Daru Leaves Sarren Hill

"By the way, I'll be away from Sarren Hill for a few months. I want to plant teleportation portals throughout the kingdoms of the Isla Continent. I'm going to go home once a month to refill the store's supplies" Daru told all his employees on the upper first floor.

"I'll start my journey tomorrow" he added.

"Eh!? Why so suddenly, Boss!?" sylph shouted from behind the counter.

"I've been planning this since the beginning, I'm waiting for the Blue Star Restaurant and Bull's Horn Bar to really stand firmly on Sarren Hill" Daru replied.

"Then who will lead us, boss?" asked Ged who was next to Sylph.

"If Frey comes back, let him take the lead, if Frey decides to quit, then Shera and Sylph do."

Daru took out a leather pouch containing five thousand gold coins, then said, "This money is just in case there is any urgent matter in the store. Who's in charge, then he's the one who's gonna hold this money, okay?"

"understand!" yell out all Daru employees.

"I'll go down to the lower second floor to fill up the supplies. Open the shop again" Daru ordered.

Daru employees also returned to do their duties even with a bad expression because the Boss was sad. They are not like slaves in general who always hope death comes to pick up their master, they are really grateful to have Daru as their master.

Daru arrived at the lower second floor and immediately made a purchase in giant quantities. Not just store supplies, he also buys wine for the bar, durable groceries for the restaurant, shampoos and perfumes for the trading company, and some daily necessities for his employees. He also attached labels stating the price of the items to be sold.

Within moments, the lower second floor was filled with items he had just bought.

"Maybe this is enough for one month" he murmured.

Although Daru could have returned to Sarren Hill every day using the teleportation portal, but his heart did not feel ready to meet Frey, even today Daru did not expect to meet him. Daru is convinced that if he meets Frey, Frey will tell Daru about his engagement to Chris.

It must be more painful than I feel right now. If he comes back tonight, what should I do? thought Daru.

Daru climbs to the upper first floor and enters the room to calm his mind which is still ringing with the scene when Frey holds the hand of a man Daru believes to be Chris.

Night falls, but Frey's Moon City home still shows signs of life.

There were currently three people there, those people were Frey and his two friends, Elise and Rize. The two men come to Frey's house after being informed of the news of Frey's parents by Ron. They gathered there to celebrate the freedom of Frey's parents, even though they were six months late to do so.

"Then, where's your girlfriend?" ask Elise, Ron's wife and Frey's best friend.

Frey was shocked to remember his goal of going to Moon City.

"Oh shit! It's already night!" scream Frey.

"I have to go back to Sarren Hill and meet Daru" he added before getting up from his seat.

"Frey, we rarely get together like this since you've been working at Sarren Hill, don't be in a hurry" said Elise.

"Elise's right, you can see your boss in the morning" said Rize, Frey's friend.

"But I have to say something important to him" Frey said with a puzzled expression.

"Calm down, it's already night, your boss must have fallen asleep too. You can meet him tomorrow" said Elise, drawing Frey's hand.

"But ...."

"Stay here and tell us about the man who pulled your heart" said Rize.

"Hahh, all right." Frey finally gave up.

"Then, who's your girlfriend?" rize asked curiously after Frey sat back down.

"He is my boss and the owner of Sarren Hill, Daru," Frey replied proudly.

"Eh!? Lord Daru!?" rize and Elise shouted at the same time. They both do not know about the figure behind the reason Frey rejected Chris.

"True, we've both been in a relationship since six months ago" Frey said.

"It's only fitting that he can pull your heart out, that person is truly a great person" Rize said.

"I agree with you, Rize. If it was an ordinary man, it would be impossible for the Ice Queen to fall in love," Elise said in a mocking tone.

"Hahaha, why is it always the Ice Queen being mentioned." Frey laughed in response to the words of his two friends.

The three of them chatted to sleep. That way, Daru's hope that does not want to meet Frey tonight was granted.

Meanwhile in Daru's room.

"He didn't return to Sarren Hill? Hahh, I'm stupid. Why am I waiting for a woman who has a future husband to come to my bed? I'm not a fucekboy," murmured Daru lamenting his stupidity.

Although Daru hopes not to meet Frey, but he also hopes that Frey will come and tell him that everything is not what Daru thinks. But it was late and Frey didn't come. Daru was happy because his hope was fulfilled. Yet in the smallest part of his heart, he felt an overwhelming disappointment.

"Hahh, I'd better get some sleep. Hopefully tomorrow the author is not cruel today." Daru closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Next morning.

"Frey, wakeup. The sun has risen, I will kiss you if you don't wake up soon" Daru said as he gathered his consciousness.

It was customary for Daru and Frey to wake each other up when they woke up. However, it was all completely different this morning.

Daru opened his eyes and did not find the beautiful figure of Frey beside him.

"Damn!" said Daru while gritting his teeth and covering both eyes with his left hand to hold back tears.

"Damn! Damnit damnit! Damnit damnit! Shit!"

Daru got up and grabbed the foot of the small table beside his bed and threw it against the wall.

The table was smashed to pieces thanks to Daru's full strength which he used to throw, he was really sad. How could he not be sad if he woke up and found his nightmare still continuing?

"Frey!" shouted Daru.

Daru's shout was loud enough that it could be heard by Shera and Sylph who were inside the room next to Daru's room. The two of them shed tears knowing the condition of their Boss's heart that was completely shattered.

"Do we have to go to the boss?" shera asked, wiping her tears.

"Don't, it's better to let the Boss calm down first. I'm afraid he'll feel sorry if we both meet him now" Sylph replied with a sad expression.

Back to Daru's room.

After calming down, Daru came out of his room and knocked on the door of Shera and Sylph's room.

Tok tok tok tok

In just a few seconds, the door opened from the inside.

"B-boss, good morning," Shera said after opening the door.

"Good morning," Daru replied. Daru realizes that Shera has just cried after seeing both of Shera's eyes in red.

"Please collect everything, I'll leave immediately after taking a shower" Daru said without mentioning Shera's eyes.

"Ba-well, Boss." Shera immediately rushed to carry out Daru's orders.

When Shera left the room with the door open, Daru saw Sylph rubbing her eyes with her hands.

They both cried because of what happened to me? thought Daru.

Daru ignored Sylph and immediately headed upstairs to take a bath.

After a while, all of Daru's employees gathered on the upper first floor with bad faces.

"Good morning, everyone," Daru greeted with a forced smile after coming out of the bathroom.

"Good morning, Boss!" Knowing that his boss was trying to smile, all his employees screamed loudly even though they were in grief.

"Thank you for the spirit, I'm leaving now. Business on Sarren Hill I leave it to all of you. Even if I leave, obey the rules, do not consume too much of the goods sold. Especially you, Ged, I know you eat a lot of ice cream" joked Daru trying to melt the atmosphere.

Ged smiled as he scratched his non-itchy head, he said, "Hehe, that's good, Boss."

"Pfft, he's been found out" said Rena.

Everyone laughed at Ged's reaction.

But ...,

"Hahaha, Ged, Boss Frey knows that too, you know?" said Liz.

Liz's words immediately made the atmosphere that had originally melted full of laughter become a silence full of sadness.

Daru clapped his hands to resuscitate his employees.

"I'm leaving, take care of your health." Daru said goodbye with a face adorned with smiles.

"B-boss, wait ..., why can't you go home every night using the teleportation portal instead? Why once a month?" ask Sylph curiously.

"I can indeed use the teleportation portal wherever I am. But my heart is not ready to add to the pain. I'm sure Frey will come again, whether it's goodbye or back to work here. I'm not ready to meet him yet. So, let me delay the pain for another month," Daru replied before starting to walk towards the shop door.

"Please promise to come home in a month, boss!" shout Sylph.

Other employees shouted at Daru.

"We'll wait for you to come home!"

Daru also left his shop accompanied by the screams of his employees.

Daru then opened the teleportation portal and went to Frizz Town.

The sun began to rise, its rays carrying warmth throughout the Isla Continent.

Frey's house, Moon City.

"Let's, I'll kiss you if you don't wake up" Frey muttered with half-opened eyes.

After Frey managed to open her eyes wide, she furrowed her brows as her vision captured a different room from the one she usually used to sleep in.

Frey swept his gaze all over the direction and saw not a single living being other than himself. After gathering consciousness, Frey was shocked to realize that it was almost noon. He rushed towards the teleportation portal to go to Sarren Hill.

When he reached Sarren Hill, he saw the two guards of the teleportation portal, Rei and Gordon, giving bad expressions. Frey didn't care about it because his current focus was Daru. He also ran to the store.

"Where's Daru?" frey asked right after entering the store.

Daru's employees expressed badly as Gordon and Rei after seeing Frey enter the shop

It was this woman who caused Boss Daru heartache, they thought.

Frey was curious after seeing their expressions, but he did not so much pierce her and immediately headed towards the upper second floor after not finding Daru's face there.

Frey opened the door of the room on the upper second floor and found Daru was not there either. Frey rushed down to the lower first floor to Daru's room. When he opened the door, he was shocked to see the small table that was supposed to be beside the bed, now into small pieces under the wall.

"What's really going on?" said Frey.

"Daru's Boss' heart was completely destroyed." Suddenly a voice sounded from the door. Frey looked at the source of the voice and saw Shera standing there with an angry look.

"What's going on?" asked Frey with a sharp look.

"Bos Daru knows about you accepting Chris' proposal. You know, Boss Frey, Boss Daru is really tormented because of you." Now the look on Shera's face is really bad, really signifying great sadness.

I accepted Chris' proposal!? How could he conclude like that? thought Frey.

"Tell me everything that happened!" snapped Frey to Shera.

Shera told Frey everything, about Daru who saw Frey holding "Chris" into his house, Daru who went from Sarren Hill and planned to go home once a month, and it happened this morning when Daru slammed the table before shouting Frey's name.

"I don't know how good a guy named Chris is in your eyes, but I'm sure, Daru boss hundreds ..., no, thousands of times better than Chris! I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but ..., Boss Frey ..., you're stupid." Shera ended her explanation.

Frey was pensive after hearing Shera's explanation. He was completely confused as everything was going in a mess.

"Ke-to-why could it be like an i-this?" frey said with tears.

"Shera, you know? I never accepted Chris' proposal. It's all my fault. You're right, I'm a fool" Frey added before sitting up in bed and crying out loud.
