The Battle of Sarren Hill

Daru gritted his teeth.

"Dari! Go!" shouted Frey while remaining in a position ready to fight.

Why would he want to kill me? The only reason that makes sense is Julius' treasure. But I'm not talking about that to anyone but Frey. How does he know? He also did not mention treasure. But why should my life be? said Daru in heart.

"Love is painful" said Xavier, shaking his head. He orders the Griffon to attack Frey.

The Griffon shot faster than the speed Daru had used earlier.

Frey reflexively activated an ice wall magic that began to form between himself and the Griffon. But it was in vain, with Xavier easily parse out which of the spells Frey used. Suddenly, the ice wall melted.

Frey raised his sword and tried to resist the attack that the Griffon was about to make. As before, Griffon raised one of his front legs to claw at Frey.

Frey successfully resisted the Griffon attack. But the Griffon blindly tried to scratch Frey.
