda !" Sabina said again with a raised voice and Gibran's shocked face was enough of an answer for her. Sabina also smiled sickly while wiping away the tears.
"Aren't I guessing ?" Sabina asked lirih.
"But it's not like that, Bina."
"I asked, wasn't it my guess ?" Sabina repeated her question.
"I. yes, Bina. Sorry.." replied Gibran regretfully.
"But I swear to God, I didn't do anything crazy behind your back. I'm not a traitor, Bina. Like I said before, I'm just helping Amanda who's sick. And all this time I've been in contact with him is limited to the relationship between doctors and patients. I'm sorry I still see him" Gibran said.
"Why do you care so much about him ? I don't know about you Gibran... Amanda has hurt you, hurt both of us." Sabina asked again with tears already spilling over.
"Just because she's pregnant, I immediately remember our son Bina. As a human being I just want to help an innocent baby in the womb. Just because of that, I could swear." Gibran.
"Why do you care so much ? The man who was supposed to be his father didn't care. Is it because you still have feelings of love for Amanda ? If so, you can go with him anytime. I realized that from the beginning you didn't want this marriage. Maybe it's time for us to let go of each other like our original marriage commitment." Shrill Sabina and make Gibran surprised amazing.
