Back to Sarren Hill.

"What you told me about history 100 years ago surprised me. Then, what are you going to do with that non-human race?" said Frey.

"I will give them a place to live and make them independent. When the Hand of God found out about the non-human race coming out of the Dark Plain, I was afraid that the events of 100 years ago would happen again" Daru retorted.

Frey kept quiet and thought about what kind of steps would be most appropriate to take. An idea also appeared in his mind.

"God's hand is only provoking, right? Nor do humans know the real facts. What if we publish non-human races? We let the humans know that the non-human race is not a monster like what their common knowledge tells us" Frey said.

Daru nodded his head and said, "You have a point. With that, the Hand of God could not spread rumors stating that they were monsters. However, I must be a person influential enough in the Isla Continent to publish it."

"I will help you with all my might" said Frey, clasping Daru's hand and smiling.

"Thank you," Daru replied with a smile.

....

The day changed, the sun had risen to a height that was quite blinding. Daru was in the middle of the second floor of the store with active stealth magic. Suddenly, Frey entered the room and said, "Daru, King Gustave and King Vanir have come up with items from their respective kingdoms."

Daru took off his stealth magic and said, "Let Shera take care of the transaction between the two kingdoms. Can you invite Uncle Vanir here?"

"Well," said Frey as he left the room.

Soon enough, King Vanir enters the room with Frey. Daru immediately stood up and greeted King Vanir.

"Uncle Vanir," said Daru.

"I felt that something was important" King Vanir said before sitting on the sofa.

Daru sat back down and said, "This is about my request, Uncle Vanir."

Frey just remained silent without a word and sat down beside Daru.

King Vanir furrowed his brows and said, "Say."

"I need a larger area, what if it's 4 kilometers from the wall?" asked Daru with his sly smile.

King Vanir gasped in shock upon hearing Daru's words. King Vanir used to give a circular area as far as 1 kilometer from the foot of Sarren Hill, and now Daru asked for 4 more kilometers.

"You've got an area over 2 kilometers in diameter, Daru, that's wide enough, and you're asking for 4 more kilometers? You intend to erode the territory of the Kingdom of Resia?" King Vanir's eyebrows twitched as he said so.

"Resia Kingdom is the kingdom that has the largest territory, right? It doesn't really diminish your territory, Uncle. After all, neither town nor village is 4 kilometers from the foot of Sarren Hill." Daru smiled wider, making the confidence of King Vanir decrease.

"What do you want to do with such an area?" ask King Vanir.

"Production, it takes a very large place to produce the goods I sell in the store." Daru was of course lying, it was impossible for him to say that the place was for the residence of non-human races.

"I can give 500 meters, no more" said King Vanir after a deep thought.

Now, it was Daru's turn to be silent. However, a diameter of 1 kilometer was not enough to accommodate a non-human race that numbered more than six thousand souls.

The ideal wiggle room for a person is 7.5 m². Six thousand lives means about 45 km². Plus the need for land to process food, I at least have to prepare an area of 50 km², with a diameter of 8 km I can get that figure. Anyway, I have to get Uncle Vanir to agree to it! thought Daru.

"What if 4 kilometers is equivalent to two requests?" daru said he offered.

King Vanir shook his head and said, "That's too big, Daru. What if there were gold ore or other valuable minerals underground? Although I also doubt there is anything of value under him, the Royal Council will consider me a bad King for preferring personal ties over royal interests. I'm sorry, 500 meters or not."

Daru was just silent, vexation etched clearly on his face, no more sneaky smiles to be seen. King Vanir, who saw him, sighed and moved from where he was sitting, saying, "Think of that, I will wait for your decision for 3 days. Come to my palace when you've made up your mind, and if you don't come within 3 days, I'll assume this meeting never happened."

King Vanir left the room followed by Frey, as an introduction. Only Daru was the one in the room.

It is difficult, Daru said in his heart.

Shortly after, Frey returned to the room. He knew that Daru was currently thinking of a way out of the matter of the residence of the non-human races.

"An idea?" ask Daru as soon as he finds out Frey entered the room.

"What King Vanir feared was the Council's view on him. If we remove those worries, maybe we can get what we ask for" Frey replied as she approached Daru and sat down beside him.

"I think if we give the equivalent of an area of more than 50 km², King Vanir's worries will not happen" added Frey.

Daru thought, trying to find the equivalent intended by Frey.

"Aah!" daru shouted after being silent for quite a long time.

"He mentioned about the gold that was underground that I asked for, it meant that he was still hoping to find a gold mine. Then, I'll find him a new gold mine" Daru said.

Frey raised his eyebrows and said, "You can?"

"Yes, with technology. One gold mine for the 1 kilometer area of the wall, what do you think?" said Daru.

"Because of the gold crisis in the Kingdom of Resia, perhaps King Vanir will accept it, even though the Kingdom of Resia has got enough gold from the Kingdom of Saria," replied Frey.

Daru smiled and said, "Good, thank you."

Frey nodded enthusiastically before heading to the upper first floor to help with the sale.

Daru pulled out his smartphone after seeing Frey disappear from his sight. Daru opens the Universal Online Shopping Web and heads to the search bar, he writes "Metal Detector."

Hopefully this will be enough to satisfy Uncle Vanir, Daru thought as he let out his sly smile again.
